05/03/2025: Very good little restaurant in the heart of the Trullis district. At the beginning of March we booked and we did well because it was full. We took the antipasti to share. A round of cold then hot starters. We didn't manage to eat a dish as it was so plentiful. Just a little tiramisu that was delicious!

02/03/2025: Awesome Place with interesting food. They took me at a very late hour, and I ate octopus on a vegetables bed, and a 'cardoncello' mushroom with herbs... Awesome and thoughtful cooking. If not for an inexperienced waiter, too eager to take out my dishes, and in general not very welcoming, everything was perfect and exceeded expectations.

28/02/2025: The restaurant won us over with its welcoming atmosphere and impeccable service. The orecchiette were delicious, perfectly al dente and full of flavour. An authentic experience that we recommend to everyone!

24/03/2025: Disappointment. The style has changed both in the service and in the dishes. The focaccia and bread tasted like a day gone by, the first was loose and the meat was not cooked well but thrown on the flame. Price not appropriate.

23/03/2025: Location molto curata, anche il bagno pulitissimo e accurato. Purtroppo al nostro arrivo ci vengono comunicate alcune modifiche al menu, per cui la scelta era ridotta. Mi aspettavo una scelta di primi di pesce più avvincente data la nomina positiva del posto. Primi di qualità e abbondanti. Frittura altrettanto ma porzione minima rispetto al prezzo. Il vino ci è stato servito senza chiederci di assaggiarlo. Maître di sala poco accogliente, a tal punto da farci percepire di essere di disturbo. Sicuramente complimenti allo chef, tutto molto buono ma rispetto alle aspettative non ci tornerei perché non mi sentirei accolta né mi ha trasmesso nulla di particolare per cui ritornarci abitualmente.

01/03/2025: Se cercate un’autentica esperienza culinaria pugliese, questa osteria è il posto perfetto! L’atmosfera è calda e accogliente, con un servizio attento e cordiale che ti fa sentire subito a casa. Il menù è un viaggio nei sapori della Puglia: orecchiette fatte a mano, burrata freschissima, bombette succulente e una selezione di vini locali eccellente. Ogni piatto è preparato con ingredienti genuini e di alta qualità, rispettando la tradizione. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è ottimo. Assolutamente consigliato per chi vuole gustare la vera cucina pugliese in un ambiente familiare e autentico!

11/09/2024: It's not possible to put more stars, damn.... We have been holidaying in Salento for 7 years and Mr. Jameson is a must... it wouldn't be a holiday otherwise! The place that started out with a very "Irish pub" style with wood everywhere (which I absolutely loved), after the pandemic underwent renovations that lightened and refreshed its appearance. The food, however, has remained the same... excellent, plentiful and refined. They offer typical dishes from Salento but with that extra note that makes them excel over every other restaurant. The service is impeccable, with an elegant simplicity that is the envy of the most beautiful tables.... well, if you haven't been there yet, what are you waiting for? MOVE!!!! Everyone at "Jameson"!!!

23/03/2025: Pranzo domenicale in famiglia. Abbiamo preso qualche antipasto ed un primo a ciascuno. In particolare ho apprezzato molto la carbonera piatto gradevole e ben bilanciato. Il resto al limite dell commestibilità. I due piatti di pasta fatta in casa con tonno e bottarga rimandata indietro perché non era commestibile. Paparine pessime. Il resto molto mediocre. Non lo consiglio !

03/03/2025: In Trani to train, in Trani to taste. The place was recommended to us by a friend on a diet, who does not give up good food when invited. At the end of the commitments, the direction was now decided. The city center was the destination. Once we reached the Taverna Portanova, we had some slight difficulty finding parking. The location features stone walls and a wooden ceiling. On the back wall a reproduction of the ancient city of Trani which, overall, gives the impression of entering a place from another era. Welcoming and seated, we asked for further information on what was on the menu. The reading had tickled the idea of ​​Paella, but it would have been better to warn beforehand. Paella preparation times are not suitable for those whose time is limited. We opt for a mixed starter “Portanova”. Catalan-style prawns, browned octopus salad with potatoes, fried calamari, morsels of mozzarella and ricotta, tuna tartare with caper tips, white parmigiana with freshly grilled aubergines, not classically fried. Accompanied by the inevitable basket of bread and taralli. Delightful! First we enjoyed troccoli with seafood and cavatelli with monkfish, rocket and cherry tomatoes. Accustomed to shared tasting, to my palate, the latter had an edge. Nice experience, definitely recommended.

25/02/2025: We wanted to eat something specific and called to ask if they had it.. "of course we have it" we make the trip, and turns out the dumb waiter decided to lie to us, it was actually not available......... It was late and we had to stay.....

02/03/2025: An elegant and refined place where you easily feel at home, very friendly and kind waiters and owner. they also took care of our labrador by bringing her water and making her feel calm and comfortable in a more private place for us. and what about the food, Excellent! excellent quality all prepared at the time of order so really fresh and made with care and above all modern in appearance but with genuine taste! highly recommended

19/01/2025: Although the food was good (not great) and the environment was welcoming, the service was somewhat poor and the costs were high. 1. We were immediately surprised by the absence of a tablecloth, with the dishes directly on the table...it seemed unhygienic to us. 2.We asked for a toothpick and after multiple requests they told us that they were finished. 3. While we were chatting among the diners, after enjoying the first course, the owner approached the table, interrupting our conversation, asking: "so, do you want to order dessert?"...arbitrarily assuming that we would have skipped the second course. 4. I asked for a coffee with sambuca, but they didn't have sambuca. 5. At the time of the bill, they presented us with the advance bill with a discount marked in pen of 1.5 euros (on a sum of over 200.00 euros). 6. To conclude, at the time of payment and at my request, they gave us a partial receipt, with only a part of the total (which we only realized when we returned home). It seemed to us like a homely trattoria that aspires with image and costs to become a starred restaurant. 100% not recommended
