22/03/2025: Typical Tuscan trattoria furnished with care, even though there were a lot of people the service is fast and the waits are right. There is a standard menu composed of Tuscan specialties and in addition there are the specials of the day to choose from. I had a good time!

10/03/2025: Not been here for around two years, but staying in Lucca and decided on a day trip to Florence, so several choices for lunch, but this is the most relaxed. Nothing (thankfully) has changed, good friendly service, well priced and good traditional menu and wine list, just a great stop for lunch or supper. The atmosphere is traditional with an open view of the kitchen, each dish is individually prepared and cooked to perfection. A privilege to have the opportunity to visit. And a wine window opposite, after 20 odd years of coming it was a surprise discovery.

19/03/2025: Typical Maremma trattoria for 3 generations. Located a few kilometers from Capalbio, towards the hinterland, it presents itself as a very simple and rustic structure which at first glance may seem anonymous, but once you cross the threshold you lose this sensation. Friendly, smiling welcome. The real discovery, however, is the menu, made from typical Maremma cuisine, made of fresh products from the neighboring area. Typical appetizers, first courses made with homemade pasta and seasoned with tasty and delicious sauces. The strength of the place is the wood embers which, used with wisdom and with the use of meats from both national and foreign sources, are presented at the table with soapstone to finish cooking as one wishes. (Respectable maturation and marbling). Finally, the desserts, also home made, conclude the evening pleasantly. Honest account that reflects the use of quality raw materials.

23/03/2025: Two good ribollitas. Tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, bitter and watered down mushrooms, boiled pasta and not sautéed with mushrooms, unpresentable. Tiramisu frozen and then reheated arrived piping hot. Bad coffee. Slow and inattentive service. High bill and no receipt. Was it an unlucky day? I'll never find out. Too bad

15/03/2025: Although we had not reserved a table for dinner and the service was full, the restaurateurs were able to find a solution for us. We received a pleasant and warm welcome and the food was delicious.

28/03/2025: Cozy atmosphere of a classic trattoria with red and white checked tablecloth. Varied menu full of interesting proposals. Generous portions, tasty and well presented dishes. Friendly, efficient and attentive staff. Fast service. We particularly liked: pappardelle with mushrooms, pici with Chianina ragù and duck sauce, stewed cheek and veal loin. Excellent value for money.

02/03/2025: When booking we advised that we had a baby girl born a few months ago. They reserved a room for our table (10 people) with an air conditioner on for the child's comfort. Excellent service, food and environment.

06/04/2025: Il locale è molto particolare e ben tenuto, il proprietario è il personale molto gentili disponibili e simpatici. Si mangia veramente bene. Atmosfera divertente e amichevole. Super consigliato

31/03/2025: We stayed at Ubaldo and had a great time. Very particular environment. Francesco and Ines are two fantastic guys and Ubaldo, despite having a lot to do, manages to find time to have a word with everyone. Very nice!!!! The food was excellent and the quality-price ratio was also excellent. Typical dishes from Lucca, good wine, excellently cooked meat, equally good desserts and bitter liquorice and chilli pepper, a real surprise.

12/03/2025: Characteristic place, former grocery butcher shop from times gone by. Very good food with Tuscan specialities. Menu on a blackboard with delicious dishes from first courses to side dishes and homemade desserts. Frequented by international students, tourists and locals... to the wise...

01/04/2025: Kindness and courtesy!!! I ate well, refined dishes that never disappoint!!! The open kitchen was something we appreciated! We had dinner on the lower floor, very intimate and special! Excellent service and good food!

30/03/2025: Food below expectations. We found everything a bit "bland", without "personality"... perhaps we chose badly. The pici themselves are good, but the garlic sauce (pure garlic cream and not with tomato as is usually found) has a really strong flavour. Even the pigeon sauce tasteless. Unfortunately we weren't crazy about the chicken either. The potatoes are good though. Friendly waitresses and good service. The environment is beautiful

12/03/2025: The best dinner in the area! I highly recommend the wild boar pasta, any you have to finish with the molten chocolate cake.

12/04/2025: All 4 of us shared a massive 6kg Florentina steak, and it was perfection! Our waitress was an absolute rock star and took care of us. This is the best restaurant in Pienza.

12/04/2025: We had a very good dinner the first evening in Pienza, tagliatelle and chitarrine then guinea fowl with potatoes, very good house wine too (I don't drink so my husband can't take a bottle alone). Pleasant environment full of local customers who also ordered fish. we would have happily returned the following evening but unfortunately Thursday is the closing day. Highly recommended

Camerieri cordiali, piatti portati e presentati dallo chef al tavolo, cibo di ottima qualità, vasta scelta di vini. Prezzo veramente onesto!! Consiglio veramente a tutti e se torno a Siena, sarà la mia osteria. Braviii

08/04/2025: Delicious food, absolutely unique gnocci with ricotta and pistachios. Homemade tiramisu at the end. Very affordable prices for such a tourist city.
