24/05/2025: Exceptional pizza, we are regular customers, what can I say, everything is always excellent! The pizza cooked in a wood oven is truly exceptional!

18/05/2025: Sor Capanna is a historic trattoria/restaurant located in the heart of Castelgandolfo. Its location makes it one of a kind. Added to this is the kindness and efficiency of the owner and his staff. The pizza is excellent. And the first courses too. We haven't tried the rest yet but we'll be back because it's now one of our favorite places.

16/05/2025: Like staying at home, very familiar environment, Rita is fantastic. Very good food but very seasoned and heavy. If you want to eat real Roman it's worth it.

14/05/2025: Terrible experience! We went to the restaurant for lunch and after finishing at 1pm the waiting staff started saying that we had to get up and leave the table free several times, hinting that we had to hurry up and pay. When we got to the cashier and asked the very simple question of being able to make separate bills, the owner started laughing and then in an irritated manner stated that we had to hurry up and split the bill between us because we were blocking the entrance to the restaurant. We pointed out to him that he wasn't treating us well and that there was no point in speaking to us in that way in front of other customers. I really don't recommend it!

12/05/2025: The area is full of "tourist restaurants" but this place is an exception, it is a REAL Roman restaurant.

22/06/2025: Really beautiful place. Very attentive service. Really excellent food. Calm and relaxing atmosphere, difficult to find in Trastevere. Prices well below average for presentation and quality of food. Excellent wine list, very well-curated and with minimal markups to enjoy everything to the fullest including the wines. I will definitely return. Highly recommended.

18/06/2025: Ate outside for lunch. Food was subpar relative to most of the other trattorias we ate at in Rome, especially for the price. Service was fine but not particularly welcoming, again relative to other restaurants in the area

06/06/2025: Found this place by accident and was from far the best lunch special experience we had. Much appreciation to our waiter for recomanding us the best flavors & authentic traditional dish. Compliments to the chef!

06/06/2025: An enjoyable meal, with nice setting. The restaurant was recommend by a local so thought we would try it out. The small menu still had varied fresh options. The grill octopus was very tasty, however the meal could have been bigger with some carbs added something to the dish.

20/06/2025: I would except decent pasta anywhere in Italy but no - this place has really bad pasta, even though it is not turistic/ it is more local. We have eaten 10X better pasta at turistic places. Our recommendation is to skip it…

04/06/2025: Questo posto è fuori di testa. Vedo 3000 recensioni e sono quantomeno strane... Ho mangiato qui perché la mia ragazza ma non sono rimasto sorpreso dal risultato. Le polpette all'amatriciana sono di pietra. Non puoi mangiarle. La carbonara è così salata e il guanciale sono quasi inesistenti. La mia ragazza ha pagato il conto e io le ho chiesto di stare guardarlo. Davvero pessimo e costoso. Impossibile. Ultimo ma non meno importante: i camerieri e il proprietario non sono pronti per questo lavoro, punto.

01/06/2025: Delicious lunch, an appetizer with cheese and honey, 2 abundant and very good pasta dishes (the cacio e pepe was excellent), ricotta mousse and pear and chocolate tart + water and a bottle of wine for about €35 per person (a little less). Polite and friendly owners and staff. Recommended

31/05/2025: Typical Roman restaurant in the heart of Pigneto, absolutely recommended. I recommend the bruschetta with chicken liver paté as an appetizer, one of the best appetizers I've ever eaten. The carbonara also deserves a special mention, not to mention the homemade desserts. A must try!

26/05/2025: The indoor part is really small, there will be thirty seats in total, so it is always a good idea to book. The portions are huge and delicious, it is a typical Roman trattoria.
