Osteria Brunello In Milano

Overall, it's excellent value for money. Although the food wasn't the fastest, the service and dishes were superb! Highly recommended!

I made a reservation and visited around lunchtime on May 17th. I ordered Ossobuco + Risotto, Ravioli, and Roasted Vegetables. The Roasted Vegetables were really delicious, and as for the Ravioli, it tastes best when eaten hot as soon as it comes out. The outer layer became hard as it cooled down. The Risotto had a flavor I was trying for the first time, but it was decent. The Ossobuco is similar to Korean Galbi-jjim (braised short ribs) and Jangjorim (beef jerky), but without the sweetness. It slices well along the grain, but you have to chew it for a long time once it enters your mouth. Since you are in Milan, it is worth trying at least once!! The staff are gruff but friendly.

Great food, great wine, and excellent service. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the roasted vegetables. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Highly recommend Osteria Brunello and would definitely come back!

We made an 8:00 pm reservation and were welcomed by friendly and attentive staff throughout the evening. As dinner went on, however, we noticed that almost everyone around us was speaking English, and it felt more tourist-oriented than we expected. We were automatically given English menus as well. This is not meant negatively at all, but part of our joy in traveling through Italy has been trying to learn and understand the language ourselves. We honestly would have enjoyed being given Italian menus first and figuring things out on our own. The menu was straightforward with a decent variety of choices, including chef’s specials highlighted on the menu. The food was good overall, but nothing particularly memorable compared to many of the wonderful meals we’ve had throughout Italy. It was enjoyable, just not a standout experience for us personally. That said, Milan is a beautiful city and we’ve truly enjoyed the food scene here. Others may absolutely love Osteria Brunello, but for us, it’s probably not a place we would return to on a future visit.

We spent New Year's Eve with the family in Milan, and after some research, we ended up at Osteria Brunello on Corso Garibaldi. It was a great choice. The place is truly beautiful: well-kept interiors, a warm and cozy atmosphere, the kind of place where you sit down and immediately feel at ease, even with kids in tow. In spring and summer, there are also tables outside in the pedestrian area, which we imagine is even more pleasant. The cuisine is traditional Milanese and Tuscan, with excellent ingredients and satisfying portions. We ordered a risotto, which was delicious and creamy, and the kids polished off the cutlet without leaving any crumbs, a sign that it was as it should be: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We paired it all with a bottle of wine from their list, which boasts a nice selection with a focus on Tuscan reds. In terms of quality/price, it's in line with Milan's average, which means you're not spending a fortune, but you're eating well. The only downside: the service was friendly but not impeccable. The children's order arrived a little later than the rest of the table, a small thing, but it makes a difference with little ones waiting. Overall, a positive experience. We'd love to return, perhaps next time in the spring to take advantage of the outdoor seating.

The prawn risotto was great! It was relatively easy to get a seat. The dessert was alright, could be better.

Food was good, even our Italian friend enjoyed it! Vibes were nice and calm.

The best gastronomic experience I had in Milan. I ordered the award-winning veal dish and it was wonderfully prepared; even the grains of coarse salt that decorate the meat are a perfect match! The waitress is Brazilian and recommended a good wine to accompany it. The place is very beautiful, decorated with immense shelves of wine. Good price for what it offers. I recommend it!
