21/08/2024: A sightseeing tour in one of the most beautiful cities in the world where in the historic center I spotted this place with covid19 regulations Hazzard analysis critical control point (analysis of critical points), very high quality, courtesy, price €12, water A2/3 €, drinks at €2.50, cover charge at €1.50 a dinner consisting of Trapanese pasta, grilled rib eye, mixed salad, bread, focaccia on a range of different courses with a choice of both first and second courses, 5-star superior management staff.! !

15/08/2024: Very quiet and clean family environment. the staff served us impeccably, very professionally. the food was excellent and plentiful at the right price.

18/08/2024: Inammissibile una trattoria che fa prezzi da ristorante un primo al pomodoro 11,00 euro una lattina di coca 3 euro insomma in tre con una portata l,uno abbiamo pagato 45,00 euro 2 primi al pomodoro e uno spiedino di carne una lattina e un'acqua. Carissimo ah dimenticavo un caldo pauroso perche il condizionatore lo teneva spento.Da cancellare.

01/09/2024: Very good experience, we were served by Angelina who took great care. We ate very well, nothing to complain about, it’s a very pleasant little neighborhood restaurant that I highly recommend!

30/08/2024: Best restaurant in Palermo, the food was very delicius, the fish was really fresh, the stuff are really kind and perfect!

26/07/2024: The dishes off the menu are very interesting, the staff is competent, attentive and very helpful! It was recommended to us and we had a great time. They offered us an entrée and a final dessert (not the actual dessert) which was much appreciated! 6 different types of bread, including hot ones, breadsticks, very good quality extra virgin olive oil. Very very attentive to the customer and with the plating and choice of ceramics they outdid themselves!!

12/07/2024: Place found by chance thanks to The Fork. Very good croutons and breadsticks as soon as they arrived on the table. For the first course the spaghetti with seafood was very, very good as was the spaghetti with clams. If you are in the area definitely worth a try.

04/09/2024: We came here for the taster menu which we were looking forward to having seen the recommendation on the Michelin website. The food was delicious however we did feel that it was tuna after tuna after tuna - 4 of the 5 dishes were tuna. The restuarant was incredibly hot - unbearable really which dampened the experience. Others were using napkins to fan themselves. When I told the waitress she said ‘It’s the weather in Sicily’ although it was cooler outside when we left…! There were also a lot of lights! Spotlights, main lights and lights on the table. Less lighting would have created a bit more of an atmosphere.

04/09/2024: We arrived at this place with a "Boscolo" gift box. We were welcomed very well. Very good food and attentive and helpful staff.

27/07/2024: Ho avuto il piacere di cenare al Ristorante Gigi Mangia, situato nel cuore di Palermo, in occasione del quarantesimo compleanno del mio migliore amico, e sono rimasto estremamente soddisfatto. Il pesce era freschissimo e preparato con grande maestria. Ogni piatto era un’esplosione di sapori. Un piatto che ci ha particolarmente colpito è stata l’arancina con frutti di mare e gambero rosso, semplicemente buonissima. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, con personale attento e cordiale. Consiglio vivamente questo ristorante a chiunque ami il pesce e desideri passare una bella serata.

10/08/2024: Yesterday I went to this restaurant with my friends. We had high expectations which, unfortunately, were not met at all. The pasta with aubergines and swordfish was overcooked and particularly tasteless, the pasta with aubergines (the one in the pan) was also not very tasty... up to this point it could have been okay but then came the lemon sorbet flavored with swordfish (I'm talking about swordfish scallops), which among other things was probably frozen. This was the straw that broke the camel's back... eating that swordfish destroyed our taste buds, I think only a person on fentanyl could have ingested it and remained unharmed. We thought we'd get fat and instead we were forced to get drunk to forget. The staff and service were efficient. I'm sorry😞

15/08/2024: Abbiamo prenotato in questo locale per la nostra ultima sera a Palermo e vivere appieno l’atmosfera tipica della città. Siamo arrivate in orario come da prenotazione e ci siamo accomodate. Sono trascorsi circa 45 minuti prima che, dopo aver sollecitato, venissero a prenderci almeno l’ordinazione (e ci portassero almeno l’acqua). A seguito delle nostre lamentele la cena è stata servita in tempi molto rapidi e tutto era ottimo; questo è indiscutibile: porzioni abbondanti e cucina autentica. Non merita 5 stelle per la disorganizzazione generale del locale: i camerieri erano pochi e chiaramente esausti, seppure attenti a soddisfare le esigenze di tutti e a sentire le lamentele generali. Tutto si è svolto sotto l’occhio vigile della signora all’ entrata nonché proprietaria, che “dirige il traffico” e riempie i tavoli senza sosta. Capiamo che i prezzi che propongono non li sì trova più da nessuna parte, ma per fare le cose male e far attendere anche chi prenota in anticipo, sarebbe meglio rivedere l’organizzazione generale. I camerieri comunque simpaticissimi.

