13/03/2026: I dined alone a few nights ago at Che bolle in pentola?, a Tuscan restaurant in Turin's Campidoglio district, just steps from the MAU – Museum of Urban Art. A truly interesting place for those who love the authentic flavors of Tuscany. I started with a rich and well-balanced Tuscan appetizer: crostini with chicken liver pâté (delicater than the traditional Tuscan version, probably designed to appeal to Turinese tastes, but still very good), fried unsalted Tuscan bread with prosciutto, a warm taragna polenta with melting lard on top – simply exceptional, a farro salad perfect for cleansing the palate between bites, finocchiona, Tuscan salami, and the ever-present panzanella, a symbol of Tuscan tradition. I was torn between peposo and ribollita, but the owner Dario – very friendly and passionate – recommended ribollita since it's a seasonal dish. A perfect choice: rich, flavorful, and truly satisfying, a classic traditional dish done right. To finish, I ordered anise-flavored biscuits (similar to "lingue di gatto" biscuits, unfortunately I don't remember the exact name) accompanied by an excellent Vin Santo, perfect for a Tuscan-style end to the meal. The wine list is also very interesting, extensive and well-curated. I really appreciated the option of ordering a half bottle of Braida's "Monella," one of my favorite wines. The service deserves special mention: from the welcome aperitif with a flute of prosecco and small fried foods, to the house liqueur. Service times were perfectly respected, with great customer service and attention to detail (punctual cutlery change and impeccable wine service). I never had to touch the bottle: the waiter was always ready to refill my glass. Such attention is increasingly rare these days, even in highly regarded restaurants. The price is fair for the quality and quantity. A very positive experience that definitely deserves to be repeated, also to try their grill, which is very promising.

14/03/2026: We found this place by chance. We went in because there was a queue at the restaurant we wanted to go to. The food was amazing. The four-cheese gnocchi was particularly fantastic, highly recommended. The tiramisu was very good. The house wine flowed like water. The price-performance ratio was excellent. Recommended.

09/03/2026: We went for lunch and it was a delightful discovery. The atmosphere was elegant and quiet despite the crowds. Book a table in advance. All the dishes were carefully prepared and delicious, using top-quality ingredients. We'll definitely be back...and the prices are really fair!

10/03/2026: For us, Trattoria da Omero was a guarantee. Unfortunately, this time it wasn't the case... The steak was cold, the service slow, there was only one waiter for about 60 people... He did his best. What a shame!

09/03/2026: Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience at this historic Florentine trattoria. I waited over an hour for the first course, asked for cheese but had to go get it ourselves, asked for water and bread, which took a long time to arrive, ordered side dishes, and they never arrived!! We also received some pretty rude responses! The quality of the food... questionable!!! To top it all off, they charged us for two bottles of wine when we'd only ordered one, and four bottles of water when in reality there were three!! It's a shame because I had invited my guests and I would have liked them to be happy, especially since the price wasn't cheap.

22/03/2026: We went to the restaurant at a friend's suggestion. Being an "osteria," we expected traditional Tuscan cuisine. When we arrived, the place was welcoming and warm, all topped off with classic Tuscan hospitality. Once we were seated, we were given a menu with just two pages: the first featuring fish and the second meat. On each page, you could choose between two appetizers, two first courses, and two second courses. So, limited choice, and from what we read on the menu, no typical Tuscan "osteria" dishes, but rather varied dishes from a very unique and refined cuisine. We honestly thought we'd come to the wrong place. The wait staff arrived and realized we were hesitant. The very courteous young woman explained that the menu was limited because they change frequently and focus on quality ingredients. We ordered two appetizers (arancino decomposed and Fassona beef tartare). Not two dishes, but two works of art! An explosion of colors and well-balanced flavors. We were extremely surprised. The main courses confirmed the modern and refined cuisine. We complimented the chef, who amazed us with his amazing dishes, so much so that he wanted to meet us. Personal Opinions Pros - Welcoming atmosphere - Friendly and hospitable staff - Superlative cuisine from appetizers to desserts - Excellent wine list Cons - Parking is quite far away - "Osteria" is misleading - Limited seating Recommended for anyone looking for a culinary experience. The price is definitely above average for an osteria, but justified by the good wines and top-notch cuisine.

08/02/2026: Beautiful atmosphere, excellent food. Long wait times, if all the rooms are full like today, a Sunday in February. Great selection of wines, sparkling wines, grappas, and spirits. Not cheap, but highly recommended. Reservations required.

06/01/2026: On the first Sunday of 2026, I had lunch with some dear friends at this charming osteria, located in the Cremona countryside. Once inside, they took us upstairs. In the dining room, a large fireplace lit the room, warming it up and giving us the feeling of stepping back in time. Every dish we ordered was delicious: we deliberately ordered different dishes and tried a little bit of everything. We were very satisfied with both the food and the service.

The location is beautiful, quiet, and intimate, overlooking the hills. The food is excellent, highly recommended; we'll be back.

12/03/2026: Food was tasty and flavoured, very italian style. The owner is so nice and treats you like family. The waiters are nice and warm. Also, for the menu of the day, the portions are quite big, I would say too big for 1 person. Highly recommend! I would eat at Zio Gigi every day.
