25/04/2026: the food is fantastic and very unique fusion all with local ingredients, the service was great and Valentina made us have a great experience, the only downside if any would be the music it was super relaxing which didn't match the great and vivid experience.

The wait staff was incredibly welcoming, kind, and attentive: we felt pampered from start to finish. Long long wait I ordered the sea bass fillet It arrived COLD cold plate, cold fish, cold vegetables It looked like it had been cooked 40 minutes before and left to sit, it was terrible So so disappointing Something is wrong here. Not many people were there, what was the issue. ? Serving cooked fish up cold on a cold plate was not a pleasant meal - I could not eat the cooked but stone cold vegetables Unless they pick up their act I cannot recommend this restaurant

07/05/2026: Really enjoyable and memorable meal. We had the pastas - the dishes are all local Sicilian and very well made. The flavours are simple and feel home cooked, but delicious. They make a few items and make them well! The ingredients are all very high quality and fresh. Also, the dessert, traditional Sicilian cassata was very well prepared! Finally, the owner looks like Robert De Niro!

04/05/2026: We went to Sapori del Mare for dinner and overall had a nice experience. The service was good, really warm and welcoming, it had that homey feel which made a difference. They were also very kind in helping celebrate my birthday, which we appreciated. Food-wise, it was good but not amazing. I had the octopus with olive oil and lemon, it was a cool dish and good quality, just not my personal preference as I usually prefer octopus served hot. My partner had the seafood risotto, which was solid but nothing exceptional. I had the fish ravioli, which was quite nice. The filling was good, though the sauce could’ve had a bit more flavour. The green salad was probably the weakest part, very basic and slightly sour, just leaves and tomatoes. The fried calamari and prawns were decent, calamari was nice, prawns were okay, though some of the prawns (including in the ravioli) felt like it might have been previously frozen and slightly overcooked. Overall, a good meal with lovely service. It is on the pricier side (we paid €100), but the experience was enjoyable. I’d probably come back again.

18/03/2026: Trust the advice of the Corona brothers and their father, and you'll have a magnificent journey through the finest Sicilian specialties. Top-quality products, superb dishes, and excellent prices. The off-menu offerings are mouth-watering; we wish we could have tried everything, so as not to miss anything. The atmosphere is familiar yet elegant: not the kind of elegance that's too tight, but the kind that makes everything even more harmonious! Absolutely the best place in Palermo!

26/04/2026: A renowned restaurant located on a well-known street in Palermo, overlooking the city's port. A captivating location, minimalist-chic decor, and alternating melange colors stimulate the senses in a truly relaxing atmosphere. A warm welcome from the knowledgeable, discreet, and attentive wait staff. The open kitchen offers a spotlight to the team, masterfully directed by a skilled, professional, and meticulous chef, Filippo Ventimiglia, who knows how to apply his expertise with skill and generosity. A seductive menu stimulates the tastes of Sicilian tradition, with a semi-gourmet twist. Each dish is a sensory discovery, carefully crafted and curated in an impeccable, clean, and impeccable table setting. The warm, crumbly breads are excellent, the result of meticulous research into the evolution of native flours. The wine list is comprehensive, featuring regional, national, and international wineries, with a good selection of sparkling wines, impeccably presented by sommelier/manager Gabriele Amato. Excellent value, in line with the industry's competitive price range.

19/03/2026: Although we were the only guests (Wednesday in March), we felt very comfortable and received excellent service and delicious meals. The food was fantastic and the local wine selection superb. We will be back.

He accompanied us on this evening, where we traveled from our seats, all while enjoying a Sicilian sparkling wine recommended by Giacomo. After dinner, it was a pleasure to chat with the chef too! 21/03/2026: I visited L'Ottava Nota restaurant in Palermo with fairly high expectations. The setting is elegant and the atmosphere pleasant, perfect for a quiet evening. The dishes are beautifully presented, and the quality of the ingredients is evident, although some flavors didn't particularly impress me. Specifically, the beans in the fish and blue crab main course were decidedly tough (unthinkable for a Michelin-starred restaurant). Service was friendly but a bit slow at times. Overall, a good experience, but not quite up to expectations. With a little more attention, it could be truly excellent.

04/05/2026: We came to Ke Palle for dinner. We ordered three different arancine – Ragù, Butter, and Cacio e pepe. The rice balls were amazing! The place is small but cozy. They offer a wide selection of balls. You can also try the sweet version – with Nutella or pistachio :)

10/05/2026: It was truly a sublime experience: there were two of us, we started with two Spritzes as an aperitif and then continued with two fried pasta frittatas with truffles and an octopus salad: frittatas with balanced flavors, which is unusual with the presence of truffles, and the octopus salad was truly delicious, fresh, and impeccably dressed. We continued with two pasta dishes: a classic one with sardines with the addition of saffron cream (a much-appreciated novelty) and a paccheri dish with clams, mussels, and cherry tomatoes on a squid ink base (I mopped up the sauce, right? 😂 🤣 😂), which I give a 9. Finally, the service is also positive: present, but not pushy, as is the case in many places in the historic center, in the person of the maître d' Filippo and the assistant Ivana (she prepares and mixes excellent Spritzes... 😜).

11/04/2026: "Dry" dish The pasta seems poorly bound: Not enough cooking juices Not enough oil/emulsion → result: flat taste 2. Under-appreciated fish For a dish that promises "many types of fish": There were 2 shrimp a few pieces of shellfish, but nothing abundant or prominent → it seems more like a "scattered condiment" than a true seafood dish 3. Topping that covers rather than enhances Those crumbs on top (dried fruit) are typical Sicilian, however: there are a lot of them and they cover the flavor of the fish → if the sauce underneath is weak, it worsens the sensation 4. Incomplete creaming The pasta should be shiny and creamy (even without cream!), but here it appears a bit "separated" 👉 Simply translated: it's not a successful dish
