If you want to eat authentic Roman cuisine in the center of Rome, this is the place to be. Professional, courteous staff, reasonable waiting times between courses, perfect portions, and, last but not least, absolutely fair prices make Cave Canem a restaurant worth returning to time and time again. Excellent

I enjoyed a delightful Sunday lunch during my stay at this wonderful trattoria! Very local, it feels like a true Roman experience! We chose the classic Matriciana and Carbonara... try it and believe it! The staff was very friendly, and the owner was attentive and welcoming... great prices!

Returned after a few months and can confirm that it's my favorite trattoria in Trastevere. The carbonara is delicious, the saltimbocca is tender, and the pizza is always delicious. Fantastic staff. I recommend it.

Amazing place to eat! My friends and I went to Trastevere and stopped there for dinner. We couldn't get a table outside because it was packed, but we ate inside and it was great. The food is excellent, so delicious. They have a wide variety of options. I recommend ordering the tiramisu for dessert, because as a friend said, it's like having a cloud in your mouth 😂 so good, one of the best I've ever had. The service is also very good!! I highly recommend going.

We had some good pizzas, and the cacio e pepe pasta was the best we've had in Trastevere, and the prices were fair. As a Venetian, I highly recommend it...

04/06/2026: We had a wonderful dinner at Ristorante Romolo e Remo. Both the pasta dishes and the main courses were excellent. For the pasta, we ordered the Carbonara, Fettuccine al Ragù, and Gnocchi. Every dish was full of flavor and tasted amazing. As main courses, we chose the beef steak, Saltimbocca, and Involtini. The portions were very generous, so it’s worth keeping that in mind when ordering. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely visit again. If you’re in Rome, this restaurant is well worth a visit.
03/06/2026: Everything was quite good, even if a little "heavy" (a lot of seasoning on almost everything).
