Everything delicious. Vegan meatballs are addictive. There is never enough sea bream. The seafood appetizer is appetizing and appetizing.

Awesome restaurant in the middle of nowhere. You will feel stuffed, because they offer large portion sizes… but the quality of the dishes is excitingly good. Really, really good.

During our 5-day holiday in Sicily, we found this fantastic culinary paradise, lost in the hills and managed by Mrs. Fulvia's family who welcomed us with a warmth that only true Sicilians can offer. We opted for the Mare Nostrum menu, and an aubergine caponata from the Misto Veg menu. I must say that the revisited traditional cuisine (Mrs. Fulvia likes to define it as 'creative traditional') has its own reason. The fish starters were very delicate with 3 elaborate dishes based on Sicilian, Arabic and Norman. The thing that fascinated us was precisely the passion in taking care of food which was carefully conveyed to us in the explanation of each dish. Even for the couscous which is handmade (1 hour to make 1 kg), we were shown the 'mafaratta' the tool with which the couscous is produced and is accompanied by an amazing fish broth and garnish of mussels and squid rings. For the second course, CBT sea bream fillet (cooked at low temperature) with green beans and pepper cream that does not overpower the delicate flavor of the fish. finish the lemon cheesecake as the final cherry on this menu which also has a low cost for the quality offered. What can I say? Divinely eaten, we can say this without a shadow of a doubt to those like us, as Romagna gourmets, who love creativity in the reworking of dishes typical of the area. We thank Mrs. Fulvia for accompanying us, with her stories of the family tradition from the end of the 19th century to the present day, in understanding the nuances of the food she made us taste. For us it was an unforgettable evening. We will definitely be back. It's a shame not to have the opportunity to give the sixth star.

Abbiamo scelto il menù mare nostrum e la pasta al pesto trapanese. Tutto buonissimo, fresco, delicato e gustoso. Consigliato per chi è in cerca di una cucina leggera ma che non tradisce le aspettative degli amanti della cucina siciliana. Servizio attentissimo e cortese. Se siete in zona, assolutamente da non perdere

We had dinner in this characteristic restaurant, beautiful, elegant, clean, with careful attention to aesthetic detail. We received a warm welcome from the managers and appreciated the education and professionalism of the waiter. In this restaurant you can choose between an à la carte menu and three fixed menus (one vegan, one meat and one fish). Being vegan we obviously chose the first which was composed of: 1. an appetizer of battered vegetables, aubergine caponata, sweet and sour courgettes, panelle. It is possible that you have already tried them in other trattorias, but I assure you that you will instantly notice the difference because the batter was very crunchy and light as a cloud, the panelle were thin, crunchy and digestible. And I personally had never eaten such good sweet and sour caponata and courgettes. 2. a first course of busiate with Trapani pesto, aubergine cream and "muddrica atturrata", which is the parmesan of Sicilians and vegans🤪. This course was also exceptional; it is a traditional classic which is already vegan in itself. 3. a second course of legume meatballs on vegetable cream. The meatballs were very crunchy, they had a very good and particular flavor and the vegetable cream was perfect to accompany them. This course was undoubtedly the most appreciated because no restaurateur offers legumes to vegans, but rather the usual array of grilled vegetables or a simple pasta with sauce (thus making us miss the protein part of the meal). 4. And finally for dessert, there was an almond pudding and cocoa crumble. This is also excellent. From start to finish it was a riot of authentic flavours. The raw materials were excellent and each course was taken care of down to the smallest detail (from the textures to the plating). We didn't expect such a balanced menu from a nutritional point of view and you can see that behind the chef's work there is a careful study of the balance of a vegan diet. I feel like giving him the most sincere compliments because not all restaurateurs accept challenges of this type, putting themselves out there and experimenting with new compositions in the kitchen.

25/10/2023: How nice to think back to a place that made us feel good. Returning to Favignana after a few years, I regretted not having discovered it sooner! A small delicatessen restaurant with a few seats, open kitchen and family-run where you can feel at home. We had lunch and dinner with excellent dishes at a good price, and we had the opportunity to chat with the chef father and his children. Super recommended especially for lunch when the pace is more relaxed. We were happy that we weren't in a hurry and that we stopped for a while like we do as friends. Until next time!
