10/06/2026: I had a really great time at Palmira, with all the traditional Roman dishes, the real deal. The wine was good, and the carbonara was excellent, creamy and flavorful, just as Rome demands. The host also welcomed me warmly and genuinely, making me feel at home. A place I'd love to return to.

09/06/2026: We arrived at 7pm. The restaurant was relatively busy but we were virtually ignored. Our first course was really tasty. However, they left our plates for a half hour while serving those around us. Our waiter disappeared and no one checked on us again. We had to request the removal of our plates. Our second was served and no one ever came back. My mother ordered calamari and shrimp. She likes a sauce and we never got one. The waiter explained that it was new staff and offered us a tiramisu. It was wonderful. The experience was disappointing but I would give them another try.

17/05/2026: This restaurant has a lovely, simple, and homey atmosphere. The waiters are friendly and approachable. We loved all the dishes—starters, main courses, and desserts. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. The moka pot coffee at the end was a real treat.
It's definitely worth a visit, and I'll definitely be back.
16/05/2026: Simple restaurant, but with very good food at a good price. Friendly staff. We spontaneously got a table for dinner.

15/05/2026: It was our first dinner in Italy. I had very high expectations.
We ordered polpetine as a starter and pasta de plat as a main course. The sauce on the polpetine was superb. The carbonara was the best I've ever had; I was so full I couldn't have dessert, but I would have loved to try something else they offered. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

Beyond the excellent quality of the ingredients, the rare mastery of the preparation, and the friendly, courteous service, here you can finally rediscover the authentic flavors of Roman cuisine of the past. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED is an understatement: it's a must-visit, and even though it's a little out of the way, you'll definitely come here. Then you'll tell me...

04/04/2026: A school group looking for a good restaurant on the last night of their trip, we went into Hostaria Bruno and received a wonderful welcome. Excellent homemade food, attentive service. A little French, a little English, a little Italian—it was easy to communicate. We all had a great time. Absolutely delicious!

15/05/2026: The carbonara was delicious!! So good that both my boyfriend and I had seconds.
Kindness and humanity are hallmarks of this restaurant: I forgot my wallet on the chair, and they were incredibly kind and went out of their way to find me. Once they got in touch, they were super helpful in getting it back to me in Como (I'm from Como). A special thank you!
14/05/2026: The Caprese salad, a fairly standard dish, was bad. The tomatoes weren't ripe and the mozzarella was rubbery.
Then I had the minestrone soup: overcooked. The vegetables were mushy. My partner ordered pasta with anchovies, which was okay, nothing special.
The tables are tiny; we even spilled an entire glass of wine and weren't offered another. Based on the Goo rating, I think this restaurant is overrated.

21/05/2026: My wife and I stumbled upon this place by chance while looking for somewhere to eat, and it was the best place we ate during our vacation. The food was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They even offered us a couple of complimentary glasses of Limoncello. Highly recommended!
20/05/2026: Large portions. Surprisingly American sized. Oddly, during a 5-week trip to southern Europe, this was the only place where the server bluntly asked for a tip.

They've now expanded the space and it's even more comfortable.
07/06/2026: We discovered this little restaurant not far from our accommodation and it was so perfect that we went twice!
Warm service, delicious and generous portions, not to mention exceptional value for money!
And let's not forget the complimentary glass of wine at the end of the meal, which is always a lovely touch!
If Alessandro is your server, you'll have an unforgettable evening!
I highly recommend it; it's an amazing place and, what's more, not too touristy!

25/04/2026: We waited 1h30 they didn’t served us the main course . No explanation from the service just like « sorry ». The tuna tartare wasn’t even fresh . Waiting 1h30 in half empty restaurant with waiters not even doing something is scandalous. Expensive for no reason I don’t recommend at all it’s totally disrespectful for a « « fancy » » place.

18/05/2026: We had pasta carbonara, pasta with ragù, and saltimbocca with artichokes. Everything was delicious. Both the red and sparkling white wines were excellent. We finished with a delicious millefeuille. The waiter was very kind. We had a great time. We'll be back.
17/05/2026: A great spot! We really enjoyed the lasagna and carpaccio, but the tomato soup was the absolute highlight. The restaurant was completely full, yet they still accommodated us, which we really appreciated.

02/06/2026: We (tourists from Austria) were here for dinner. To remain neutral, the food was good, but the terrible service ruined the experience. The woman who served us had a problem with us because we were foreigners. She was absolutely disrespectful, practically throwing the food on the table and leaving. The dishes we ordered arrived haphazardly; my partner had to wait ages for her food while I had already finished, and the salad, which was meant to be an appetizer, arrived last. No "crazie," no "prego," nothing at all, as if we were dirty garbage. Foreigners who aren't Italian should stay away from this dump.
25/05/2026: Dinner with a colleague. We had a good time, but we would have preferred more attentive service. The glass had something inside it, and the plant on the table was dusty. The meat and first course were excellent, and the portions were just right. The sliced steak was very tender and well-seasoned. The only flaw with the food was the lack of bread, which I would have appreciated with meat. Overall, the experience was positive, and the quality/price ratio was fair.
