13/11/2025: A little corner of paradise for lovers of home-cooked food! The location is welcoming and the owners are super friendly, always ready to make you feel at home. They served us dreamy mushroom pappardelle, the platter and marinated vegetables were perfect, and the bread… well, you could eat tons of it! Not to be missed.

06/11/2025: Trattoria N'Da Calata Zafferana is a great find—a local restaurant that offers good local food at excellent value near the Etna area. It's a bit hidden, but definitely worth seeking out for an authentic meal. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient, making for a pleasant dining experience. The main dishes we ordered (pasta and salad) were standard and good, but the real star of the show was the Fried Ricotta! As a ricotta lover, I was blown away by this specialty. They were perfectly prepared: crunchy and golden brown on the outside, with a wonderfully soft and rich ricotta filling inside. The portion is huge—you get six large pieces in one dish! It's ideal for sharing as an appetizer or could easily serve as a very satisfying main course. If you are dining here, you absolutely must order the fried ricotta. It’s a unique, delicious dish that elevates the entire meal and offers fantastic value.

25/10/2025: Relaxed location with super tasty local food. Lots of fresh fish options, and the couscous was delicious. The restaurant is family run, and they are kind and the food arrives well timed. Would highly recommend for large groups or families and couples. They have a cosy outside space. Grazie per la bellissima serata!! ☺️

07/11/2025: Fantastic restaurant with incredibly friendly owners. Unfortunately, I can only give 5 stars for the service. It's probably already common knowledge that Andrea's dishes are a culinary delight… and the prices are absolutely reasonable for this quality (starter: porcini carpaccio, followed by tagliolini al tartufo di Palazzolo con uovo poche, dessert: ricotta with strawberry sauce). The wine recommendation was, as always, excellent. It's well worth the trip, especially since Palazzolo Acreide is simply beautiful… Update November 2025: Nothing has changed. Simply superb!

20/10/2025: Really lovely staff — super friendly and attentive from start to finish. The food presentation was beautiful, very creative and a bit on the posh side, which we appreciated. The wine was excellent too, definitely one of the highlights of the meal. That said, some of the dishes looked better than they tasted. A few lacked flavour, which made them feel a bit plain despite the fancy presentation. Had we known, we probably would’ve gone to one of the more traditional restaurants nearby, where the food tends to have a bit more punch. Overall though, great service, stylish vibe, and amazing wine — just needs a little more flavour to match the presentation.

31/10/2025: Everything was delicious! Compliments to the chef and the ingredients used. Superlative raw fish, appetizers (with fresh fish and Campisi preserves), and very good first courses! Location: oh well, you're by the sea, what can you say?!? Wonderful! Compliments!

11/11/2025: The food is okay, with a nice local touch and feeling. Was delighted with the pasta fresca sarde e finocchietto, grilled polpo with pistachio cream was delicious as well. Giuseppe was a very nice, friendly, and amiable waiter and host. The only thing missing was good extra virgin olive oil. This is not just the case at Da Bacco, but at many other restaurants in Palermo, Sicily, and Italy in general. It’s a shame that in the country known for some of the world’s best olive oils, the majority of restaurants and trattorias serve poor-quality EVOO.

08/11/2025: BIG TOURIST SCAM! They were displaying the raw fish on the plate and offered us (kind of pushed us) and we took one without asking the price as it was not in ala carte. They charged 35 eur for that fish! Similar item was only 20 eur in the price list! That was our first day. After spending 10 days in Sicily, we were sure that any food items can hardly reach 20 eur even in high end good restaurants. And we (couple) paid ~80 eur but still half full!!
