25/03/2025: The food was great and the staff was extremely friendly and very fast. The restaurant is located in a side street to a rather busy one. Therefore it has a quiet ambiente coming from the big street but you will still hear some noises which was completely fine for me.

25/03/2025: Nice place, a short distance from Piazza del Popolo. It has outdoor tables, directly on Via del Babuino. The dishes are good and well-prepared, with quality ingredients. Average prices with adequate portions. We particularly enjoyed the artichokes alla romana and alla giudia, the tagliatelle all'amatriciana and alla carbonara and the radicchio al au gratin; the homemade desserts are also very good. Courteous and fast service. Definitely recommended.

26/03/2025: Epic carbonara with generous portions. A place stuck in the 70s... but that's also the beauty of the experience.

21/03/2025: Ate ricotta and spinach ravioli with artichoke cream and bombolotti alla carbonara. Generous portions, delicious. Carbonara 10 and praise. Artichokes alla giudia perfect. Fast and impeccable service. Simply everything excellent. Prices more than fair.

30/03/2025: Today I had lunch at the tavern in question and honestly I was hoping for much better after reading various reviews. Good food but honestly the bruschetta with chicken pâté didn't make me as crazy as the matriciana. According to me, the meatballs with sage are good, the sweet is good, too bad the portions are a bit small and the price is decidedly high considering that we are in Pigneto and not in the historic center. Perfect service and welcome

26/03/2025: Traditional Roman trattoria that has not lost its original imprint. The dishes are certainly not gourmet, but they still have the flavors of the past. Service and ambiance basic, but overall satisfactory.

25/03/2025: If you are looking for a trattoria with typical Roman cuisine near the Basilica of San Paolo, the trattoria Zampagna is the place you are looking for. We went last Sunday, we were a large group and they put us in a private room (we occupied it all) Antipasto alla romana composed of excellent quality cold cuts, cheeses and an excellent artichoke alla giudia. Then came her majesty the carbonara, perfectly cooked, creamy and with lots of crispy bacon. No one (including the ladies) refused to have seconds. The amatriciana was also very good. At the end, delicious homemade desserts (recommended sour cherry tart and tiramisu) Water and wine included in the price, a fast, courteous and attentive service. Really kind, friendly and cheerful staff. Thank you for making us spend a lovely Sunday

05/04/2025: Reasonably priced, for the location, with lots of vegan items to choose from. They're listed alongside the non-vegan options in the main menu which is always welcomed. We had prebooked a table for 2pm but there were plenty of available tables at this time. It soon filled up. The atmosphere was decent. There were two members of staff working, one who was incredibly pleasant and approachable. We had suppli to start, followed by a pizza and some gnocchi, all of which was tasty but not amazing. Can't grumble for the price, especially given the location.

17/03/2025: If you want a quick bite and a drink after the colosseum, this is a fantastic option. Had a great breakfast at a great price. Got to sit out on the terrace and the staff was very quick and kind.

19/03/2025: from appetizer to dessert through meatballs everything excellent. Family atmosphere, you feel at home. Attentive and courteous staff. Decor of a typical tavern. Good homemade pasta, carbonara and cacio e pepe well done with a nice cream. I am often in that area and I will return. Better to book the table in advance.

16/03/2025: Era un lugar agradable que era auténtico, que yo y mi familia y yo fuimos un par de veces juntos con pasta casera muy agradable. La tercera vez que fuimos allí nos dieron un poco de focaccia mientras esperábamos la pasta. Después de esperar casi una hora y sin pasta, y viendo a la gente que venía tras nosotros, comiendo antes que nosotros, le pregunté al camarero (morena bajita) ¿por qué? Solo dijo: "Lo sé, lo sé. Si quieres puedes tomar fetichina es más rápido. " Así que reconoció su error sin siquiera tratar de disculparse. Le dije "no gracias, quiero pagar y salir" ya que tenía que estar en el policlínico en 10 minutos. Incluso si estaba desagradable con el resultado de no almorzar fui cortés con ella. Cuando fui a pagar, me saludó groseramente en la cara. Dije que quería pagar y ella dijo "adiós, es gratis, adiós" saludándome con la mano en la cara. Así que, básicamente si te gusta que te atienda gente grosera, inmadura y arrogante, ese es el lugar correcto para ir. Es una pena, ya que estaba planeando ir allí más.

01/04/2025: I don't understand how it has such good reviews, a totally guiris restaurant, the food was very poor, we ordered focaccia and they brought us a crust thinner than paper in the shape of a pizza with 3 slices of mortadella and 2 of burrata, the potato croquettes were frozen and from a bag, the waiters were clever and put on a very good face but they are not stupid at all, when we paid they didn't bring us the change, and they didn't want to bring it to us, after asking for it 3 times and waiting 20 minutes, while they acted crazy and looked at us out of the corner of their eyes, one indignantly deigned to bring the 7.5€ change, the tip is earned and if I want to leave it you bring me the change and then I decide whether to leave it or not. A bit of a struggle to clean up, they don't let you finish your meal in peace, all the time trying to clean up.

26/03/2025: Compliments to all the staff, always friendly and kind. I have been eating at Pizza e fichi for years and I recommend you try the carbonara made by them, it is delicious! In addition, the pizza is excellent, the fried foods too and above all the sweet cream/cannolo parcel is delicious!

01/04/2025: Siamo andati un venerdì sera con amici in questa “osteria di quartiere” e dobbiamo dire che non è male…anzi. Pochi piatti, eseguiti all’insegna della tradizione con porzioni abbondanti e di buona qualità. Ogni giorno viene offerto un menù diverso che si ripete, poi, la settimana successiva. Noi abbiamo preso la minestra di ceci e vongole, una carbonara, una amatriciana, moscardini e piselli e le scaloppine con il limone. Consigliamo le patatine a sfoglia fritte che ricordano quelle fatte in casa. Il prezzo è davvero adeguato al posto e alla qualità offerta. L’ambiente è informale e rilassato per trascorrere una piacevole serata in famiglia o con amici.La location non è delle migliori e sicuramente non si può fare una passeggiata usciti dal locale, ma consigliamo questo posto a chi ama una cucina tradizionale e autentica

13/02/2025: rispetto a pochi mesi fa i prezzi sono aumentati esageratamente, i piatti sono sempre all altezza ma abbiamo speso a testa 40 euro!!! mi sembra troppo! difficile che ci faremo rivedere
