Here in Gigi trattoria they treat you like you are a host in their house. Plus what can I said about food?? The house wine amazing!! And incredible prices

21/05/2025: An experience to absolutely try! Refined dishes with a revisited traditional base but truly worthy. Delicate and refined flavors, combined with mastery. Excellent service and truly remarkable cellar. Location immersed in the Chianti hills. Nothing else needs to be said. To try!

21/05/2025: We had eaten at the place across the street (big mistake, don’t eat there) and were hoping to just get a dessert and wine to make up for a disappointing meal. We were told that you couldn’t just eat a dessert and turned away and that the place across the street did “basically the same thing” of that is the case then the food here must be very poor as well but can’t attest to that. Just to be clear there were still tables free and it was moving towards the end of the evening (half an hour before last orders) so baffled at why they refused us.

08/06/2025: Best food I've had so far in Tuscany. Traditional dishes, very friendly and welcoming staff, local/authentic atmosphere and amazing sunset views. Honestly can't ask for more.

08/06/2025: A very different experience! This place has its own very distinctive style & taste. If you are easily offended then this is not for you. A quirky, weird, enjoyable, memorable experience. And the food ain’t bad either! 😀 house wine is delicious. Very reasonable spot for a different type of dinner.

31/05/2025: Having read the recent reviews and settling on making the trip, we were met with a string of disappointment during our visit. We ordered the Tortelli, Steak and Beans. The service was genuinely existent. We were offered a table outside where we faced a wall, when there were 2 other tables available already set. As we found, neither were actually booked as they seated other walk ins after us. While the food was quick to arrive and was reasonable in taste, the steak was poorly cooked, and still with a lot of gristle. The Tortelli was quite good though. After all this the prices were 'reasonable' had the food and service been better. But in this case, it was quite an expensive meal for something that was not really reflective of the other reviews and ratings. I'll put it down to a tough night for the staff, or something else going on (ie more about locals than visitors). But there were plenty of other options in the township that would be deserving of your visitor dollars. This reads as a tough review, but genuinely felt that it just wasnt the experience we had hoped for a restaurant with such positive reviews.

09/06/2025: No te pierdas esta golosina en Florencia. Sin duda, algunos de los mejores alimentos que jamás disfrutará. Desde nuestra llegada nos dieron un capricho de una experiencia absolutamente inolvidable. La comida era buena, el servicio excepcional, y el pequeño espacio está lleno de personajes tan animados que debería ser la base para una obra de Broadway. Las reservas son obligatorias, y como el restaurante es bastante compacto se debe hacer con mucha antelación. Esto es Italia como debería ser. Muy recomendable.

09/06/2025: We went for a lunch during the weekend, place was busy so having a reservation came handy (I highly recommend making a reservation if you like to eat at this place). Service was quick by Italian standards, friendly, giving good guidance. We got pasta, fish (cod) and steak. All food was good, but the steak was standing up and is must have 😊.

21/05/2025: Delicious food at a fair price! The atmosphere is typically Italian and very harmonious. The service is perfect! When you are in Pistoia or nearby, look for this place for dinner.

18/05/2025: What probably explains the very mixed reviews for this restaurant is that you have to be very careful what you order. The carciofi fritti are fabulous. So is the bread, prosciutto, olives, olive oil. But the verdure ‘da orto’ haven’t seen a garden in quite some time and were also burnt. The special of chicken and rabbit was poorly cooked and poor quality. Looking around, the traditional Tuscan tomato soup would be a good choice and any of the cheeses, charcuterie. The wine is also excellent. But tbh, there are many better choices in Pistoia.

10/06/2025: Il cibo era veramente mediocre, se non pessimo. Prezzi non alti, ma servizio scadente. Gli affettati portati in tavola erano rinsecchiti dal caldo, l'insalata mista era abbondante ma triste e non da frigo.

10/06/2025: Osteria i Santi, even though it was late in the evening they waited for us, the service was very hospitable and fast, the quality of the food was excellent, the price was more affordable than the prices in Pisa.

22/05/2025: Beautiful experience, very kind and professional staff. Very beautiful and relaxing place. Here you can taste genuine Tuscan food. The waiter, a very kind boy who can advise you both on the dishes and on the wines to match. Benedetta, the restaurateur very kind and easy-going. There were 4 of us and we felt at ease and pampered. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

17/05/2025: We had a lunch of superlative pappa al pomodoro and a memorable Fiorentina (made with Tuscan meat, not imported from abroad) with an excellent house red. The host is friendly and courteous, who puts his heart and soul into it and who, he says, doesn't look at these reviews. The digestive "Spinello" is unmissable.
