The pasta was outstanding and the fish impeccably fresh, all at prices that felt remarkably fair for the quality on offer. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic, the service friendly and efficient, and the whole experience felt like discovering a restaurant that locals would rather keep to themselves. If you’re looking for genuine Sicilian cooking rather than a tourist trap, Osteria Mercede is an excellent choice. ★★★★★

19/05/2026: The ambiance is okay, the restrooms aren't up to Central European standards, but they're clean. The food was absolutely fantastic. The prices were fair. Overall, highly recommended for a good lunch, especially if you arrive by ship. It's a short walk from the port and not overrun with tourists. Authentic and delicious cuisine.

11/07/2026: All smoke and mirrors: a completely unsalted appetizer, flaky fries, a tasteless pizza, and a menu written as if they were high-quality ingredients, but the reality is that the pizza has no flavor whatsoever. We tried four different pizzas, and none of them met our expectations, especially the "Sicilian Lumie," made with mortadella (a little), stracciatella, and then, as the icing on the cake, the "dried lemon," aka cosmic nothingness, basically the garnish you put on your drinks. To finish off the dessert: an overly sweet hazelnut log accompanied by a high-quality coffee, aka dirty water.
10/07/2026: One of the best pizzas in Palermo, with a light dough and quality ingredients. All in a stunning location, with friendly and professional staff. Reservations recommended.

14/03/2026: I had the pleasure of dining at Trattoria Piccolo Napoli, and the experience was simply excellent in every way. The kitchen is the true heart of the restaurant. The chef demonstrates remarkable culinary skill, showcasing each ingredient with great balance and sensitivity. The dishes arrive with meticulous attention to detail, prepared with technique and passion: authentic flavors, perfectly cooked, and a presentation that respects tradition without sacrificing elegance. His experience and love for cooking are clearly evident, with recipes executed impeccably and with particular attention to the quality of the ingredients. Making the experience even more enjoyable is the dining room service, led by the restaurant manager, who is also the restaurant's owner and the chef's brother. He is extremely diligent, discreet, and professional, always present but never intrusive. His attention to the customer is evident in every gesture: from the care with which he accompanies guests throughout dinner to his willingness to recommend dishes and ensure every detail is perfect. This family-friendly synergy between the kitchen and dining room creates an authentic and welcoming atmosphere, where guests truly feel at the center of attention. The passion, professionalism, and dedication that permeate Trattoria Piccolo Napoli transform a simple dinner into a memorable gastronomic experience. 02/07/2026: Nothing to complain about the quality, but it took 40 minutes to order and an hour and a half to eat a starter (even a bad one). Tables that arrived later had already finished their food. It's a shame, but I won't be returning.
01/07/2026: I couldn't fault the quality of the fish, which was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared, or the charming setting overlooking the Terrasini marina. However, there were many flaws in the preparation of the dishes and the service. My wife and I, on the waiter's recommendation, ordered spaghetti with lobster (a lobster weighing approximately 600g, halved to make two dishes). In my opinion, the spaghetti wasn't enough for a portion, while the sauce (lobster meat) was, by eye, mostly on one plate and not evenly distributed between both. We decided to initially order two glasses of wine and not order water. As the evening progressed, I ordered another glass; shortly after being served, I noticed an insect inside. No complaints about that; it was early summer and we were outside—it can happen! I pointed out the problem to the waiter, who immediately changed the glass and poured me more wine. Evening over, I paid the bill and left. When I got home, I thought back to the wine we'd both enjoyed so much, so I pulled out the receipt to check if the specified winery was available. To my surprise, I noticed that the bill also included the glass I didn't drink because of the insect, as well as a bottle of water I never ordered and never delivered. We would have gladly returned to try the other dishes on the menu, but given the service and the price (proportionate to the quality of the ingredients, but disproportionate considering the attention paid to the customer), I think we'll skip it. In all of this, I'm sorry for not having checked the receipt immediately.

A delightful surprise awaited us with three refined amuse-bouches, a choice of starters including fresh chanterelles, perfectly cooked pasta, and fish accompanied by peas – a simple yet exquisite dish. A place where they truly go the extra mile. Thank you again for this lovely evening.
20/05/2026: Absolutely delicious! We stopped by chance and I'm still blown away. It's so good and the waiter is so kind. We've only just had an appetizer and I already want the world to discover this restaurant. Bravo! I highly recommend it.

04/07/2026: We spent a wonderful family evening at "La Corte dei Mangioni" and were truly thrilled. The atmosphere is rustic, welcoming, and very comfortable. We ordered pizzas, burgers, and meat: everything was excellent, carefully prepared, and truly delicious. The value for money is excellent and is one of the restaurant's strong points. Special praise also goes to the waiters, always friendly, smiling, and extremely fast. Despite the restaurant being busy, the food arrived very quickly. A truly positive experience in every way. We will definitely return and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and impeccable service.

15/06/2026: We had pre ordered the tasting menu. The food was great, fresh, innovative and just delicious. The wine pairing was just lovely, surprising in a few places but always went perfectly with the food. The staff were friendly and swift. Leaving this review because some of the comments we’d read surprised us compared to the experience we’d had. There is a reason this place has a mention in the Michelin Guide and if you are a foodie, you will not be disappointed.
07/06/2026: This isn't a restaurant that "updates" Sicilian tradition, but rather dismantles and then reassembles it. One of the dishes I love, and which best defines it, is the anelletto with octopus ragù. At first glance, it might seem like a pop homage to Palermo cuisine, but the octopus isn't treated simply as a marine element, but rather as a profound, almost meaty component, braised until it loses all its toughness and acquires a consistency that speaks to the pasta without overpowering it. Wild fennel is a green, bitter line that runs through the dish like a vegetal signature. Saffron and Nero d'Avola aren't aromatic folklore, but tools that add tension and color to the base. Here, the sea is within the pasta, and the land doesn't remain in the background. The cuisine of this osteria takes identifying ingredients and makes them accessible to a wide audience without emptying them of meaning. Andrea Rizzo eliminates the superfluous to reveal a clearer, less narrated, and more essential Sicily.

The staff is very kind, attentive, discreet, and competent. I can only give it 5 stars... definitely worth a try and definitely coming back.
