27/02/2026: Wandering around Palmanova, we found this charming little restaurant. The food was excellent, the cod Vicenza-style was fantastic, the tartare was excellent, and of course, the prosciutto crudo. The wines were EXCELLENT. The lady was very helpful in offering recommendations and, understanding our tastes, made us feel at home.

16/12/2025: Elegant and refined, the atmosphere is managed by competent, kind, and smiling staff (we all know that these qualities are far from guaranteed). I ate one of the best frichis of my life. Our guests tried other dishes and were all satisfied (I know them well: they're merciless critics, so if they left satisfied, it means everything was truly delicious). The prices are decidedly reasonable, especially after years of skyrocketing prices everywhere. Regardless, excellent value for the high quality. We'll be back, definitely in the warmer months to enjoy the spectacular view of Udine and the surrounding area and the truly friendly welcome. Thank you!

11/03/2026: Hosteria Alla Vecchia Pesa in Orgnano is a traditional Friulian restaurant, combining the rustic charm of yesteryear with a contemporary focus on quality ingredients. The dishes are excellent and varied. The service is courteous and efficient.

20/02/2026: Hosteria Alla Vecchia Pesa is one of those places that immediately makes you feel at home, and then completely wins you over with its food. From the starters of local cold cuts and cheeses to the first courses of the Friulian tradition, every dish is well prepared, generous, and made with excellent local ingredients. The main courses change with the seasons and let you try both hearty traditional cuisine and slightly more creative dishes, always well executed. The homemade desserts are excellent too, and so is the wine. The atmosphere of the osteria is warm and welcoming: the rustic interior, the village of Orgnano, and the friendly service create the ideal setting for a dinner with friends or as a couple. The staff are kind, attentive without being intrusive, and know how to recommend both the daily specials and the wines to pair.

07/03/2026: We were served a welcome pepper cream soup with bread. It was a shame the bread was old, not oven-toasted, and therefore quite soggy. As for the first courses, the portions were a bit small (I had the leek-filled gnocchi, but I tried a bit of everything), but everything was good. For the second courses, I had the frico with polenta, which was good, but I don't think it was homemade. Too bad. As for the atmosphere, I have to say I felt cold. The fire was out, rightly so given the time of year, and there was only an electric heater warming the entire dining room.

12/02/2026: A traditional trattoria with a timeless atmosphere. Reservations are required, seating is limited, and the place is always packed. Lunch is excellent and the fixed-price menu is a good value. If you're in the San Daniele area, you absolutely must stop here.

16/03/2026: Homemade craft beer, good, very light with notes of cardamom, we ate two very good first courses, generous portions, very kind service, a nice stop to repeat when we go towards Carnia, very honest price

23/02/2026: A lovely, welcoming atmosphere, conveniently located in Venzone. The food is plentiful and tasty; my favorite thing was the dessert. As for the service, the young staff leaves a bit to be desired; I noticed they were distracted from the customers.
