26/07/2025: Questo locale ha un servizio vergognoso.. in tre persone, dopo un ora e mezza dall ordine non arrivavano le pietanze, abbiamo chiesto informazioni e ci hanno risposto che la griglia era piena ed il nostro ordine non era ancora in preparazione.. veramente pessimi.. peraltro siamo stati brontolare perché dovevamo chiedere prima.. incommentabile..

04/08/2025: We ate dinner here on a Saturday night (definitely would suggest booking in advance) and had an amazing meal. The waitress recommended a great wine for what we described we wanted, despite it not being local and was very friendly and attentive throughout. The boar ravioli were definitely the highlight of our meal, making us both go “wow” out load! Overall would recommend for a special night out in Florence, it is expensive but in my view good value for money.

The food is simply wonderful: authentic Italian, creatively interpreted, and prepared with great attention to detail. Each course – from the antipasti and pasta to the desserts – impresses with fresh ingredients and harmonious flavors. The excellent wine selection, perfectly matched to the dishes and leaving nothing to be desired, is also particularly noteworthy. The service is attentive, warm, and professional. The waiters are exceptionally friendly, take the time to offer personal recommendations, and ensure that you feel completely at home. In summary: A thoroughly enjoyable evening in a beautiful restaurant with outstanding cuisine, great wines, and a welcoming team. Anyone visiting Florence should definitely not miss a visit to Il Santo Bevitore.

08/08/2025: Locale essenziale e caratteristico senese. Personale accogliente e gentilissimo. Ottima la scelta dei vini. Cucina tipica toscana meglio i primi dei secondi, specialmente i Pici del Permalico. Conto nella media. Da visitare assolutamente.

30/06/2025: We were staying in the Ambra area recently for vacation and our hotel recommended La Bottega di Duddova for dinner while we were staying there. The hotel made us dinner reservations in advance and the hotel has a private parking lot steps from the restaurant and we were seated promptly at our dinner time and greeted warmly by restaurant staff. The town is so cute and small and we felt we were dining at a really small family establishment. We ordered a bottle of house wine to start for 10 Euros and for starter we ordered the local cheeses for 12 Euros. We ordered a pasta to share with truffle for 16 Euros and the pork slices to share for 16 Euros. Everything was absolutely outstanding and very flavorful and fresh. We highly recommend trying if you’re in the area!

28/07/2025: A Service Disappointment An experience that unfortunately proved disappointing despite the attractive location and the quality of the products offered. Our reservation was set for 1:00 PM. My partner and I, along with our child, arrived 20 minutes early. Even though the other couple hadn't arrived yet, we were immediately asked if we wanted to order, clearly showing a rush to get our drinks and clear the table. Our inquiries about the dishes were met with curt responses that seemed to annoy the staff. The climax came when we received the bill. After requesting four amaros, the waiter returned to say that, due to an evening event and the need to prepare the restaurant, they couldn't serve us (it was 2:50 PM). A few seconds later, he returned with a single glass of amaro, almost as if doing us a favor, accompanied by the POS machine to charge us and "clear" the table. Considering a cost of around €80 per person, I would have expected a much different experience, especially in Tuscany, a region renowned for its hospitality. In short, the Albergaccio di Castellina offers quality products, but the excessive price, combined with rushed and unwelcoming service, make the overall experience unsatisfactory. This is a real shame, because in Tuscany there are equally culinary-quality restaurants, but where the welcome is decidedly warmer.

05/08/2025: We came on the recommendation of our guide and were not disappointed. Exceptionally good food, delicately seasoned, introduced us to Tuscan cuisine. A clear recommendation for high-quality food and a pleasant atmosphere. It's a pleasure to be a guest here. We would have liked to come more often, but we were told that only cash payments were accepted.

03/08/2025: Change of ownership! We were regulars at this authentic and discreet restaurant, run by two charming gentlemen, with a small, simple menu full of flavors. Always recommended by the 2025 Routard guide, it's now very different. We're always very well received by a smiling and friendly team, the prices are always reasonable, the decor is even more pleasant in this magnificent location, and the food is good but not exceptional. We should give them a chance and not compare them with their old identity!

17/07/2025: Wonderful food, great staff, and did I mention the food? This was my second time eating at Trattoria L'Oriuolo and it was just as I remembered from 2019. Truly one of my favorites!

12/07/2025: I came in by chance, but the T-bone steak was really delicious. It didn't smell. I ate it with a little salt. I regret leaving it behind.

11/08/2025: Ce lo ha consigliato il proprietario di Antiche Mura, ed era relativamente vicino, al termine della storica via Cavour, tra l'altro; l'indirizzo è via Canto alla Croce. Offrono piatti fatti in casa, antipasti per iniziare, risotto e pasta piatto principale e come dessert torta fatta in casa. I prezzi sono molto ragionevoli, circa 15 euro a persona.

