07/06/2026: Without a doubt, this was the best meal we had during our entire stay in Rome, and that’s coming from someone who is not easily impressed when it comes to food and dining experiences. I tend to be a very tough critic and pay close attention to every detail, from the quality of the food to the service, atmosphere, and overall value. It’s rare for a restaurant to exceed my expectations across the board, but this place managed to do exactly that. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The welcome was warm and genuine, the staff were attentive without being intrusive, and there was an immediate sense that we had stumbled upon somewhere special. The atmosphere felt authentic and relaxed, a refreshing contrast to many of the tourist-focused restaurants found throughout the city center. The food itself was exceptional. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. You could tell that great care and pride went into every plate that left the kitchen. Each course seemed better than the last, and every bite reminded us why Italy is famous for its culinary traditions. Nothing felt rushed, mass-produced, or designed simply for tourists. Instead, it felt like a true Roman dining experience, the kind that travelers hope to discover but rarely do. What makes this restaurant so special is that it requires you to step away from the obvious tourist areas. Too many visitors stay within the well-known parts of Rome and end up eating at restaurants that cater primarily to tourists rather than focusing on authentic cuisine. Taking the time to venture beyond those tourist traps led us to this remarkable hidden gem, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Rome is filled with restaurants, cafés, and trattorias, making it difficult to know where to eat. After several meals around the city, this was the one that stood out above all the others. The combination of outstanding food, excellent service, welcoming atmosphere, and authentic local character created a truly memorable experience. As someone who is genuinely difficult to impress, I can honestly say that every aspect of this meal exceeded expectations. If you are visiting Rome and want a dining experience that captures everything great about Italian hospitality and cuisine, make the effort to seek out this remarkable restaurant. It was the clear standout of our trip and a place we would happily return to again and again. Highly recommended.

19/05/2026: Super authentic and delicious Roman cuisine!! The Amatriciana pasta, carbonara, and oxtail stew were all delicious. You need to make a reservation otherwise there’ll be a long wait!

16/02/2026: We happened upon this restaurant after a visit to the Roman Colosseum, Colosseum was very crowded, as we were very hungry and wanted to have lunch. The restaurant is charming and the waiters, the owner are very friendly. They speak English and Spanish. The pasta was excellent. I had the pasta with fish ( Tagliolini with cherry tomatoes and sea bass) something you would rarely find in the USA. My wife had the Gnocchetti ( don’t confuse with gnocchi) a coda di sore an all’ Amatriciana. That pasta was delicious and worth cleaning the plate with bread. If you are by the Roman Colosseum stop and eat a good meal at a friendly Italian restaurant near by.

10/05/2026: We arrived without a reservation, as the inside of the restaurant was completely empty we thought a walk-in would be no problem. As we entered we were asked about our reservation, when I said we had none we were told all the tables were booked. When I pointed to the empty tables we were shown to a table by the entrance – not a great start! However, after the initial confusion the staff were really friendly and helpful. The menu is not the same was we saw on the Google reviews but we were looking for the proper Carbonara which we knew they served. The food was excellent, and well priced. We were there just over an hour and only 4 people had turned up for the reserved tables! We’d would go here again but I’d suggest having a reservation as it seems to be a thing

14/05/2026: Two friends and I had lunch at this typical osteria, and I must say we ate divinely, especially the mezze maniche alla carbonara, which was simply exquisite. Excellent service and price, as well as the owner's friendliness... very, very good.

12/05/2026: This restaurant made me feel right at home in Rome. The female owner and servers were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they all had a distinctly Italian sense of humor. TLDR: You absolutely must try this place in Rome! All the pasta dishes are delicious, and I highly recommend the appetizer Parma ham with Jewish-style atichoke. This restaurant was recommended by the manager of our accommodation. On our first day, we ordered what I believe to be their signature carbonara, rigatoni all’ amatricana, Roman-style veal brisket, and an octopus and artichoke salad. I wasn't feeling too well that day, but I still finished everything (because it was so delicious and I didn't want to waste any). The owner even treated us to gelato (it wasn't included in the bill, but after we told her, she said, "Dessert on me!" 🫶) Since we were only staying in Rome for two days, one reason was that we didn't want to end our trip with disappointing food, and the second reason was that we couldn't forget this restaurant. The next day, the owner and the waiter from the previous day remembered us. This time, we ordered a different pasta dish – Fettuccine alla gricia (it had fava beans, but it was delicious), Parma ham with artichoke as an appetizer, a steak, and pudding for dessert. 🍮 I hadn't tried artichokes much in Taiwan; they're supposedly a signature dish in Rome, and I've heard they're very nutritious. Personally, I liked the taste. The restaurant had a very homey atmosphere, and you could tell it was a popular spot for locals. The waiters and owner were very welcoming yet polite. While the reason I remember it so fondly is that I didn't have a satisfactory pasta meal during my trip to Italy, the experience from the moment I entered until I left was unforgettable. It was the best food I had in Italy, but the experience offered was definitely more than just delicious food. I hope you'll have the same experience when you dine here.

10/05/2026: Perfect lunch! I've never had better Jewish-style artichokes, and even the wedges were special! The pasta was perfectly cooked, not to mention the flavor. Between the cacio e pepe, amatriciana, and maltagliati with artichokes, I couldn't choose the best. The tripe was made just like my grandmother used to make. We were speechless. The staff was very kind and helpful! We'll definitely be back!!

18/05/2026: Had an amazing dinner. Service was excellent- no rush at all. Loved the atmosphere- surrounded by wine bottles and soft lighting. We had the land tasting menu. So many delicious bites of food. From the appetizers to the pre, dessert, and post-desserts, everything was perfect. And we were stuffed after enjoying this 2+ hour experience.
