17/03/2024: Very nice place, not far from the sea. Quality food, predominantly seafood menu (it fits...), the only negative note is the slowness of the service. The kitchen probably can't handle all those places, a shame because the place is really beautiful. Medium/high prices but it's ok, nothing to say.

07/04/2024: One of our worst restaurant experiences in all of our long travel lifetime, terrible organization, bad food, crappy wine and the worst customer service on the planet. First: my wife has fatal allergies to dairy and pork protein, it is somewhat hard to find restaurants where she can eat but we thought this would be one. So she ordered mushrooms, polenta and fries and I tried the 'fresh' scampi spaghettone. The spaghettone and the fries came, scampi were from the freezer (even if you put SOME efford into your kitchen, you can get fresh scampi on the market in Bari every day). 'Housewine' was the cheapest supermarket booze. My wife was waiting for her meals for over an hour, they never came (they obviously had served it to other costumers). Finally we decided to pay and leave, they had added her meals (which they had not served) on the bill. Long discussion as the restaurant refused to accept that my wife had not received her order. Finally they took those items from the check. No apologies, no 'scusi', nothing. When I told them (absolutely calmly) after I had paid, I would write according reviews, the owner became super angry and told us to leave. P.s.: the fact, that the owner lied in his response and wanted me to delete my review later on as he wrote this wasn't his restaurant tells everything about this place. My review IS about L'Osteria del Borgo Antico. We have been there on April 1st 2024 about 9 p.m. .

09/03/2024: Ci siamo arrivati su imbeccata di un amico ma esprimo un parere tiepido in quanto sia l'accoglienza e sia i cibi non spiccavano per una eccellenza. Accolti in maniera se non fredda, diciamo fresca, anche se il personale è stato educato. Il titolare parecchio assente tra i commensali e non guasterebbe a mantenere un rapporto caldo con gli stessi. Il cibo di pesce nella norma e antipasto di polpo piuttosto anonimo. Buon vino foggiano. La location è molto carina. Il tutto ci può stare senza eccessivi entusiasmi. Direi sufficiente

11/05/2024: The seafood pasta was very good (the sauce had a lot of flavor) but the tiramisu was a disaster (biscuit full of water, the mascarpone compact, it was really industrial and bad). It’s a shame because it leaves a bad taste. Excellent service and servers. The prices are not expensive (dishes <14€).

16/02/2024: Siamo stati a pranzo per festeggiare il compleanno di una ns cara amica; bella la location; il menù era composto da antipasti vari, a seguire un primo a scelta e per concludere un'assaggio di grigliata mista; da bere oltre ad acqua, vino e prosecco; è stato tutto di ns gradimento, gentilissimo il personale; non posso esprimere un giudizio sul conto perché ero ospite.

26/01/2024: Forse meritava 3 stelle, ma la gentilezza e la qualità del servizio mi hanno convinto a darne 4. Antipasto capocollo e burratine normale. Pappardelle ai porcini a 15€ e strascinati al pomodoro e ricotta grattugiata a 13 € sono prezzi Milanesi e non Pugliesi in bassa stagione. La grigliata di carne (salsiccia bombette e capocollo) piuttosto insapore (sembrava lessata più che grigliata). Buono il Susamaniello di De Castris, ma 24 € implicano un ricarico non trascurabile. Conto finale di 50 € a testa (mezzo antipasto 1 primo ed 1 secondo + bottiglia di vino in 2) é un prezzo non ho mai pagato in Puglia. Secondo me la Velle d'Itria si é montata la testa e se ne sta approfittando. Non credo sia una politica lungimirante

06/04/2024: Restaurant located in a fantastic place among the olive trees. You can breathe fresh, clean air. The staff is friendly and helpful always welcomes you. The toilets are clean. We spent some time eating and chatting peacefully.

07/04/2024: Despite a beautiful decor, the quality of the dishes is not up to par.... Overcooked meats, uncooked vegetables and barely cooked.... the whole thing is disappointing and the wait is quite long.

02/04/2024: the location is wonderful, a very suggestive old oil mill, shame about some trompe l'oeil of dubious taste. helpful and kind staff honest price and good value for money the house starter is exceptional just a piece of advice, if I may, don't open at 8.15-8.20pm, give those who want to dine earlier or have children the opportunity to eat at 7.30pm too

09/12/2023: Per il ponte dell' Immacolata siamo venuti nella Valle d'Itria ed abbiamo approfittato per fare anche un salto a Polignano a mare . Girando nel centro storico ci siamo imbattuti in questo grazioso ristorante. Prima ancora di controllare su TripAdvisor, è stato amore a prima vista e così abbiamo prenotato immediatamente. Comincio dal personale di sala e dal proprietario, gentilissimi ed affabili che non è mai cosa scontata! Chiaramente abbiamo optato per alcuni piatti tipici quali riso patate e cozze in terrina, fave e cicoria, polpo arrosto.Il tutto accompagnato da una bottiglia di Verdeca di Paolo Leo. Porzioni abbondanti e cucinate benissimo. Ambiente piccolo ,caldo ed accogliente. Lo consiglio vivamente! Ed infine il conto: prezzi contenuti tenendo presente anche il posto. Da tornare sicuramente!

29/10/2023: Cena perfetta. Camerieri molto gentili e premurosi. Ingredienti di qualità. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, il classico riso patate e cozze buonissimo. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Entusiasti lo consigliamo a tutti.
