10/04/2026: Delicious Sicilian cuisine! Excellent service, very welcoming place with traditional food and generous portions. A whole different level of Italian cuisine than we're used to. Highly recommended!

01/04/2026: NOT RECOMMENDED. An hour's wait, in the cold, for a table booked two days in advance. We've changed pizzerias and won't be returning. Reserved Saturday, for three people, at 9:30 PM (second sitting?). We arrived, following the restaurant's advice, at 9:15 PM. They told us to wait because they were "setting up the tables." They asked us to wait outside, in the cold. 9:30 PM, nothing, but okay, that's fine. 9:50 PM, still nothing. They told us the table was "freezing up." We were in the cold but chatting: we could still wait. 10:10 PM, still outside in the cold and with no news. We decided to leave. 10:20 PM, the restaurant called us to let us know the table was ready. Only an hour late, despite the reservation. We were happy to leave our money at the nearby pizzeria. Also because, honestly, waiting an hour in the cold for a pizza like any other isn't worth it. A little more attention, perhaps a complimentary appetizer, would have been enough, and we would have happily waited. Spaurito, however, chose to ignore us completely, failing in his primary role: providing customer service.

04/08/2026: We chose the albacore tuna specials of the day and were truly satisfied. The seafood salad was excellent, the tuna caponata delicious, the pasta with clams delicious, and the paccheri with eggplant and albacore tuna delicious. To finish, an excellent dessert of a chocolate and almond ring cake with Modica chocolate fondue. The cuisine perfectly combines tradition and flavor, showcasing quality ingredients, while the service was friendly and attentive. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to savor authentic Sicilian cuisine in a relaxed and slightly jazzy atmosphere. 🎷

20/07/2026: Excellent food, well prepared and presented. Unfortunately, one of the waiters had the guts to crack a joke he thought was funny when an American tourist at the next table said his name was Michele, and he started making a series of comments like, "Michele... like The Godfather... Don Corleone... well done." It might seem innocent, but it fuels stereotypes that some of us Sicilians try to shake off, and it's unacceptable to hear that. When the tourist mentioned that he made films for a living, the second joke came out, "Oh, well done, you have to do The Godfather again, etc." Incidentally, seeing that sloppy Spritz that's served everywhere these days is also a shame.

13/08/2026: We went there on the recommendation of our Booking.com host. A very nice restaurant with plenty of fans and air conditioning, even outside. Some of the food was homegrown, as far as we understood. The service was very attentive. I had a starter and dessert, which together cost about €20. Reservations recommended.

12/08/2026: A fantastic experience. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, and you can sense the care put into preparing each dish, from the creamy risotto to the calamari. The service is attentive and meticulous, even down to the presentation of the condiments, which are served on a wooden tray with special spoons. I highly recommend stopping by this Palermo restaurant for anyone seeking quality and sophistication.

12/08/2026: Very friendly service in French and a very good meal! The air conditioning was a welcome feature. The restaurant was full of French people because it's recommended by the Routard guide :-)

31/07/2026: A traditional Sicilian restaurant offering a fantastic blend of seafood and meat. Often, when dining in Palermo, you'll find a lot of seafood, but Casa del Brodo also boasts a strong focus on meat dishes. The caponata is highly recommended, as is the pork shank or spaghetti with sea urchins. The only flaw was the pistachio pasta with shrimp, which was very heavy, with the shrimp flavor getting lost in the heavy sauce. The service is impeccable, with friendly and helpful waiters.

22/08/2026: Wonderful caponata, incredibly tender cod, exceptional baby octopus, and an excellent scampi-based first course. Discovered by chance, the owners are truly kind.

A warm welcome from the knowledgeable, discreet, and attentive wait staff. The open kitchen offers a spotlight to the team, masterfully directed by a skilled, professional, and meticulous chef, Filippo Ventimiglia, who knows how to apply his expertise with skill and generosity. A seductive menu stimulates the tastes of Sicilian tradition, with a semi-gourmet twist. Each dish is a sensory discovery, carefully crafted and curated in an impeccable, clean, and impeccable table setting. The warm, crumbly breads are excellent, the result of meticulous research into the evolution of native flours. The wine list is comprehensive, featuring regional, national, and international wineries, with a good selection of sparkling wines, impeccably presented by sommelier/manager Gabriele Amato. Excellent value, in line with the industry's competitive price range.

17/08/2026: Decent food but over complicated menu and plate setting. Very touristy spot. We prefer more local ones but that’s our taste. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

20/08/2026: What a delightful restaurant! The atmosphere was very well soundproofed, and we spent a pleasant evening chatting. Divine food (the arancina moved me), the freshest fish, and for dessert, a truly amazing cannoli. Wide selection of wines. Federica, the sommelier, was very knowledgeable in recommending the perfect pairing. We were served by a very friendly waitress. The owner was courteous and friendly. Recommended!

09/08/2026: We came here for dinner pretty much on a whim. I noticed this restaurant on the way to our hotel, so we decided to stop by one evening. The quality and taste of the food were incredible. The staff was friendly, and even though English isn't their strong suit, we managed to communicate without any issues. We’ll definitely be back!

19/07/2026: If I had to describe "Il Ghiottone Raffinato" and "Casale Amato" in three words, I'd say: Taste, Care, Magic. From the first bite to the tasting menu, they made us feel pampered, not just customers. "Casale Amato" did the rest: a dream location, meticulously curated down to the last detail, which made our day even more special. On the wedding day, everything went perfectly: "Il Ghiottone Raffinato" dishes were served at the perfect time, hot, beautiful to look at, and even better to eat. Our guests continued to compliment us until late... between the food and the atmosphere at Casale Amato, it was a 10/10. And to be honest, we still talk about it. Beyond the food, the "Il Ghiottone Raffinato" team was pure gold: discreet, professional, and always smiling. Rosi, the manager of "Casale Amato," made us feel at home from the very first visit. They lifted a huge weight off our shoulders and allowed us to enjoy our day 100%. Thank you so much to both of you for making our "I do" unforgettable. If you're getting married, close your eyes and choose them. We would make this choice 1,000 times over.
