09/11/2025: Wow!!! Stumbled on this gem tonight. Absolutely fantastic. Staff were friendly and very welcoming (squeezing us in without a reservation). So glad that they did; the food was fantastic and easily the best that we have had in Rome. A completely different culinary experience from the myriad of “cloned” pizzeria/tavernas clones across Rome. Understand what this restaurant actually is and you will not be disappointed!!!

21/10/2025: Terrible service. The main server (Italian) was very rude from start to finish, rushing us to choose and leave! The meal and price were acceptable (pinsa for everyone). I don't recommend it. Michaël M

08/07/2025: Seconda volta che passo da Massimo, e c’è un motivo! Il palato gode! È una bella, accogliente e calda trattoria romana che aggiunge anche la pinsa ai piatti della tradizione oltre a quelli classici della cucina italiana. Ho provato il pollo con i peperoni e successivamente gli scottadito accompagnato da focaccia calda. Un piacere per il palato. Le porzioni sono abbondanti, buone! Non ho ancora provato la pasta ma non mancherò: quei bei piatti fanno voglia! Lo consiglio. Una garanzia. Servizio cordiale e attento. Prezzo onesto per la qualità offerta. Location molto molto bella! Provatelo!

29/10/2025: HORRIBLE dinner experience. We've been on vacation in Giulianova for a few days, and we've had lunch and dinner at many other places, but we've never experienced such a horrible osteria with such an unpleasant owner/cook/waiter. We entered, the place was empty, and even before asking if we could have dinner, I noticed the psycho-assassin look the owner gave me (I only realized later that he probably meant "how dare you come into my place"). We asked if there was room (the place was completely empty) and he didn't answer, while the owner's father politely told us "yes, of course, have a seat." The owner brought us the menu, where we could read all the various appetizers, all the various first courses, and all the various second courses separately, with each dish priced individually, which suggests that everyone was free to order what they wanted without the constraint of having to order more than one course. I decided to order a plate of meatballs in tomato sauce, which on the menu were classified as an appetizer (€15 for the appetizer... and what the heck, I might add!!!), while my husband decided to order a simple carbonara. The owner started to give us a long speech about how we could also order something else, that we had to order this, that, and the other... we insisted, saying what we wanted to eat, and he told us... "Yeah, okay, but are you two and you're eating for one? At least make it €30 for dinner, because otherwise it's not even worth turning on the stove for me"... I wanted to get up, say goodbye, and leave... but my husband still wanted to stay, ordering a portion and a half of carbonara because that would make up for what the owner said was a meal for one person!!!! But if you put a menu with various dishes, everyone will be free to order what they want???? Otherwise, you'd say right away that it works differently. He brings us the food... good meatballs but nothing exceptional, the carbonara on the other hand was completely al dente, in fact I'd say practically raw. We calmly ate everything and when we still hadn't finished, the owner approached us and said, "Aren't you eating much? I guess since you're still eating this, you don't want to order anything else, right?" We reply, "No, we'll finish what he brought us, and that's enough for us." He simply replies, "No, because it's 8:45 PM and since there's no one here tonight, I have to close at 9 PM." As if to say, "Get the hell out of here right now!" while we were still eating. I swear I dropped everything right there, grabbed my things, and left. My husband, out of kindness, finished, paid (a whopping €36 for what was crap... I hope I spend it all on medicine for a bad case of diarrhea!), and left. Can anyone be so rude, ill-mannered, insolent, and disgusting? These people don't deserve to have a business, and they don't deserve even a cent. TOTAL DISGUSTING.

The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, with a warm Italian charm that makes you feel welcome the moment you step inside. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring everything went perfectly throughout our meal. Andrayano was very polite and helpful choosing the meals

02/10/2025: A rich menu, decent service, good dishes, but a lot of mistakes... the red wine was served ice-cold and cheap (full of sulfur), a little bone in the porchetta almost made me lose a tooth, and then I'll tell you this... during payment I joked, "Was there pancetta or guanciale in the amatriciana? Because there was no trace of either." The funny thing is that the owner was so focused on the word pancetta that she didn't hear the second part of the sentence, and continued to ignore it, thinking I'd provoked her. Now maybe she has time to read it here: THE AMATRICIANA WAS PASTA WITH TOMATOES. YOU HAVE TO THROW A DOZEN STRIPS OF BACON

10/11/2025: We had a great time, a small place but great hospitality. There were 11 of us, including children, who, being children, can cause a bit of chaos. The waiter and chef were very hospitable and patient. I forgot to let them know I couldn't eat cheese, so they replaced two dishes for me...no problem. Excellent food, good price. I'll definitely be back. Thank you.

04/11/2025: I wasn’t planning to go out today, but a small bonus from a website (it’s on the photo) changed my mind. Ordered a pizza — and my mood instantly lifted. Really tasty and cozy, made the whole day brighter. Sometimes these spontaneous evenings are the best ones.

31/10/2025: We ordered the Austrian pinsa, which was very good. We also had a red beer, which was also very good. The price was fair.

06/10/2025: The food here was beautiful, we don't speak any Italian and the lady was very helpful with the menu.

12/10/2025: Small, cozy atmosphere. Roman osteria style. One of the waitresses was friendlier than her colleague. The owner was also very nice (I assume he was the owner). Unfortunately, we happened to be there on an evening when there were also diners outside, so the door was often open for food delivery (it goes without saying that we ate, annoyed by the draft). And the table next to us had quite noisy women, so we struggled to chat among ourselves. What a shame.

21/09/2025: A family dinner for three couples was a great success! The place is a little small but cozy; reservations are recommended! Very friendly and professional customer service! Excellent, high-quality food, generously portioned! The final bill was a bit pricey, but it was still well-proportioned for the quality and service provided! Parking is available near the level crossing.

01/11/2025: Excellent restaurant, fresh food, dream carbonara, excellent meat, excellent service!

23/10/2025: The appetizer, with a few slices of salami and prosciutto, was all mediocre and limited. The first courses were forgettable! Fettuccine with porcini mushrooms was completely tasteless, with no mushrooms at all. The flavor and quantity were excellent. The mezze maniche all'amatriciana were either undercooked or the pasta was poor quality, too hard! The cake was tasteless, almost dry, with no filling whatsoever, perhaps a thin layer of cream that was barely noticeable. Absolutely worth avoiding! The reviews said so, but it was convenient and we thought management had changed, but it's all true, worth avoiding immediately.

15/10/2025: Truffle bruschetta tasted like everything but truffle, with untoasted bread that was cold and wet in the center. The first course (tonnarello with mushrooms) was full of pepper. The mushrooms were tasteless and cut into large cubes, definitely frozen and of poor quality. At that point, I didn't dare ask for a second course. Highly not recommended.

09/10/2025: A typical local restaurant: small, informal, and welcoming, with authentic ingredients and reasonable prices. We had excellent pasta alla gricia and a delicious pasta and chickpea soup, accompanied by a small bottle of local wine. Very satisfying.
