11/09/2025: Yesterday I celebrated my birthday and asked a friend to recommend a refined place where we could eat well. She suggested Ottava Nota. As soon as we arrived, we immediately knew this restaurant was exactly what we were looking for: a very elegant and refined location. Our expectations were far exceeded. The staff was impeccable: each dish was presented and explained in detail, detailing the ingredients and their characteristics. Furthermore, as soon as the glasses were empty, they were promptly refilled. A level of customer service that, honestly, we hadn't found elsewhere. The kindness was surprising, both from the staff and especially from the owner: a blonde, gracious, friendly, and always available lady—truly the best. Another aspect that struck us was the portions: we expected small dishes, as often happens in gourmet cuisine, but instead they were generous. So much so that I couldn't finish the second course. The welcome was excellent: we were offered a delicious appetizer at the beginning of the evening, and to conclude, we were served delicious desserts, also complimentary, as a final farewell. We also chose a truly exquisite tiramisu, on which they placed a candle and wrote "Happy Birthday" on the edge of the plate. We were so satisfied that we will definitely return. 09/09/2025: A lovely restaurant, visited for a couple's dinner. We ate outside on a lovely terrace with a great atmosphere. The food was excellent, with many creative dishes, all well-executed. The wine list was lovely, with a sommelier who was able to guide us to an excellent selection. The service was impeccable and very courteous. 10/10

06/10/2025: Had a wonderful evening with friends here. Lemon pasta and eggplant Parmesan were delicious. Be sure to plan ahead and get a reservation as it was full each night. A 3 man band came by and played some great traditional music for the patrons. Overall we just loved it all!

10/10/2025: Awesome place we popped in on a Wednesday early for their lunch. No reservation and were seated. Restaurant is beautiful as you’re surrounded by their extensive wine offerings and the menu is simple but delicious. We shared their tartare, cacio e pepe, and pork tenderloin. The Cacio e Pepe and tenderloin were exceptional. The wine options are extensive and we chatted with the owner and selected a delicious white for lunch and two excellent bottles to take with us. The owner is a gent and we had some great conversation with him and he was kind enough to give us a bottle of local honey which is delicious. Next time we are in Mondello we will be back as this is comfortably the best restaurant in the area.

10/10/2025: Excellent dishes, from appetizers to main courses to dessert, with impeccable quality ingredients. The wait times are moderate, but largely justified by the care taken in preparing and presenting the dishes. The staff is courteous and helpful. Thanks again.

15/09/2025: We had a lovely outdoor seating on one of the small balconies and had a lovely evening overall. During the meal, we had the impression that it was more show than substance – not a single one of the five courses on the tasting menu (€60) was truly impressive. Almost all of the dishes had dots of the same mustard cream on the plate?!? The service was polite but not warm and not always present.

11/10/2025: We had two different pasta and shrimp dishes (Oro Rosso and an almond pesto with truffle), both excellent, and then a sea bream. We were allowed to choose the fish ourselves at the counter. It tasted very fresh and excellent. The grilled vegetables are also highly recommended. A particularly positive aspect is that you can watch the chefs at work through a glass panel. Everything is very hygienic and well-maintained. The decor is modern and tasteful. We would definitely recommend the restaurant and would come back.

04/10/2025: A beautiful, modern restaurant, ideal for seafood lovers: the freshest fish, from tuna carpaccio to octopus with potatoes, all prepared with divine simplicity. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back!

24/09/2025: A trattoria in the center of Acireale, serving traditional Sicilian dishes. The staff are very welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The trattoria also offers outdoor seating, at least in the summer. It was a pleasant experience.

01/09/2025: Managed with love and passion. Excellent ingredients sourced exclusively from the Palermo and Sicilian regions. Pizzas are delicious, and I've found them in only a few places. I recommend anyone to spend an evening here. After your first experience, it will become your favorite place.
