04/06/2026: We had a wonderful dinner at Ristorante Romolo e Remo. Both the pasta dishes and the main courses were excellent. For the pasta, we ordered the Carbonara, Fettuccine al Ragù, and Gnocchi. Every dish was full of flavor and tasted amazing. As main courses, we chose the beef steak, Saltimbocca, and Involtini. The portions were very generous, so it’s worth keeping that in mind when ordering. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely visit again. If you’re in Rome, this restaurant is well worth a visit.

Professional, courteous staff, reasonable waiting times between courses, perfect portions, and, last but not least, absolutely fair prices make Cave Canem a restaurant worth returning to time and time again. The toilets were run-down and filthy. 11/06/2026: Amazing! We have been to fancy restaurants in Rome but La Fraschetta di Castel Sant'Angelo is better than all of them. We skipped one of our reservations just to come back. The food is full of taste, one of those experiences that make you be greatfull for being there. The service is so warm that feels like your grandma's home. 100/10

30/04/2026: 5⭐️ Trattoria Antico Falcone is another excellent spot — a really enjoyable dining experience overall. We started with the artichoke, which was good, though I’ve had better elsewhere. The broccoletti was decent, but definitely something you’ll appreciate more if you enjoy a broccoli/spinach-type flavor profile. For pasta, we had both the amatriciana and the carbonara — and both were absolutely delicious, full of flavor and done just right. The meatballs were also amazing — rich, tender, and a standout addition to the meal. We finished with tiramisu, which was a bit on the damp/wet side for my taste, but still very good and satisfying. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal here — great food, solid experience, and definitely worth a visit.

High-quality service and a pleasant indoor and outdoor atmosphere, with parking in the courtyard, are also highly recommended. Also highly recommended for special occasions.

10/05/2026: I happened upon this restaurant for lunch on Sunday. I can only compliment the kindness and courtesy of the staff, the divine food, and the truly enjoyable experience. I even had a dog with me, and they were very kind in choosing the most comfortable table. Highly recommended! PS: The best oxtail stew I've ever had!

09/06/2026: A small restaurant in a San Lorenzo Roma side street serving quality food in a mostly outdoor setting. The fillet steak was superb, tender, cooked to perfection and delicious, as were the calamari and risotto. The desserts were home baked and also delicious. The staff were friendly and the service good. The side street walls are covered in graffiti but the restaurant owners either side have done their best to mask it with pretty lights hanging around. Well recommended and value for money.

20/05/2026: This is still one of those authentic Roman places that doesn't lapse into folklore but maintains the values ​​of good cuisine in a simple yet authentic setting. Excellent food, with a special mention for the carbonara, certainly among the best in Rome. Portions that to call generous would be an understatement, and very fair prices! Unfortunately, I don't live nearby, but every time I'm in the area, I find an excuse to stop here. Open only for lunch, except Friday evenings and a few other exceptions. Reservations are highly recommended. Another kudos to the basic but attentive service.
