Slightly old-fashioned ambiance and decor.
Several antique clocks adorn the walls of the restaurant.
15/07/2025: We stopped for a business lunch at this small trattoria. The business menu was €15. I ordered a second course, which was decidedly poor (roast chicken and potatoes), a small bowl of cabbage, water, and coffee. The atmosphere is informal, with one room decorated in a fast-food style and the other in a classic style. There's an outdoor terrace with Brussels sprouts. I'm giving it three stars based on trust.

12/08/2025: I'm not from the area, but I stopped in for breakfast at this bakery. The staff were really friendly, the coffee was good, and I had a mango/papaya croissant, which I'd never had before—it was absolutely delicious! If I were from the area, I'd definitely be a regular customer. Congratulations!

06/06/2025: Pasquale's pizza is top! And he also made us a heart-shaped pizza ;-), thanks, we wanted to eat there the next day too but it rained and we, on a motorbike, couldn't delay our departure at that point, but we would have come back for the legendary dishes of Papa Matteo!

14/08/2025: I just called to reserve a table right now. They hung up on me because I asked to reserve a table for tomorrow in Catalan. I called back and told them that if they didn't understand me, they should ask me to change the language and that I was being very rude.
10/08/2025: We ordered takeout, and the fries were raw and mushy. The burgers said they had glazed bread, but they didn't have glazed bread; they were just regular bread. I ordered them without vegetables because of an allergy, but they served both burgers with vegetables. €42 for two burgers and some poor-quality fries. Terrible, a disaster.

20/06/2025: One of the best cantucini I've ever eaten. Very tasty and not too hard. They must have been made not too long ago. Highly recommended. Not exactly cheap, but worth every cent.
I also got a pizetti, which was also very tasty.

25/04/2025: Al David is a wine bar with kitchen where you eat divinely and immediately feel like you're among friends.
The cuisine is excellent, refined and creative, and Sami is a true marvel: energy, passion and hospitality in one person.
From 1st to 30th April it hosts the Le vie delle Foto exhibition, which can be visited during opening hours.
Go ahead guys! A place that combines taste, heart and culture.

Much better than those trendy pizzerias nowadays with huge crust pizzas that have nothing good or substantial about them and only make your belly bloated to the point of being sick. On Wednesdays, some takeaway pizzas are only 5 euros!

14/08/2025: Excellent brioche made fresh daily in the am and illy espresso here. The small panini sandwiches are excellent. Prepared on small baked fresh roll with cotta and fromage. The ladies are friendly and eager to serve the customers. The line of locals speaks for itself. There is a constant stream in and out of local workman and residents. Stopping for a quick bite and an espresso or cappuccino. Highly suge

06/08/2025: A spacious pastry shop located on the outskirts of Muggia: perfect for a strategic break, especially for those like me driving to Croatia. Plenty of seating both inside and out, ideal in any season.
The selection of desserts is truly extensive, ranging from traditional to more classic options: the brioches are fresh and delicious.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
Recommended for breakfast or a snack before getting back on the road!

As sushi lovers, we decided to try Shi's.
The guy who greeted us was always kind and helpful—well done!
The food...greasy.
The wait was incredibly long.
After an hour and 15 minutes of waiting, we were missing two dishes from our first order, and we left without even ordering coffee.
Never again!
