15/08/2026: We were recommended by the concierge at our hotel to go to dinner at Proverbio and I must say it was excellent advice. We dined there three consecutive evenings. The staff was excellent and the pasta carbonara was a real delight. If we return to Palermo, we will definitely return.

29/04/2026: We went for lunch on a Sunday. The dining room wasn't very large, but it was cozy and had a large fireplace in an old, well-maintained farmhouse. The appetizers and main course were good. It's a shame about the first courses, which were good, but the pasta in both was overcooked. The fixed price was acceptable.

05/04/2026: The atmosphere and the place are nice, typical of a trattoria. It's a shame about the food. We ordered three dishes, but only one was good (busiate pasta with eggplant sauce), while the other two were inedible. The orange-flavored fish scallop seemed overcooked and tasteless, and the pasta with fennel and sardines was equally so. It seemed very touristy and not very good for people who want to eat well!

09/08/2026: This is a place for a wonderful evening, in that respect... but more on that later... The restaurant is in a fantastic location – just 50 meters from the Vucciria Market. The restaurant has a wonderful, authentic ambiance. The outdoor seating is slightly sunken and sheltered. Inside, it's very cozy, well-air-conditioned, and the decor isn't just decoration, but rather reflects lived experience and artistry. The service at the tables was very friendly, attentive, and quick. The food arrived incredibly fast, was exceptionally delicious, and was far too inexpensive for the quality. This could have been one of our best evenings in Palermo... Unfortunately, it turned out to be the evening we'll remember most unpleasantly in Palermo. We were seated between the bar and the entrance to the kitchen. From there, we could observe a lot of activity... especially the farewells of guests as they paid. The restaurant appears to be run by two men who kept taking turns handling the bill. With one owner, the farewell was remarkably consistent: regardless of whether they were tourists or guests they seemed to know well, everyone was seen off in a very friendly, lively, and eloquent manner, with great appreciation. With the second owner, however, we observed an extremely inconsistent approach during the hour and a half we spent there: some guests received a very effusive and extroverted send-off, while others were completely ignored. Instead, the owner pointedly looked at his smartphone, clearly signaling nonverbally that some guests weren't worthy of his appreciation or even his attention. While we only saw satisfied and happy guests leaving the first owner, the facial expressions of departing guests at the other owner's establishment fluctuated noticeably between contentment/happy and irritated/annoyed. This demonstrated that both locals and tourists could be affected by the condescending approach. Unfortunately, we ended up being among those who were paid and seen off in a decidedly unappreciative manner. In our over thirty years of experience as adult restaurant patrons, we have never felt treated with such arrogant condescension as during this payment process. A complete and utter disgrace to human nature, who, within two minutes, utterly ruined what would have been a wonderful day and a lovely evening. The restaurant's motto, as stated on the menu, is: "Sorry, this restaurant is run by crazy people!" Being crazy and antisocial behavior are not synonymous... This is a place for a wonderful evening, provided the owner likes your face... Incidentally, during our hour and a half visit, we witnessed two people—a fact frequently mentioned in reviews—disputing the total of their bill, and both times they were right. Both groups were then asked by the unpleasant owner, in a condescending manner, where they were from...

08/08/2026: Cheap experience. Price was good, bread was bad, service was constraintful. It’s an “okay ciao” restaurant.

25/08/2026: A must-try when I come to Cefalù, I think it's one of the best gluten-free pizzas I've ever had. The dough is real, not pre-cooked, which unfortunately is never a given. The seaside location is beautiful, dreamlike. The staff is super friendly. But above all, it's a paradise for celiacs.

25/08/2026: We were looking for a small restaurant where we could dine while enjoying the spectacular sunset over the sea and we stumbled upon Via Roma Vecchia...we couldn't have asked for anything better! The view from the terrace is wonderful, the staff is welcoming, helpful, and attentive. We relied on them for advice and spent a perfect evening enjoying good food and wine in good company.

18/08/2026: A bit pricey, but you're paying for the beautiful setting. However, the service was deplorable; we waited 20 minutes for the dessert menu, which never arrived. The food was nicely presented but a little bland. Nothing extraordinary.

17/08/2026: Truly excellent food! Fresh, tasty, and meticulously crafted dishes, using top-quality ingredients. You can sense the passion and care put into every preparation. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. One of my favorite restaurants, a real guarantee every time!! ❤️
