02/06/2026: This has got to be the best restaurant experience I’ve got in Florence. The service was really good. The food was amazing we had the pasta gluten-free and they are really good with preventing cross contamination. And the desert was really good, especially the pistachio cheesecake the owner of this place Gabriel was really funny and talkative and he made the experience really good. This was my graduation and my girlfriend asked them to surprise me with a candlelit cake. She is amazing and Gabrielle took the assignment with all of his heart. He put on we are the champions music gave me a nice speech and he made a nice toast to me and congratulated me. Lastly, my girlfriend has eaten here multiple times before and she has always been very satisfied with service and with the food she is coeliac.

09/07/2026: We were drawn in by the beautiful atmosphere inside, which was visible from the outside. Inside, it was stunning, with a herringbone tiled ceiling. It was pleasantly cool. We were served delicious fresh bread with our meal. The wines were good and relatively affordable. Not to mention the local gin for the gin tonic. Hospitality is top-notch. They didn't have any change, so they rounded the bill down. I absolutely recommend this restaurant for its extensive wine list, air conditioning, very good food, and hospitality!

When ordering, much of the menu wasn't available—potatoes for side dishes, sliced ​​steak, etc.—after taking our orders, we asked if we could have all the dishes at once so we could have lunch together. 05/05/2026: This isn't a review, but a thank you to Dario and Samanta, two unique and rare people. We stayed three nights. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the mattress was indescribably comfortable after a day of exploring the area. We decided to have dinner there every night... the pici, the Florentine steak, the burrata-filled sweets, the platters... not to mention their homemade tarts and tiramisu, so delicious that they express all the passion of a couple who put their heart into what they do. Thank you for letting us spend four days with smiles. The laughter we shared as if we were old friends will stay with me until the next time, and I hope very soon that we'll be back... because we definitely will, your sacrifices leave a lasting impression. We love you guys, and see you next time.

30/04/2026: We stayed there for 3 nights, but unfortunately we had some problems with the room. The fan in the next room or in the kitchen was making a crazy noise. It was partly resolved, partly not. One day, we left in the morning and returned late at night to find the door to the room open. I asked for information, and the gentleman who had been in the attic told me that the TVs were broken and they had been left unlocked. With the entrance doors to the rooms always open day and night, they didn't have the key. The gate to the building was also always open, and on the floor we found everything that had fallen through the hatch in the ceiling. Breakfast was good, the croissants. We asked if we could have savory food... yes, but the lady was very annoyed and she didn't know how to make scrambled eggs. 🤷‍♀️ Very convenient location for reaching Volterra, San Gimignano, and the surrounding areas. Outside, the garden was a real mess. It's a shame because I had read good reviews.

Close to the center of Castellina, the place is mostly outdoor, under the veranda, which is wonderful in the summer, even when it rains like we did. We didn't see many seats inside, perhaps upstairs? Excellent service from the waiter, who helps you park while you order. We had a worry-free evening. Excellent food; we waited a bit, but we didn't even notice while we were chatting. We ordered pizza and some pasta dishes, and they didn't disappoint. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back!

06/07/2026: An excellent trattoria that's born as such, but it has nothing to envy of a good restaurant. The spaghetti with fresh tomato sauce, typical of the menu, is excellent... but the excellent steak deserves special mention. I also recommend their generous appetizer with their signature caciotta cheese, delicious; I could have had dinner with that alone... the service was good... perhaps a little more space between the tables for people to pass by wouldn't be appreciated, but that's a small detail... I recommend it... I'll definitely be back.
