29/05/2026: A lovely, welcoming place where pets are welcome; mine, for example, was made very welcome, and our two-year-old daughter was also treated very well. The food was excellent, and Angelica, who served us, was incredibly kind and friendly. They don't show the menu, which is perhaps the only flaw, as customers have every right to see how much they spend. Otherwise, nothing to complain about; in fact, I highly recommend it!
26/05/2026: Excellent restaurant, the only drawback is that the cooking smells sometimes waft into the dining room.
Delicious and plentiful first courses.
Excellent grilled meat.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Reasonable prices.

06/06/2026: Good service and a nice atmosphere, but the food lacks quality. Too many dishes seem built around frying, breading, and heavy preparation, as if trying to hide mediocre ingredients rather than showcase good ones. Nothing stood out, and most of the meal was forgettable. Better for drinks than dinner.
02/06/2026: Unfortunately, despite its reputation, I didn't have a great experience. The location and service were actually good, but I was really disappointed with the food.
The appetizer wasn't anything special, but the meat... it was a real shame. We asked for it to be rare, and what arrived was basically a well-done rib eye. A real shame, I don't think I'll be back.

16/05/2026: It was very pleasant and cozy inside but unfortunately the food I ordered was not good. I had the fettuccine pomodoro, the sauce was tasty but the pasta was not even al dente, it was undercooked to the point that I decided to not eat it at all. I like al dente pasta, but this was definitely not the case. The server was polite enough but he did not bother to ask why most of the meal I ordered was left untouched, he just took my plate and that was it.

03/06/2026: I have dined at hundreds of restaurants around the world, and unfortunately this experience was nothing special. The service was extremely slow, with meals being brought out one at a time rather than together. We asked to sit inside, but the waiter refused despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Our order was also brought out incorrectly, yet the waiter insisted it was what we had ordered. To make matters worse, the food was overly salty and lacked the quality you would expect for the price. Overall, a very disappointing dining experience that did not live up to its reputation. I would not go back. Stay away.

There were a few small errors in the order, but that was understandable given the busy Sunday lunch season; however, the staff was very kind in rectifying the situation. Various gluten-free options are also available.
06/05/2026: Excellent seafood restaurant with good value. Generous portions and very helpful staff. The retro location deserves a revisit. Highly recommended.

23/06/2026: I waited 45 minutes for my order. A sausage, a slice of scamorza cheese, a broccolini, and three glasses of wine. €50. Extremely poor value for mediocre food. I wouldn't recommend this place.

He beautifully read our desires and went above and beyond to make it happen for us. Warm and personable! We will be coming back next time we’re in Rome, even if only to see him! :))
17/07/2026: At Hosteria Da Cesare, I understood that in Rome, a diet starts on Monday and ends on Monday. The service makes you feel right at home. You leave so happy that the only difficult decision is whether to order dessert or have pasta again.
