18/07/2025: Had two glasses of wine recommended by the wait staff and cheese. It was all excellent.

16/07/2025: Came here at the recommendation of the hotel we were staying at during summer vacation in Florence. It was a hot day and we did not have a huge appetizer - decided to try the Florentine steak, rabbit Ragu pasta and spinach side. The steak was pretty rare even though we had asked for medium rare and the spinach was tasteless. The pasta was pretty good. Place was quite empty and we had a room in the back which was stuffy. OK experience, not great. Prices were very reasonable.

13/08/2025: It was a great choice. The service was excellent throughout the evening, and the place was cozy with details that invite you to sit and have a good time. The menu focuses on Florentine specialties, although it includes some Italian classics, like carbonara. Spectacular! It's a place I've already recommended and would return to without hesitation.

13/08/2025: Great traditional Trattoria. Generous servings. Had the cacio e pepe was delicious and fresh.

20/07/2025: They didn't give me the non-alcoholic sorbet, it was very hot, and they ignored us.

16/07/2025: Here you could taste a lot of wine: six different types, three reds, and three whites. Here you were also served a lot of good food, as well as water. A very beautiful vineyard surrounded by beautiful nature.

11/08/2025: A must-see every year. Excellent quality, and good wine, a given. Unfortunately, the price increase has hit here too compared to last year, but it's a problem that has affected the entire Maremma region. See you next year!

22/07/2025: My partner and I had lunch during our stay in Siena. The food was reasonably priced and the service was very professional and attentive. We will definitely return on our next visit.

05/08/2025: We ate at this restaurant and didn't stay at the B&B. Lovely location with plenty of parking. Beautiful view. Attentive, courteous, but not intrusive service. Everything was excellent. Special mention for the panna cotta: phenomenal. Francesco, the owner and chef, gives excellent advice; trust him. We'll definitely return as soon as we're in the area again.

04/08/2025: ¡Qué puedo decir! Mi familia (esposa y yo con 2 hijos) comimos en este lugar increíble anoche 3 de agosto. IT de principio a fin fue una experiencia increíble, desde el viaje por la estrecha carretera hasta el restaurante, hasta llegar y ser recibidos como viejos amigos. Tuvimos la suerte de estar sentados con la vista más increíble del valle mientras cenábamos. La comida sabía increíble y tuvimos la suerte de ser hablados a través de todo en la mesa por el increíble propietario, que recomendó todo, incluyendo platos adecuados y deliciosos para nuestras hijas. Cada plato fue cocinado con cuidado, desde el arenque encurtido, bruschetta y salchichas divinas, hasta la pasta de trufa y el estofado de carne que iba a morir por! Todo bañado con una maravillosa botella de vino. He visto algunas críticas que decían IT era caro para los tamaños de las porciones, pero pensé IT era súper razonable para la calidad de la comida. ¡Increíble gracia!

12/08/2025: Ci siamo capitati quasi per caso, cercando un posto dove mangiare una fiorentina nel Chianti, a pranzo in un giorno infrasettimanale, dopo aver trovato diverse serrande abbassate. E abbiamo scoperto solo dopo una volta entrati che era un posto un po' speciale. Da Padellina si mangia una cucina toscana semplice e ben fatta, con salumi locali e un'ottima bistecca alla fiorentina cucinata come si deve e ai prezzi giusti, certo. Ma è anche il contesto ad aggiungere qualcosa. L'ambiente è caldo, strapieno di oggetti, foto e biglietti da visita con i ringraziamenti all'oste, che è un personaggio. Il simpatico titolare, detto 'padellina', è un cultore di Dante che ama, sembra, recitare a memoria ai clienti (su youtube ci sono dei video, ho poi scoperto).

08/08/2025: Trattoria da Nonna Clara is absolutely amazing—a true hidden gem that captures the heart of Italian home cooking. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, just like stepping into a family kitchen, and the food is nothing short of spectacular. Their lasagna is, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had outside of my own Nonna’s—layers of tender pasta, rich meat sauce, and perfectly melted cheese, all made with the kind of love and care you can taste in every bite.

