Osteria Le Arpie In Bari

I went to this restaurant for dinner this summer with my wife and daughter. My daughter is still small and needs a high chair, which wasn't available, but the waiter immediately provided us with a cushion to raise her seat. We ordered a platter of seafood cured meats, which were very good and very flavorful. They were also accompanied by cherry tomatoes, dried tomatoes, toasted bread, burrata, and two condiments. We continued with a plate of tiedda barese (rice, potatoes, and mussels). I wasn't very satisfied. The mussels were few and not very full, and there were a lot of potatoes. Overall, it was good, but I wouldn't return. We also tried the bombette, which were very good and tender. To finish, I ordered a local olive-based amaro and some "sporca mussu," warm puff pastry pastries filled with cream and dusted with powdered sugar and cocoa. Very delicate and truly delicious. The waiters were very helpful and kind. On a negative note, there's a fan outside for the diners. It's a shame that both the staff and tourists stand in front of it and smoke, blowing it onto the tables, which isn't exactly a good thing considering my young daughter was there. Overall, it was a positive experience, but it was average.

A perfect little lovely place in the old town where you can eat home made fresh dishes. They have a small menu, which is a good sign and the food is delicious. I strongly recommend this place. They also have tables outside. Inside it is small, but that gives the place the charm. We ordered pasta dishes as first course, and meat dishes as 2nd. Firstly I was sceptic, because often in the old towns (lots of tourists) there are restaurants which are tourist traps, but here that is definitely not the case! (I trusted the google reviews ;))

Osteria in the heart of Bari Vecchia. It has tables outside (under an archway) and also inside (if it's hot, it's better to sit outside because although they supposedly have air conditioning, it's barely noticeable). The service is friendly and fast. They serve typical Bari dishes like tiella and orecchiette; they were good, and the price is reasonable considering it's in Bari Vecchia.

We were greeted with professionalism and friendliness despite not showing up for a table. The four of us enjoyed truly excellent traditional Apulian first courses. The cavatelli and orecchiette were delicious.

The food is good for 4, but the service is included in the bill (lunch for two is 36 euros + 6 euros service), and they also ask for a tip (when paying by card they ask if we will leave a tip for a certain amount).

The best osteria in Bari. The food is delicious and the portions are perfect. The service is very professional and friendly. What's important to me is a classic atmosphere where you can eat slowly and feel good. I'll be back.
