Antica Locanda In Siracusa

This place is fantastic! We had the fish of the day, the tuna and the seafood pasta. Every dish was fantastic and fresh. The service was super attentive and personal. It’s not a very flashy place, and it wasn’t full when we were there, but it was the best meal I’ve had in Italy you should go!

I found this place on Google and it was a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is very cute and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly kind. We had paccheri with swordfish and pistachios, while I opted for the catch of the day: grilled swordfish with baked potatoes and an orange and almond salad. Everything was excellent! Highly recommended :)

Excellent food and a warm welcome, I recommend it 1000%!

Antica Locanda was one of the highlights of our time in Ortigia. It was recommended by our hotel, and we’re so glad we trusted their advice. Unlike many of the busier restaurants in the area, this felt authentic, relaxed, and far less touristy, making for a wonderful dining experience. The service was honestly 15 out of 10. Every member of the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cared that we had a great evening. We even had the pleasure of meeting the chef, who was such a kind and gracious person. You could really feel the passion that goes into both the food and the hospitality. The food arrived piping hot, exactly as it should. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Some of the dishes leaned more toward rich, sauce-based flavors, but they were absolutely delicious and full of authentic Sicilian taste. Between the exceptional service, the warm atmosphere, and the outstanding food, this was a dinner we’ll remember long after our trip. If you’re looking for a genuine Sicilian dining experience in Ortigia, Antica Locanda is well worth a visit.

The inn and staff are exquisite, a place that feels like lunch at grandma's house, highly recommended!

I've been twice, first with friends and then with family, and I highly recommend it. It's the kind of restaurant where you want to return soon! 😁 Fresh fish caught by them in Portopalo, fresh pasta made to order, generous portions (the fabulous appetizer is worth the visit alone), quality cuisine, friendly service, and reasonable prices. I think it's very difficult to find all this in a restaurant. Catching the fish themselves, in my opinion, allows them to always offer fresh fish and generous portions. Thanks for a wonderful evening, we'll definitely be back! 😁
