30/05/2025: Cute outside seating, service was prompt but unfortunately the food was below average. Pasta was not homemade, both pasta dishes tasteless, fried zucchini flowers tasteless except for the oil it was fried in. Would not recommend at all.

29/05/2025: We visited La Taverna dei Quaranta based on a recommendation. The restaurant initially impressed us with its beautiful location and truly pleasant atmosphere – you feel at home here. Unfortunately, our experience was very mixed: Food: The four-cheese pizza was a highlight – absolutely delicious! The pasta was okay, but the fish dish was disappointing: The fish itself was tasteless, and the potatoes were unfortunately burnt. A clear gap in quality. Service: There were significant differences in the staff. Two employees were friendly and accommodating, while two others seemed very unfriendly (rude) – this spoiled the evening. Prices: We found the prices too high for the quality offered (especially the fish). A place with potential due to its ambiance and pizza, but the wide fluctuations in food and service, as well as the price, mean we won't be back. If you want to try it, you should stick to the pizza for now.

06/06/2025: If you're looking for a traditional Italian restaurant that serves authentic Roman food, I highly recommend this place. I have dined here many times over the years, and the quality of the food and the wonderful atmosphere have consistently impressed me. Be sure to make a reservation for lunch or dinner, as they can get busy. They also have a few tables available outside.

02/06/2025: Gran lugar y personal fantástico. Nuestra nieta quería helado para el desierto y el camarero salió a un lugar de helado para conseguir un poco. el propietario era divertido y atractivo y sus propios vinos eran deliciosos.

Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and added a personal touch that made us feel like we were part of the family. Even though the food wasn't perfect, the overall experience was worth every penny. Would definitely come back for the ambiance and service alone! 4/5 stars

17/06/2025: Attirata da tante recensioni positive ho voluto provare con gli amici questo locale e devo dire che siamo rimasti tutti molto entusiasti, la qualità di quello che portano è indiscutibilmente alta, il personale gentilissimo perché abbiamo chiesto consiglio su cosa assaggiare e di portarci porzioni adeguate a poter assaggiare più piatti della loro cucina e siamo rimasti entusiasti. Personalmente, non essendo amante dei vini rossi, ho trovato il loro vino leggermente troppo forte, ma come ho detto, sono più amante dei vini bianchi e frizzanti. (abbiamo preso quello nero non solo perché ce lo hanno suggerito, ma perché essendo in gruppo la maggioranza gradiva quello) alla fine il conto più che onesto, considerando le varie cose che abbiamo assaggiato e la qualità dei prodotti stessi. Sicuramente, se vorrò fare bella figura con amici che mi vengono a trovare, tornerò in questo locale.

16/06/2025: Ho voluto portare qui degli amici che non sono del posto e devo dire che sono stati veramente bene. Ho apprezzato che non tendono a farti ordinare in modo eccessivo solo per vendere. La ragazza ci ha consigliato le porzioni giuste per arrivare a goderci bene i primi. Antipasti caldi e freddi veramente buoni, e anche i primi meritavano. Il conto veramente onesto.

12/06/2025: In my opinion the place is overrated. I have been there twice and both times the dishes were neither good nor bad. The first time I ate a variation of the grey (I honestly don't remember the details) that was floating in oil. I hope they didn't sweat the bacon in the oil!!! Lately I ate tagliolini with porcini mushrooms. Tasteless pasta, raw porcini mushrooms and oil at the bottom of the plate. Good appetizers instead. Fast service and very polite staff.

24/06/2025: Delicious food, really at a high level. There is nothing to find fault with, I have never had the opportunity to eat such a delicious Carbonara. Lasagne is also delicious. The waiter Alexis knows what he is doing, I have not experienced such nice service in any place for a long time. The drinks are great.

27/05/2025: I visited Ristorante (restaurant) that opened in 1860 near Via Veneto for dinner because it serves classic Roman cuisine. I made a reservation using Google Maps, but it didn’t matter if I didn’t. I was worried because I hadn’t looked up anything in advance, but the menu was compact and easy to order. However, since it’s in an expensive neighborhood, the prices were quite high. I ate a lot for lunch that morning, so I ordered just one antipasti and one pasta. I drank white wine to match the food, and since I was in Rome, I drank Lazio wine, which is typical of Rome. For the pairing, it was a daily wine made of Chardonnay with a touch of oak, so it went well overall. It was dry and mineral, so it went especially well with pasta. For the antipasti, I chose veal carpaccio, which is like secondo. I put arugula and pears on top of thin veal tenderloin without any fat, and as you can tell from the very simple visual, the taste was also light. Since it was veal and the part was tenderloin, the savory flavor and meatiness were a bit weak, but the texture was very soft, so the presence of arugula and pears was greatly felt. It would have been better if I had added a little pepper, but I just ate it. I tried vongole spaghetti for pasta, and it was surprisingly buttery. It was different from the vongole I knew before, which had a strong clam savory flavor and a spicy taste that stung my nose. Since it was spaghetti, the noodles absorbed the soup well enough to cover it, but it didn't leave my mouth feeling oily. I thought of carbonara with a little exaggeration, and it was clear that it didn't taste like the vongole I expected.

07/06/2025: All'Oro rappresenta una location di grande eleganza, un luogo decisamente adatto per occasioni speciali, il ristorante dona un'atmosfera raffinata, ma non troppo impegnativa. Il cibo servito è di incredibile qualità, i indimenticabili senza dubbio sono i gamberi alla amatriciana, il tiramisù di baccalà e i cappelletti in “brodo asciutto”, tutti con gusti decisi e ben bilanciati. Una cena che ci ha conquistati dall’inizio alla fine. Senza dubbio uno dei migliori ristoranti di Roma.