26/07/2025: We had dinner on Saturday, July 26th, a party of four—two adults and two children. Attracted by the family-style atmosphere and the dishes listed on the chalkboard in the window, we went in, but the first negative was that all the dishes we wanted, which were on the menu brought to the table and on the chalkboard... were unavailable because they were "out of season." So why are they on the menu and also listed on the chalkboard at the entrance? We ordered tagliatelle and gnocchi with duck ragù, which arrived in portions that were small even for the children. The ragù was decidedly too dry, but flavorful. The salty pici cacio e pepe were sharp (not flavorful, actually very salty, the pecorino cheese was unsuitable, because the dish shouldn't be so salty that it's inedible). Second course: braised beef, good. Side dish: peperonata, too undercooked. The house red wine in a carafe was sour in the mouth despite being labeled as Montepulciano. Final bill: €95. Wrongly spent, I'd say.

22/07/2025: A Mystical Experience I've rarely had the opportunity to experience such a beautiful dining experience. Dining at Pepe Nero Restaurant is like this: it's engaging with new, unusual flavors, it's seeing and tasting modern and traditional cuisine at the same time, the refined, expert, and sophisticated touch of those who, it's clear, have always been part of Great Cuisine. Each course is a surprise, to be appreciated first with the eyes and then with the palate. I always choose the tasting menu, so I can try a variety of flavors on the ever-changing menus: the cauliflower, red shrimp, and licorice risotto was a true delight, the Milanese-style red mullet with cabbage and grilled risotto was a delicacy, the stuffed squid was delicious and incredibly tender, accompanied by artichokes, black garlic, and Prato vermouth. And I won't even mention the culinary journey offered before lunch, with delicious small portions that literally ignite the senses. The staff is young, friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. The experience at Pepe Nero in Prato is a treat I always enjoy whenever I can. Thank you!

25/06/2025: It was a pleasant surprise! I went to lunch with my wife and son. We chose this restaurant because we had heard good things about it but we were a little afraid that it was the classic restaurant with expensive but extremely poor dishes… We wanted to try the experience anyway and we came away enthusiastic! The prices are absolutely fair and not too high but above all the quality is very high! Both in the choice of raw materials and in the skill in preparing the dishes we fell in love with it! We shared an appetizer among 3 of us (just to nibble something while waiting for the first courses) and incredibly the dish was sufficiently abundant to allow everyone to eat enough to appreciate it. Afterwards each of us had a first course and as an accompaniment we chose a bottle of white wine (it cost 18 euros and the wine list is fantastic! There are bottles of all types and from all over the world). Even for the first courses the quantity of the courses was generous and both my wife and my son struggled to finish… I was “forced” to help them a little… eheh! Having tasted all three first courses, I can say that the skill of those who work in the kitchen is truly exceptional! Congratulations! To finish, my wife and I shared a second course. We were very pleased to receive the dish already divided into two plates. The extremely professional and kind service is another strong point of this restaurant. In total, we spent 97 euros (so about 32 euros per person). We did not have dessert or coffee because we were full and satisfied. In the end, the expense was more than acceptable and I have rarely been so happy after paying the bill. We will definitely return every now and then to be lulled and spoiled with such quality.

10/08/2025: ✨ An unforgettable evening at Marisa's Il Piattoforte Restaurant in Monteguidi (SI)! ✨ Nestled in the heart of the Elsa Valley, we delighted our palates with a true triumph of flavors. A culinary experience we recommend to all lovers of good food. Here's a taste of our gastronomic journey: 🧀 The creamy pecorino fondue with truffle sauce: a standing ovation-worthy start! 🍝 The pici with venison ragù: a first course that is pure Tuscan poetry, rich and enveloping. 🥩 The fillet with truffle sauce and the tagliata with arugula and parmesan: the meat, the true star, tender and flavorful. 🍖 And to finish in style, the lamb: an authentic flavor that ended our dinner on a sweet note. A perfect blend of tradition and flavor, all in a welcoming atmosphere and with a romantic view 🥰. Congratulations to the legendary Marisa for giving us such emotions at the table!

26/07/2025: We stopped in Arezzo on the way home because my husband wanted to eat a traditional Florentine steak, and this is the perfect place! Fresh pasta with special sauces, delicious truffles, and desserts too! Compliments to the staff for their customer service!

24/07/2025: We had lunch at the osteria and were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and the dishes that lived up to expectations. All this was accompanied by a refined atmosphere and excellent service. A special mention goes to the waiter Simone, who was knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended!

23/07/2025: Sicuramente uno dei migliori ristoranti in Siena l’unico difetto è la tendenza ad ammiccare a presentazioni dei piatti un po’ gourmet che non hanno niente a che vedere con la cucina toscana e specialmente a quella senese, per il resto consigliatissimo
