19/09/2025: The food was really good. The Posidon starter plate was the highlight. My wife had the risotto with porcini mushrooms as a side dish, which was very tasty. I had the involtini pesca, which was rather dry, with a side salad without sauce. Ordering oil and vinegar was rather difficult; nothing came, so I had to get some from other guests. The same thing happened with the aperitif: I got my caipiroska immediately, but my wife was forgotten; she got the drink with the starter! The ice cream I wanted for dessert disappeared after a 20-minute wait... we paid €100 and left... there was no limoncello. Conclusion: Very good food, below-average service.

18/09/2025: This place lived up to the excellent reviews we'd read. The staff was friendly, helpful, but not intrusive. The raw ham dish was excellent, as was the mixed grill. The wine was recommended, and the pizza was also excellent, which we decided to try. Everything was perfect, highly recommended.

16/09/2025: Apparently, you have to be grateful to be ignored at all here. We were sent away without comment during the off-season, even though the restaurant was completely empty. No greeting, no explanation, nothing. Perhaps the policy here is: no guests welcome unless you bring your own food. Beautiful location, but what good is the view if you can only see it from outside? Absolutely not recommended.

08/09/2025: Place looks good but they didn't welcomed us with a very simple "hello" and didn't want to give us a table for 2 at 19h30 when the restaurants was totally empty and they didn't give us any reason. Very rude.

12/10/2025: A beautiful venue with brick vaults, impeccable hospitality, and excellent food. I recommend the appetizers, a real treat!

05/10/2025: We ate very well, with an excellent appetizer and both the couscous and the ravioli were delicious. The house wine was good, and the service was fast and courteous.

03/10/2025: We waited 40 minutes just to get the antipasti and the room was half empty. In general too expensive. We paid 5 euros for a small bowl with only green salad. For a small grilled fish alone we paid 24€. The cous cous was very salty. Not recommended.

08/10/2025: I had chosen to try Campisi restaurant after reading many enthusiastic reviews, but unfortunately my experience didn't live up to expectations. The main course I ordered was completely salty, to the point of being inedible, and I had to send it back. I expected more attention to detail in the kitchen, especially considering the restaurant's reputation. That said, I still want to applaud the location, which is truly refined and charming, and the friendly and professional wait staff, who handled the situation with courtesy. I hope this was just an isolated incident, because the place certainly deserves the same level of culinary quality.

06/10/2025: The food was fine. The meat was nice and soft, and the sauce in my girlfriend's dish added a nice flavour. The lemon gel was basically frozen lemon juice which was meh (but then, it's kind of to be expected). The cannolo was nice, not the absolute best, but I was happy with it. The staff is nice and friendly, and the place feels very local out of the way of the main tourism sites.

07/10/2025: A rather disconcerting experience: terrible service, poor cleanliness, fish that was either tasteless or ruined by the chef. As soon as we arrived in Sicily, they recommended this restaurant to us. It's October, the tourist pressure is low, and you expect good service and good food. Unfortunately, no, raw scampi sent back, defrosted amberjack, inedible squid drowned in soy sauce, untouchable oil cruet because it wasn't clean, used and dirty bread napkins, confusing service, dirty walls. Maybe it's because I work in the restaurant business, but I was truly disappointed. Local cuisine should be something else.

04/10/2025: The quality-price ratio wasn't right in my opinion. €16 for a small amount of fried food, and despite the fact that the waiter told me there were 8 cassatelle, they only came with 7. The same goes for the seasonal fruit, which was a paltry amount. Sufficient.

13/10/2025: Great location, atmosphere and food!

13/10/2025: It was a beautiful warm evening at the end of September, and I went for a meal with a friend. Sitting outside was lovely — the atmosphere alone made it a pleasant start. The food was good, but the experience was spoiled by the attitude of the main waiter. He had to be in control of everything — very focused, like a hawk — and the only one allowed to take orders. Once you managed to get his attention, he was efficient, but otherwise, it was impossible to catch his eye. Funny enough, even with his overcontrolling manner, the cocktails that should have come first arrived only after we kept asking for them. The other waiters did not dare to help, though later a lady (probably the owner) came to apologise for cocktails being late, which was appreciated. Would I go again? Probably not.

21/09/2025: The restaurant and the service were simply wonderful. A table was made ready for us even though we didn't have a reservation, and the food—we had fish—was incredibly fresh and delicious. It's worth following the house specials. The evening was crowned with an orange tiramisu—it was a dream!

13/10/2025: We liked the restaurant so much that we returned two nights in a row. Welcoming a warm welcome from the owner, Corrado, we ate excellent seafood dishes, both in quality and preparation. The cassata was spectacular. Highly recommended.

15/09/2025: We visited Trattoria Spizzulimu and had an overall positive experience. Even though the restaurant was completely full, the young waiter welcomed us very warmly and even set up an extra table for us – truly excellent service! The food was equally impressive: the Insalata di Polpo was fresh and aromatic, and the gnocchi were delicious. Overall, a very pleasant visit with friendly service and excellent food – highly recommended.

18/08/2025: In one of Palermo's most charming and tranquil squares, you'll find a restaurant recommended by the Michelin Guide (no stars) but with a highly captivating description that opens up many expectations. In practice, however, you'll encounter many problems. You've chosen the six-course tasting menu: the following dishes received particularly poor marks: Calamarata, 'nduja sauce, eggplant, Ragusano DOP, basil mousse, and wild fennel: a very bland and unremarkable dish. Double-marinated veal fillet, smoked tomato, black pig cheek, Sicilian Pecorino DOP wafer, fresh oregano It's practically impossible, even allowing for any kind of error in the preparation, to serve such a tough veal fillet. Not even the many supposedly intriguing additional ingredients managed to produce an acceptable dish. Grilled leek, brown vegetable stock, vegetables, marjoram. Unspeakable. I thought of an unlikely "raw vegetable dish." The staff is extremely kind and patient, but professionally, they still need to hone their skills in the face of the challenges that this now disillusioned industry presents. The sommelier, in particular, must radically rethink his professional perspective. Wine of choice: Grillo di Sicilia: good. Bill for two: €290. Advice to the owners: radically rethink everything because if the strategy focuses on passing customers, who once met will never be seen again, you can't build a minimally credible proposal.

16/08/2025: Just wow! What an amazing restaurant! It is part of the Michelin guide and for sure it deserves a star! One of the best ones I have ever been. Delicious food. Cozy atmosphere. Splendid service. Unique flavors. If you are considering going, just do it 😁
