A restaurant from another era. It looks like a late 19th-century English establishment, with hanging lamps and wood paneling. The appetizer trolley is as they used to be. I ordered gratinated vegetables and Roman-style nervetti. A wide selection of fish. I ordered excellent porcini mushrooms. The dessert trolley is also there. Not a trendy place, but definitely worth a visit.

A family-run restaurant with a varied menu of Roman cuisine and sophisticated specialties (puntarelle, truffle, polenta, and Italian delicacies based on seasonal produce). A variety of appetizers and a menu featuring consistently fresh, top-quality ingredients: fresh fish, deliciously cooked. Of course, the desserts are strictly homemade! My top pick: homemade ravioli or cannelloni, veal breast baked in the oven with fresh potato chips, and a piping hot tartina della nonna! There's nothing better in Rome.

An old-school restaurant, where good food and service are truly at the heart of the customer experience. I recommend the starters, and definitely leave room for the dessert trolley, which deserves more than one taste. The restaurant is large and has ample parking, but reservations are recommended for busy days like Sunday lunchtime.

Recommended for its convenience, well-maintained location, good service, and quality food. But trusting the waiter without asking for the menu is a mistake customers should avoid, as it's a surprise at the end. The prices are above average, in my opinion.

Osteria Mangiafuoco a Monteverde Vecchio

01/07/2026: An excellent meal, including a starter, main course, and dessert. However, the service wasn't exceptional, rather slow even though there weren't many people there. The atmosphere, on the other hand, was very pleasant and welcoming.
01/06/2026: Truly delicious, and finally with a professional chef. The seafood lunch (cod bonbon, citrus spaghetti, and fried fish without burnt oil) was truly delicious, I must say, and there was a wide selection of wines and spirits. Well done!
