25/07/2024: What a cool and quaint spot in the backstreets of Rome. We stopped in for a snack, the waiter seemed upset when that was all that we ordered. Our meat and cheese tray was delicious. When it came time to pay, the same waiter strongly suggested that we pay in cash and to leave a tip. Great little place just about ruined by the waiter.

08/07/2024: We were in the area and hungry....what can I say, I wouldn't say its a tourist trap, but definitely a tourist restaurant. The waiter was friendly, but food, nothing to write home about. We had appertizer, a couple rigatoni carbonara, meatballs, 2 beers, bread..came out to 81 Euros. Would I recommend it ??..probably not, but you can always do a lot worse.

14/08/2024: Extremely slow service, we waited 25 minutes for 3 beers and a bottle of water even though we were the only guests.

14/08/2024: Our first place that we stopped at in Rome as we it was so close to our Airbnb location - quite literally around the corner. Staff were friendly, seated us quickly, and were ready to take our order whenever. I had a very large beer for around 8 euro (not bad considering the size of it) and my girlfriend and I split a pizza that we enjoyed. Definitely a nice little area to quickly grab a beer, pizza, pasta, and more.

13/08/2024: Clean restaurant, possibility of eating inside with air conditioning or outside in peace, central location, very easy to reach, very friendly and helpful staff, the owner Francesco is a very competent person, he can advise you based on your every culinary desire. I was there July 2024.. I recommend it. I will happily return..

08/08/2024: Starters and second courses to forget, dessert and coffee and bitters not on the menu. If you don't want to binge without limits, go and eat well in an à la carte restaurant for the same price. Perfect service and place, shame about the most important thing is the cuisine!

04/08/2024: We have been to this place many times when it just opened. Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated a lot. We went there on a Sunday for lunch, the place was almost empty, the food and wine were of poor quality, for the first time we ate almost nothing. I will definitely not come back again.

01/09/2024: Exactly what we needed at that time, carbonara without cheese and good fresh fruits! It was cheap and not crowded. :)

16/07/2024: Colpisce subito la gentilezza del personale. Educatissimo e competente. Antipasti tipici romani eccellenti. Fiori di zucca alici e mozzarelle. E pizzottelle ripiene al ciauscolo anche questo delizioso. Poi i primi… cacio e pepe e gricia eccellenti. Da segnalare infine lo scrigno di cioccolato fondente allo zabaione: semplicemente divino. Consigliato senza se e senza ma. Complimenti a tutti i ragazzi che ci lavorano!

02/09/2024: Serata tra parenti posto consigliato da mio fratello che è un loro frequentatore da sconsigliare assolutamente. Chiesto menù da 25 euro comprendete antipasto più primo ci viene portato un antipasto da 20 euro che comprendeva 1 Mozzarella 1 ricottina al miele 1 fetta di prosciutto 1 melanzana grigliata 1 zucchina grigliata 1 fettina di mortadella grigliata 1 fettina di frittata al tartufo altezza omelette mezza salsiccia cotta al vino mezza salsiccia secca due piattini di porchetta e due fettine a testa di due diversi tipi di salami 8 primi 1 vino della casa 8 acque e 3 caffe dimenticavo un piattino di pasta al pomodoro per mio nipote totale in 8 persone 291 euro questi non sono prezzi da fraschetta fatto notare che avevamo chiesto il menù antipasto e primo con pagamento di differenza per i primi in quanto sono stati presi dei primi che costavano 1 euro in più di quelli compresi nel menù la loro giustificazione è stata che avevano portato il menù da 20 con solo antipasto. Mai più

01/09/2024: Una fraschetta con la F maiuscola per tuo ciò che abbiamo potuto gustare ed apprezzare. Materie prime infinitamente fresche. Servizio celere, cortese e professionale. Il titolare è stato attento ad ogni nostra pretesa. La porchetta la migliore di Ariccia. Complimenti.

27/07/2024: Wow, what an experience. Best food we have had in 3 weeks traveling throughout the country. Highlights: Anchovy endive flan Oxtail gnocchi !! Veal stew !! Mixed salad All the desserts! Great service Focused and exceptional wine list mainly natural. We would highly recommend this location. My only qualm is the atmosphere is a bit sterile and music would be nice to warm up the vibe.

