Osteria degli Spiriti In Lecce

The food had some wonderful touches and the sauces were excellent; however, the execution compromised the overall quality (both our orchiette and filet were overcooked). On its day this is probably an excellent osteria but for us it was just a bit above average.

Thanks to the Ristoranti d’Italia guide for the discovery. It was wonderful! First of all, the service was marvelous and so warm (I wanted to hug them when I left). Then, the food was delicious: the starter was divine: "Homemade orecchiette pasta, white lamb ragù, and caciocavallo cheese." The main course was also excellent: "Salento beef rolls, stuffed with celery, carrot, provola cheese, and mortadella, rolled and cooked in a tomato sauce." The tiramisu was a very nice ending. A good glass of Negroamaro to accompany it all. Several small rooms, so it wasn't noisy at all. Go there!

Quality traditional cuisine in a relaxed and elegant setting. Excellent ingredients are enhanced by refined balances...with excellent value.

Several rooms allow for a fairly intimate atmosphere. Pleasant setting. The locally inspired dishes are good. The focaccia served as a petit four is delicious. Pair it with a local wine. The small arancini served with the crispy appetizers are also delicious.

The first day with VIACONME was rainy, but Laura fixed everything. This restaurant was peaceful and harmonious, with great service and excellent food. 🥰🇮🇹

When I think of a true Lecce food and wine icon, I think of Osteria degli Spiriti. An extraordinary place where we enjoyed a truly peaceful and relaxing experience, accompanied by wonderfully crafted dishes that tantalized the taste buds. The owner, Piero, is the host par excellence. He sets the pace and guides diners in the best choices. A true pinnacle of dining.

Excellent food and very friendly, attentive yet discreet service. The place is well-maintained yet comfortable. The menu features carefully selected local dishes, carefully prepared. We had a pleasant evening. I highly recommend it; we hope to return!

We discovered this place completely by chance in 2023 and we return every time we go back to Italy. It's a place with a delicate and unpretentious atmosphere, but with typical cuisine prepared daily by the owner's wife. The dishes are delicious, and the owner, who also manages the service, is a discreet and kind person. Don't hesitate to ask about the daily special and wine recommendations! Osteria degli Spiriti offers generous, flavorful, and refined cuisine. I recommend it to all French people visiting Lecce for their holidays if they want to discover good, typical dishes like fave e cicorie, sugo e polpette, and fresh pasta, not to mention the desserts—a real delight!