15/08/2024: Sono venuta a conoscenza di questa osteria tramite la pubblicità che fanno suo social,che dire tutto molto buono dagli antipasti ai secondi, personale gentile e a disposizione del cliente per qualunque cosa chiedi sui piatti con tutte le spiegazioni,ottimi i prezzi e porzioni abbondanti posto che consiglio da provare assolutamente

31/08/2024: The food has been one of the weakest on our trip to Sicily. The pasta came with little sauce, and the variety of street food was bordering on bland. Nothing to highlight. The only nice thing is the place, but you don't have to eat to see it. I didn't like the lung and spleen sandwich at all... but that may depend on taste. Ah! Service €3 per person! Something excessive I think

30/08/2024: Joseph, the waiter was very offended by the fact that I did not speak fluent Italian. He therefore dismissed any type of reasonable level of service (ie. no bread plate, no oil, no pepper, no napkin). Additionally, he then proceeded to never check back as to whether or not I had any questions or needed another glass of wine. Thus, I left halfway through the meal, paying my share, and would recommend that future patrons beware. Ironically, I had dinner there three nights before and the service was quite good.

16/07/2024: Senza parole. Prezzo, qualità e servizio senza eguali. Miglior trattoria di pesce della zona. Piatti tipici della tradizione di ottima qualità e pesce freschissimo.

14/07/2024: Gli antipasti sono stati di media qualità, i primi ancora meno ma i secondi immangiabili. Il pranzo è finito senza un caffè, pecca non giustificabile. Lo consiglio solo se si ha tanta fame e se si vuole mangiare con poca qualità del cibo.

10/07/2024: This restaurant overall was good not excellent not bad but good. I wouldn’t return but I enjoyed the food. We started the meal off with the “pano e coperto”. This complementary but paid for bread which was ok. Nothing special, quite hard and difficult to eat. Oil was offered however could not save what tasted like very stale bread. Did not finish. For starter we had the caponata which was very flavourful, rich and delicious. 10/10 one of the best things we ordered that day. The aubergine, olives and everything were incredibly cooked. A bit oily but it made the dish more delicious. Highly recommend. For main we had the zucchine fritte (zucchini pasta) which was incredibly underwhelming and the Sarde (sardine tomato pasta) which was so flavourful and tomatoey. I would say the Sarde was a 7/10 but if it came with cheese it easily would have been a 10/10. We were not given cheese, as we have not visited Italy before we were unsure if cheese would have been included with the pasta. If I came back I would ONLY get the pasta with cheese. The flavour of the sardines tastes very similar to tuna. A very delicious tomato fish pasta… missing the cheese. The Zucchine Fritte was a bit bland. We had to add left over caponata to it, to add some flavour. Bland. Cheese did not also come with this pasta… I wish it did to bring some sort of flavour to the meal. The portion sizes were very good, we could not finish it all and we were able to take the rest for dinner. I very much appreciated the takeaway tubs provided! The waiters were lovely and happy to recommend specials. Very friendly and they spoke enough English where we ordered knowing what it was. The food arrived quickly but it took FOREVER to get the bill. We had to wave down a server after an hour. If we did not do this I think we would still be at the restaurant to this day. We sat outside which was lovely, great vibes and good location of the restaurant. I wouldn’t come back just because I wasn’t wowed overall by the restaurant. If you do go I recommend the caponata and the Sarde but with cheese. Do not get the zucchine fritte. Also be prepared for a long wait for the bill (fast enough for food service).

05/07/2024: The squid fritto was rubbery. The owner is an idiot who is hospitable every now and then. The little waiter took 20 euros and tried to persuade me to leave 5 euros for tea... Oily lettuce leaf for rotten squid...

27/07/2024: Piatti spettacolari della cultura siciliana, cuoco disponibile e staff competente e gentile. Piatti superbi per mangiare al meglio in questa cittadina. Costa sul mare con ristorante anche l’interno molto elegante. Sicuramente torneremo e consiglio fortemente di fermarsi e provarlo. È un’esperienza unica