22/02/2024: 10 anni che vivo a Roma e Maccheroni è sempre stato un riferimento- anche per i romani "veri". Nelle ultime 4 volte, portando sempre persone di fuori narrando della bontà di questo posto, mi ha fatto veramente sfigurare. Pessimo servizio (senza biccheri dopo aver portato il vino, 20 minuti per avere i menu etc, piatti lanciati in tavola per la fretta, confusione), qualità del cibo veramente portato nel tempo ai minimi accettabili (per dire, un agnello immangiabile). Insomma, da che era un punto di riferimento in città, si sta trasformando solo nell'ennesima trappola acchiappa-turisti. Dispiacere profondo. Sarebbe bello vedere che la proprietà torni a portare l'attenzione su quel calore e la simpatia delle cose fatte in semplicità ma bene che avevano prima.

15/07/2024: My mother’s Kipling bag was STOLEN by the staff of this restaurant on May 6th at 10:00 PM. Inside the bag there were two Brazilian passports, five credit cards (all of which were used), two wallets with documents, and an iPhone 13. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the waiter FABRIZZIO, a name I will never forget, who directed us to a table in a dark area inside the restaurant. We found this strange because we wanted to sit outside, but he insisted. The waiter was very friendly, talking to us the whole time. The bag was hanging on my chair, and at a certain point, FABRIZZIO called another waiter, and while FABRIZZIO was talking to us, this same waiter quickly took my mother's bag from behind my chair without us noticing. We found it strange that he called this waiter to talk to us since our conversation was with FABRIZZIO and not the other waiter. Shortly after that, FABRIZZIO offered me a limoncello so that I would stay longer in the restaurant without noticing the stolen bag, allowing them to continue using the cards. As soon as I paid the bill, I received a notification on my phone that my card was being used for purchases online at 10:42 PM inside the restaurant by the staff. As soon as I told FABRIZZIO that the bag was no longer there and that my card was being used, he said, "you didn't bring a bag, there was no bag on the chair. You’re crazy!" What kind of answer is that? I asked for a charger and for them to call the police. They pretended to call the police and gave me a charger that didn't work. We were sitting inside the restaurant with no one around, and we never imagined that the restaurant staff could rob us. We were desperate in the restaurant until it closed, and we saw all the staff leaving hurriedly with their backpacks closed. The restaurant owner made no effort to help us, he didn't even get up from his chair. We tried going to the police in Trastevere, but they told us we had to go to another station that opened at 8am. We went to the police the next day, as shown in the attached images, but they informed us that this is common with tourists. For those of you interested in eating at this restaurant, just search here in Google reviews for "credit card" and you'll find a review from a year ago talking about something very similar. Still have doubts? Then search on TripAdvisor for the review from March 2023 about their Revolut card being stolen too. It seems the staff has been stealing customers' cards for over a year, and the restaurant owner does nothing about it. We asked our Airbnb host to call the restaurant the next day, and they simply said they didn't know anything and that nothing had happened. Will they continue to say nothing happened even with the photos of the police visit the next day? We missed our train because we had to go to the police and the Brazilian embassy to issue new passports. It was our last night in Rome, and we suffered more than 1500 euros in losses. They used all the cards at nearby places and online locations like McDonald's, Alimentari Shamim, and tried to buy gift cards online via Google Play. They managed to use 200 euros on the five stolen cards through contactless payments and online purchases, which were thankfully refunded by our banks because of our police report. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AND DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING UNATTENDED!

31/12/2023: We went to this very rustic trattoria before Christmas, a place that to say is Spartan is an understatement, where you would think you would eat well, plentifully, and spend the right amount. You would think, precisely, because the reality is quite different. To start, the three of us shared a platter of cured meats and cheeses (not even excellent ones to be honest), then we had a plate of pappardelle with wild boar ragù each and a portion of kid, again each. To drink water (tap) and a liter of house marc. Bill: 45 euros per skull, having also skipped side dishes, fruit and dessert. For the same amount you could eat fish in Fiumicino and even pay for petrol to get there. To never again.
