12/08/2024: Wandering around Rome, we come across this restaurant and without having booked we ask for a free table for two. The staff very kindly found us a table straight away but with one condition: request at least two courses. Looking at the menu, full of special proposals, we immediately decide to try the "Bar a Vin" tasting menu which includes two starters, a first course, a second course and a sweet or savory choice! The two appetizers of the tasting are a Roman Maritozzo stuffed with lamb (very good) and a Roman-style flaky bread with butter and olives stuffed with ricotta and sausage. The first is a dish of "ricotta and mint buttons with courgette cream" (good!) while the second is a deer tartare, crunchy wasabi with egg bottarga. To conclude, instead of dessert, I opt for a savory dish, i.e. a selection of cheeses. Each dish is served with a very accurate description which makes the experience better. The bill is slightly above average due to both the location and the beautiful location of the restaurant but in any case I absolutely recommend a visit and since the menu changes very often I don't rule out a return for the winter season.

11/08/2024: Girovagando per Roma, ci imbattiamo in questo ristorante e senza aver prenotato chiediamo un tavolo libero per due. Il personale molto gentilmente ci trova subito il tavolo ma con una condizione: richiedere almeno due portate. Osservando il menù, ricco di proposte particolari, decidiamo subito di provare il menù degustazione “Bar a Vin” che comprende due antipasti, un primo, un secondo e un dolce o salato a scelta! I due antipasti della degustazione sono un maritozzo romano ripieno di agnello (molto buono) e un pane sfogliato con burro e olive alla romana ripiene di ricotta e salsiccia. Il primo è un piatto di “bottoni di ricotta e menta con crema di zucchine” (buona!) mentre per secondo una tartare di daino, wasabi croccante con bottarga di uovo. Per concludere opto, invece del dolce, per un salato ossia una selezione di formaggi. Ogni piatto è servito da una descrizione molto accurata che rende migliore l’esperienza. Il conto è leggermente sopra la media dovuta sia alla posizione sia alla bellissima location del ristorante ma in ogni caso consiglio assolutamente un passaggio e poiché il menù cambia molto spesso non escludo un ritorno per la stagione invernale.

01/09/2024: Dopo diversi rifiuti abbiamo tentato al Le Grotte su suggerimento (gentilissimo) della cameriera di un locale poco lontano, il locale è grande (e molto carino) quindi dopo pochi minuti eravamo seduti. Buona la pasta e la ciccia e pure la pizza (piccolo assaggio), il servizio non è rapidissimo ma ci siamo presi bene con il nostro cameriere quindi non ci siamo annoiati. Prezzo nella norma e nulla di cui lamentarsi

18/08/2024: I came here to kill time until my train time. It's about a 3 minute walk from Termini station. Ordered tiramisu and iced Americano. The moist and mildly sweet tiramisu was extremely delicious! It was a semi-basement shop with a nice atmosphere.

15/08/2024: It's located in the basement and the food isn't that good. Seriously, this is my first time eating carbonara that tastes so bad. I doubt that the people who say it's delicious here have ever been to a proper restaurant 🤮 The bread is stale, and the carbona is made with egg yolk and cheese all lumped together. It is eaten separately from the raw noodles, so it is eaten with salt and pepper later, and is left over in the end.

17/08/2024: A very quiet environment, the food is excellent, the owner gives you the impression of being a little grumpy but he isn't at all... I recommend him to everyone...

03/08/2024: One of the better meals we had in Rome. The food was very good. The rigatoni alla gricia was amazing and my dinner was great as well. The service was very good and was friendly to us. Definitely recommend for a great Roman meal.

21/08/2024: Here we are at sub-zero levels when it comes to catering. Local dating back to the 70s which reflects the degradation of the neighborhood. Staff not up to par, starting with the restaurant manager (definitely annoyed and of few words), menu unchanged for many years (perhaps forever), low quality products badly cooked (some smelly) passed off as fresh, actually pre-frozen (tris of supplì arrived at the table totally frozen internally). The waiting times are biblical as soon as the place gets a little full. The "few" waiters are in total confusion with the orders. Definitely negative quality/price ratio. It is therefore clear that the restaurant is managed by people who have nothing to do with catering. If you want to think about traditional flavors with innovation and taste, with a young, smiling and professional staff and with quality cuisine, I strongly advise against this restaurant.

17/08/2024: I went with my family on August 15th with a fixed menu. I found the price/quality excessive, the starters were quite good, I didn't find the roasted meat not cooked well and too fatty, the side potatoes not good, to my liking. They could have added a dessert, it would have been appreciated. The place is beautiful and well-kept. Helpful staff

27/07/2024: Nothing to say about the food and the kindness of the staff, just pay attention to when the owner, the older one, prepares the bill for you. First of all handmade not well specified. Furthermore they offered us stuffed courgettes, off the menu, there were 2 in number, for the modest sum of 18 euros!!!!!!!!! Too bad it ruined everything positive we had said before... Scandalous
