The food was truly delicious: the appetizer, the charcuterie board, and the prosciutto crudo were excellent, as was the lardo, exquisite, thinly sliced and beautifully flavored.
The wild garlic orzotto was superb, the beef tagliata was practically perfect, and the fried calamari was exceptional, tender and expertly cooked in fresh oil.
For dessert, the gubana (a typical local cake) topped with grappa and the zeppola di San Giuseppe (stuffed sweet bread) were sublime.
The price was fair and well-proportioned for the quality of the dinner.
We will definitely be back.

28/03/2026: Terrible, terrible, terrible, it couldn't be worse.
Non-existent service: you sit down, the waiter looks at you, walks away, and then doesn't come back for your order. You ask him if he could please clean the table and bring you the menu, he looks at you and disappears...
It's true that Tarvisio always has a lot of customers, but after so many years of accepting this kind of service because there was no alternative, I'm now turning to new businesses that are much better in every respect.

25/12/2025: An excellent Christmas lunch, even for me, who can't eat wheat. For the first time, a restaurant served me exactly the same dishes as the other guests, but without wheat flour, and I didn't have to give up anything! I'm only posting a few photos, but there were so many more dishes. Thank you!

17/02/2026: If you're craving takeout pizza, you absolutely must try it.
I recommend takeout or delivery, as the place itself isn't very inviting or welcoming.
There are, however, a few tables inside.
Unfortunately, there's no parking, which makes the idea of a quick stop even more appealing.
The staff is friendly.
The wait times are good, even for last-minute orders.

19/03/2026: We've been there several times, but before the renovation. Today we returned. The place had a strong smell of a not-so-clean kitchen, average-to-low quality food, sauces and gravies that didn't match the type of pasta they were paired with, few desserts and not particularly good ones, a limited selection of liquors, and the service was always friendly but unwelcoming and uninformative. Superficial responses to specific questions. This new management doesn't live up to the restaurant's history. Unfortunately, we've lost a good place in the neighborhood.

16/07/2025: Unglaublich traditionelles Essen, friulanische Hausmannskost eben. Sehr gelungenes Flair. Das Kellnerteam ist sehr jung & eingespielt.
Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant, wenn man authenisches Essen haben will.
11/07/2025: Sehr schönes Lokal mit gemütlichen Tischen unter den Lauben, direkt an einem kleinen Gewässer. Wir haben es wieder einmal genossen, nachdem wir bei fast jeden Italien-Aufenthalt vorbei kommen. Wie immer sehr gute Qualität und guter Preis, tolle Bedienung!

21/05/2026: Located between the train station and Udine city center. Large spaces and clean bathrooms. Quick staff. Recommended for a quick stop at the bar. Quick lunches are possible, but nothing special (it doesn't deserve a fifth star). Excellent if you're in the area on foot.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants to fill up on a budget. 🔝 Warm atmosphere, not too crowded (February 2026), and professional staff!

04/05/2026: I can't believe all the negative reviews I've read about this place. I discovered Sartoria a year ago and it's become my weekly treat. Personally, it's the best burger I've ever had...and I'll keep eating it!! (With stuffed jalapenos)
03/05/2026: I came here with my friends who run a half marathon and we're visibly tired. We ordered one small and two large beers to drink. We also ordered some fries. The beer came in a few minutes, but the fries never came. After 40 minutes, we were angry and wanted to go, we went to pay and they charged us the beers and the fries. The service was bad but it wasn't too crowded. Their slogan is "The best burger in town" but with the service that bad I don't think the food is much better either.