04/08/2025: It's been almost 15 years since you were last here... So it's interesting to see if it's still as good as it used to be. The decor is almost as pared down and rustic as before. Only now it's even more simple. It's a shame, it lacks charm. The waiters are friendly, but their manners are very reserved... One must not forget that there are a lot of tourists here, and the mood isn't always great. But the food was, just like back then, good, simple Tuscan cuisine. The prices are reasonable. Considering that this area is teeming with tourists, it was relaxed and pleasant.

26/07/2025: The WORST Dining Experiences in Florence! My friend (a young Asian woman with long, straight black hair) found a short, curled, dark brown hair in her black truffle cream pasta—definitely not hers. She pointed it out right away. The waiter brushed it off and said, “That’s just truffle.” Her friend even picked the hair out with a fork and placed it on the plate edge to show him clearly. Then the chef (or maybe the owner) came over. Instead of taking it seriously, he tried to wipe the hair away with his finger like he was trying to cover it up!! After he wiped off the hair, he looked her in the eye and questioned her, “Where? There’s no hair.” We were all SHOCKED. Nobody said a word. It was only after seeing our silence that he came back and said, unwillingly, “I’ll get you another one.” Still no apology, no explanation, nothing. We all supported our friend, who stayed calm through it all though she couldn’t speak any Italian. She even had a photo of the dish before eating—the hair is clearly visible. The way he treated her—like she didn’t matter—felt incredibly disrespectful. Would the response have been the same if she were older? Or even not Asian? It really made us question their attitude toward younger travelers and people of color. This wasn’t just about finding a hair. It was about how badly the situation was handled. No basic respect, no responsibility. Just denial and blame. If this happened to your friend, how would you want it handled? Think twice before eating here.

24/07/2025: We had a truly wonderful time! The waiter, Dervi, was perfect: extremely kind, attentive, and always smiling. The service was impeccable. We ate divinely, but the real star of the evening was the steak: simply spectacular! Tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.

24/07/2025: We ate here on July 24, 2025 and it was the worst food experience we’ve had in Italy (including Venice, Padua, and Florence). We ordered 4 dishes. 2 came out very late, about 30 minutes after the first 2 were already finished. We had to remind the staff twice to bring them out. The food was overly salty and not good. The fillets were the only decent part. Service was poor too. They were clearly understaffed and overwhelmed. Wouldn’t recommend.

22/07/2025: Great cosy place. Welcoming staff members, specially the Bangladesh waiter, he even guided us where to go in Venice. Tasty food. Must visit!

21/07/2025: Absolutely delicious food. The meat was perfectly prepared. A cozy garden where you can enjoy the excellent service and the food.

31/07/2025: Ci siamo fermati per tappa pranzo nel lungo viaggio Nord-Sud. Proprio all'uscita autostradale. Un'ottima alternativa all'autogrill. Spendi un po' di più, ma guadagni in qualità, atmosfera e servizio: chianina e altre carni alla brace buonissime, contorni di verdura della tradizione locale e cantucci fatti dal pasticcere sotto i vostri occhi. Il servizio è efficiente e molto amichevole.

30/07/2025: Un ristorante che sembra per viandanti di passaggio ma in realtà nasconde una vena commerciale importante. Tanta fila che si esaurisce in 20 minuti o meno . Carne molto buona (preso la chianina), ma il consiglio è : non vi fate suggestionare troppo dai camerieri (sempre comunque gentili e cordiali) e scegliete voi. Conto: la carne buona di paga!

16/07/2025: After a few years, I returned to Forcillo! What can I say? I ate very well, the prices were reasonable, and the welcome was superb! Well done, Pietro! He explained the ingredients of tiramisu to these English gentlemen in perfect English! Pietro is an asset! Well done to the owner, who seized the opportunity to understand how important it is to have him on his team!

12/07/2025: The warm welcome is essential when entering a restaurant. The location is excellent; it's easily accessible from the highway in about 10 minutes, with parking available across the street. The restaurant is very rustic, with a distinct Tuscan feel, making it very distinctive. The dishes are generous, the Pici pasta and the desserts served with chocolate cream and gelato are very good. The Ossobuco alla Senese and Forcillo 2 were amazing. A must try if you're in the area. Highly recommended 👍👍
