18/01/2026: As an Australian who has recently relocated to the area, finding Trattoria Don Ciccio has been a real gift. I’ve eaten here regularly, and every single visit delivers the same result: a perfect meal and genuinely warm, attentive service. The menu is simple, but that’s exactly where the magic lies — everything is done exceptionally well, with a level of consistency that’s honestly rare. The involtini are without doubt the best in the Palermo area — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and exactly how they should be. My advice: stick with the traditional Sicilian house wine. It pairs beautifully with the food and completes the experience. And the tiramisu? Absolutely outstanding — easily one of the best I’ve ever had and the perfect way to end the meal. Food and service: 100 out of 10. A true local gem that never disappoints.

14/09/2025: Everything was good, the service was fast, the location was very nice, authentic, they didn't rip you off, and the food was good. Not the easiest to get to if you don't know Macchia.

12/09/2025: The panoramic view of the Ionian coast, the terrace for summer evenings with live music, and the spacious interior make this place ideal for friends and family. The restaurant is ideal for events or simply for an evening with friends. My group and I, when we're looking for a cool evening and great food, this is the first place we think of. Dario, his wife, and all the staff make you feel at ease. See you next time!!

15/12/2025: I tried a lot of restaurants in Sicili with my girlfriend. This is by far the absolute best without a doubt. I cannot fathom how anyone would rate them less than five stars. You would have to be born without a tongue to rate them less than five stars. Best pasta I ever ate. Period. The service was absolutely amazing. They brought everything we needed, the second we needed. The antipasti was served immediately. The prices were completely acceptable, much cheaper than many other restaurants that do not even compare in the same league as them. Can't go wrong with this restaurant. If you are in Sicilia, go here. You will not regret it!

15/12/2025: We were there yesterday, we were on a trip to Scicli, the place is a bit small, but very welcoming, and above all clean, we were more than 50 people and yet every time we went to the bathroom it was always clean, the staff were too friendly especially Guglielmo who welcomed us with a smile, very patient and kind with all of us, but especially with my husband who targeted him by pestering him but obviously joking and Guglielmo was in on the joke, too kind and professional really

22/11/2025: An incredibly homely atmosphere - the rustic thrown together interior feels authentic and charming, just like the food. The service was amazing: there was a mistake with our order and even though we said we didn't mind and would eat the dish that we received, they still brought us a free taster of what we ordered. Afterwards, to apologise again (even though we really really didn't mind) we got some pistachio cookies to take home. I mean. That's just too nice. ✨✨

I especially appreciated Carlo's kindness, which I relied on for advice and was very pleased with. Consult him because he knows how to make sure you have an unforgettable evening. The cuisine is a tale of the sea and the land. During our lunch (for my birthday), I tasted several iconic dishes, but a special mention goes to the pasta with sea urchins, a dish of great purity, perfectly flavorful, and captivating, capturing the essence of Sicily and the Mediterranean. Each course is thoughtful, precise, and never overdone, using excellent ingredients and impeccable cooking. The wine list is extraordinary, extensive, and top-notch, with great Italian and international labels, important vintages, and truly impeccable pairings. Here, wine is an integral part of the experience. Professional, elegant, and attentive service, a refined yet welcoming atmosphere in the heart of Ortigia. Don Camillo is an essential stop in Syracuse for those who love great cuisine and great wine.

03/03/2026: We stopped in on the evening of a tiring day of traveling. My friend recommended it. He had been here for 10 years. Impeccable service, perfect food, sophisticated decor, wide and quality wine selection. This is such a perfect day. Today we only ate good food and in good places. But the crown was placed here. We left smiling and satisfied. Five stars. We will be back tomorrow.

12/11/2025: A nice little restaurant recommended by our host. It is in a small typical street. Waiters were friendly and English was not a problem. We have all ordered pasta which were delicious. Desserts are simple, classic and good. The room was nicely decorated.
