14/10/2025: Back in May of 2024 I gave this restaurant a solid five stars.
Now in October 2025 I only give it three stars.
The food was just OK this time as well as the service
12/10/2025: Yesterday, I went with a couple of friends to the Gastone restaurant in Florence. I had the freshest fish, raw seafood, and oysters. Linguine with lobster and various grilled fish. Everything was excellent, and the service was exceptional. The staff were extremely kind and professional, and there was a wide selection of wines and desserts.

21/11/2025: I was I Florence for 4 nights and went to this restaurant twice. My neice & her husband also went there twice. The food is absolutely amazing- the flavours were mouthwatering. The ambiance, the service and the entire experience is unforgettable. This place is a gem with excellent pricing. Much better than the tourist areas. And to top it off, this is a Micheline star restaurant!! I would highly recommend it. Obviously the locals know it well as they frequent it.

21/11/2025: The culinary offerings and wine selections were exceptional, making the dining experience highly worthwhile. The staff demonstrated exceptional friendliness and helpfulness throughout the meal. The gardens are equally impressive, providing an ideal setting for a leisurely stroll after lunch.
04/11/2025: The lamb was very tasty and the portion was large. The wine recommendations were also delicious, but I found them a bit acidic. The appetizers served before our orders were nice.

10/12/2025: A dish that delights the palate. Perfect pasta, a well-balanced sauce, and fresh cheese that gives it that special something. A simple combination, but perfectly prepared. And Denaldo's service was wonderful.
10/12/2025: The staff were rude, the food wasn't good for the price, clearly catering to tourists who don't understand anything. I don't recommend it, we won't be back! There are thousands of better options.

12/12/2025: The only flaw...not a small one for me...they took away the cutlery from my plate at the end of the appetizer and left it on the table for me to continue my culinary journey towards a splendid second course. A shame, a change of cutlery would have been enough! The food was okay, as was the service and the prompt wine list.
23/10/2025: Everything was perfect. The atmosphere was undoubtedly captivating. The wines were, of course, a must.

08/12/2025: I went on a bad day, perhaps. I'd been there before and had a good experience.
The appetizer was poor quality, and I sent one dish back.
The steak was mediocre.
A tip: get the fixed-price menu.
08/12/2025: The best panna cotta in Florence. All the food is exceptional, and their house wine is excellent.
Arrive before 7 pm to make a reservation and enjoy it. The service was incredible.

15/11/2025: A stop on a long drive. Easy to get to, parking with a bit of luck, very kind and friendly owners, good, authentic food, and very fast service. I'd happily return, taking a more leisurely approach, if I were to ever find myself in the area again.
First course, water, and coffee were €13, so great prices too.

09/11/2025: Traditional Sienese cuisine. The cimalino is excellent, as is the rabbit. It's impossible to describe, it's a must-try.

09/12/2025: It's always crowded, it's very cramped, you mingle with other people, you step on each other's toes... but that's the beauty of it! A true Florentine wine shop, passed down from father to son, that I've been frequenting occasionally for 40 years. If one day it were to disappear or be transformed into something more chic and trendy, I would miss it.
I can't give it 5 stars because it is what it is, but for the atmosphere it has, I'd give it 6!

Interesting selection of dishes
Too bad the octopus with potatoes and chestnuts probably didn't even have an octopus tentacle, and it was poorly cleaned, and three chestnuts were thrown in there. Basically, boiled potatoes: the dish cost €20.
Angus burger with various sweet sauces, an unbalanced dish, without salt or spicy food, which was mentioned on the menu.
Let's say they have some ideas, but the execution is truly home-made.
The prices are too high.
It's a place I'd like to go to, but I can't.
26/10/2025: On Saturday evening downtown, we dined at a small but very welcoming restaurant. The atmosphere was intimate, perfect for a romantic dinner. The dishes were excellent, with attention to detail, and the service was attentive and friendly.

15/11/2025: Nothing to say, except for drinks from €33 to €5, I'm not arguing with quality and service, even the prices are in line, maybe I repeat some small things could be more affordable, €5 for a Coke and €7 for a Nipozzano makes little sense, either raise your glass or lower the drink... For the rest, compliments for the selection of meats and the efficiency of the service.
04/11/2025: Returning from Bologna in three different first courses... fast service and excellent dishes.
Prices in line with other good restaurants.
