06/09/2025: Great meal. Service was very observant and for all of the Michelin restaurants I have been to, I would say this restaurant has Michelin service. Would recommend on this factor alone. I liked the majority of food, and left very full.

01/09/2025: Inventive menu where every dish surprises the palette. The copious number of amuse-bouche offerings shower the table from beginning to end. Staff are warm, friendly and helpful. The lower level room with dark decor and accent lighting is both playful and elegant.

02/09/2025: View is nice and waiters are nice and speak good English. However food is simply awful. Lobster pasta was overcooked, sauce didn't taste good and lobster had a texture of an old car tire. And that's for 27€. They also charge 3€ for 4 small pieces of bread which they just drop on your table in a paper bag without offering oil or anything. Terrace is also full of mosquitos and they don't use any sort of repellents.

28/08/2025: I discovered this restaurant by chance while browsing the internet. I was immediately intrigued by the menu, and I decided to book. It turned out to be a truly charming place, with its terrace overlooking the Trastevere buildings. The food was excellent, a mix of Sicilian and Roman dishes. The staff was very friendly, and the owner was very nice. I highly recommend it.

14/09/2025: Spectacular food. The place is cozy and the waitresses too. The son of one of them is very cute and funny. 17/08/2025: What a shame to lose stars for not updating your Google My Business account. It's August 17th, 8 PM, and we've been eyeing your establishment for several weeks. And how disappointed we are to see it closed when your Google page lists it as open until 11 PM. What a shame.

16/08/2025: The food was very tasty. Simple, with very good ingredients. We waited a long time to order—about 20 minutes for drinks. The prices are a bit high, but worth it.

21/09/2025: Right at the top of the Spanish Steps, this spot is quite hidden but offers great food. The ravioli with guanciale and black truffle was great, and it was a quiet, elegant and low-stress experience. I would come here again in a heartbeat.

06/09/2025: My experience was through Wonderbox. The phone reservation was a bit confusing, but they were very kind in making the exception of accommodating us on the weekend, just a few days in advance. I expected the restaurant to be more refined and unique given the location, but instead it felt like a tourist inn. The menu was obviously limited for us, with no option to swap an appetizer for a simple salad: the exception was declined. Okay, but we left almost everything: hard mozzarella, sour burrata (we had it checked and they said everything was fine, but it still wasn't good), dry bread, gricia (ditto), and good pasta with tomato sauce. The staff member was very kind and offered us dessert to make up for the appetizer, but unfortunately, I didn't like the chocolate cake. A note about the restrooms: clean and simple, it seems like there's only one since the employees also use it. We chose this restaurant because we wouldn't have been able to afford it otherwise given the prices on the menu, but it still wouldn't have been worth it.

03/09/2025: Excellent restaurant with an affordable menu but also delicious à la carte dishes. A good wine list. The octopus was fantastic. The sea bass was perfect. The service was very good and friendly. A courtesy note on the house for the payment. The second time we ate here, the food was excellent again! The wine recommendation was perfect!

20/07/2025: Everything was perfect. The carbonara was among the best in Rome (as was the gricia my girlfriend had). The oxtail stew was delicious; the meat melted in your mouth, and the soffritto made it incredibly flavorful. Bonelli, a guarantee of quality and value!

17/09/2025: Very home'y interior, fantastic and friendly service. Carbonara was spot on, tiramisu was melt in your mouth delicious and the pizza was the best we had in Rome (albeit just one week here). Not sure about the coffee, ordered it twice to be sure :P

03/09/2025: I've eaten there many times, almost always for lunch. I think it's a great place to eat, and the staff is very friendly without being intrusive or overbearing. The portions are generous, and the flavors are bold. The menu has just the right variety, allowing you to do things well but still have a variety of choices. I won't say "I would go back" because I know I definitely will. In my opinion, it's the best restaurant/osteria in Monteverde.

03/09/2025: Loved this place! It was recommended by a friend who had met the owner back in the US over 20 years ago. It’s family owned & operated…tucked away from the crowds! The meal was absolutely fantastic. From the wine, to the lamb & pasta and the tiramisu, it was magnificent. A true gem!

07/08/2025: I went to this restaurant on Monday, June 23, 2025, around 1:30 PM with the intention of having lunch. The entrance was locked, but I could hear voices chatting inside. I tried knocking and calling, and I could hear the phone ringing, but no one answered. There was no sign saying the restaurant was closed, just a notice that they're closed on Sundays. If this is the level of attention they give to their customers, I can imagine the care they put into their cooking. I won't go back, not even under torture. I have no reason to say something untrue, because I walked from St. Peter's in the heat to come and eat, and the door was locked. I tried opening it, knocking, and calling. This is rude.

08/08/2025: I often go to La Tana della Volpe, and it's always a sure thing! The risotto is spectacular, the sconcigli cream is unique, and the fried fish is always crispy. The oysters and fresh fish are also excellent, cooked to perfection. The place is beautiful, with an outdoor area, and the service is fast and friendly. The food is good.
