15/10/2025: The trattoria is traditional, small, and very welcoming, spread across two levels. The atmosphere is pleasant, although it seems the place is perhaps geared more toward foreigners. The dishes are carefully prepared and tasty, honest, but (perhaps with the exception of a few dishes) they don't impress with an explosion of flavors, despite maintaining a solid, traditional approach to cuisine. The cover charge (€1.00) is fair and in line with the type of service offered. The Antipasto della Casa (which was presented to us as a portion for two) was a bit disappointing: we didn't find a good balance between the price and the variety/quantity of the dishes. This could be an unfortunate exception due to the evening or our table, but it's an aspect that needs reconsidering.

14/10/2025: Our favourite trattoria in Lecce! Would highly recommend reserving a table because you would be extremely disappointed to miss out eating here! Always remember to ask what Nonna's fantasy is, we got extremely lucky and had a lobster pasta which was delicious.

27/11/2025: Wonderful experience. The location is a hymn to true and authentic Puglia, with wicker baskets, olive trees and figs everywhere, surrounded by the tranquility of the surrounding countryside and yet with the sea clearly visible in the distance. Good choice of wines and I really found the idea of ​​offering the. Mixed menu: meat and fish, to highlight the variety of Puglian cuisine, excellent. A truly satisfying experience, not only for the palate but also for the emotional warmth of the landscape. A little expensive in my opinion perhaps. But nothing else to say.

23/11/2025: The restaurant was passable. The cuisine was dated and not particularly appealing. The pizza wasn't exceptional. We were in the dining room with music. In the end, the company saved the evening. The prices weren't particularly cheap.

06/05/2025: Si mangia bene pur senza eccessi che comunque non troverete in nessuna trattoria della zona. Ottime le orecchiette e il vino della casa, la grigliata un po' meno. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ci tornerei anche perché in zona non c'è di meglio.

14/09/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance, looking for a pizzeria on a Saturday night, and I must say there was room, unlike other very busy pizzerias! We dined outside under the patios, very welcoming and relaxing! When we go out for dinner, we prefer to eat pizza, and looking at the online menu and the photos, I chose a vegetarian one! It didn't have much in common with the photo, and the zucchini, the only vegetable, were raw and unseasoned!! But what does it take to make a vegetarian pizza tastier? A little toppings, some breadcrumbs, and freshly cooked vegetables before baking or not? Well, I hope this review, if read, will be a piece of advice for the pizza chef or chef!

02/08/2025: Location da togliere il fiato, pace e tranquillità, nonostante la pioggia e l'allestimento invernale interno ci siamo goduti la serata fra il buon cibo di una volta, ottimo vino e una coinvolgente spiegazione della storia della Masseria da parte di Chiara che ringraziamo. Torneremo sicuramente :)

31/07/2025: Semplicemente Sublime, ti senti parte di un contesto storico e rurale che ti fa' rivivere la vita di un tempo purtroppo passato. Sentirsi accolti dalla Masseria è un dono, rivivere l'atmosfera semplice, umile e sana che respiri ti fa' percepire che la Masseria si prende cura di te stesso. Grazie ❤️

10/12/2025: We only had one pizza. It was excellent, I must say! The place is cozy, the service good. The prices are reasonable. I recommend it.

11/09/2025: Lovely meal in Cisternino. A hidden gem of a place but well worth finding. We shared an antipasti as a starter and for main courses we had Vitello e Polpette (meatballs) and Coniglio Cacciatora (rabbit) with a mixed salad. The food was delicious (I think the rabbit dish was possibly the best meal I had in two weeks of travelling through Italy) and complemented by a lovely house red wine. Service and prices were all excellent - would definitely recommend this place.

02/12/2025: A traditional restaurant in Vieste, open year-round, with a regular staff. Not a tourist trap, our favorite restaurant for 30 years. The Box 19 appetizer is very special and generous, enough for three people. The Amativo red wine is excellent and as cheap as online. Thanks to Matteo, the owner.

17/07/2025: Un repas typique, savoureux et généreux dans une ambiance conviviale. L’osteria propose une cuisine des Pouilles authentique, avec des produits du terroir simples mais savoureux. Les orecchiette alla cime di rapa étaient excellentes, tout comme les antipasti variés et copieux. Le vin local complète parfaitement l’ensemble. Le service est attentionné. Ici, on mange bien, on se sent bien, et on repart avec le sourire. Une adresse à ne pas manquer pour découvrir l'âme culinaire des Pouilles !

03/07/2025: Es ist eine familiäre und authentische Osteria mit entsprechenden pugliesischen Spezialitäten. Was wir als sehr schön empfunden haben, ist die kleine Karte mir den typischen traditionellen Gerichten sowie einem Tagesgericht (welches sich tatsächlich als zwei unterschiedliche Gerichte darstellte). In der Seitengasse gibt es einige Tische ansonsten sitzt man gemütlich im Kellergewölbe. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und gaben sehr gute Erinnerungen an unseren Abend!

08/12/2025: Our experience at this restaurant was, unfortunately, terrible, so much so that it completely ruined our evening. Although the food was good, the customers present that evening created a truly unpleasant and unsafe atmosphere. While I was in the bathroom, some patrons even tried to open the door from the outside, forcing the lock, making the situation extremely embarrassing and unacceptable. A very serious incident that should never happen in a restaurant. To make matters worse, shortly afterward, a very loud argument broke out between, presumably, the owner and a customer. Shouting, heated tones, and a level of tension that made us uncomfortable and even scared. The atmosphere became unbearable. Overall, the evening was truly awful: a chaotic, rude, and decidedly disrespectful environment. Especially for those seeking peace and quiet and good manners, I absolutely cannot recommend this place.

17/11/2025: When visiting the beautiful Cisternino, one of the most interesting stops is always lunch or dinner at your place, where you masterfully delight with your traditional Apulian cuisine, made entirely by hand. 🔝 We can't wait to return for the umpteenth time! 🙏

01/11/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant in Puglia by pure chance while looking for a spot for Saturday lunch — and it turned into an unforgettable culinary adventure. For just €40 per person, we were treated to a true feast. The meal began with two types of fresh bread, followed by two kinds of soft cheese and slices of cured meats per person. Then came a shared selection of delicious antipasti: fried meat, mushrooms, chickpea mousse, and baked eggplant with parmesan. Next, we each received a flavorful cannolo filled with meat, followed by a generous bowl of orecchiette with meat sauce. The main courses included a perfectly cooked beef tagliata with parmesan and rucola and grilled salsiccia served with potatoes and salad. To finish, they brought out a variety of sweets, fresh fruit, coffee, and a shot of amaro. Water and bottle of local wine were also included throughout the meal. The food was rustic, abundant, and made with heart — a perfect example of southern Italian hospitality. Highly recommended if you're looking for an authentic, generous dining experience.

The number provided on Google Maps is unreachable, and I couldn't find out if it was possible to book a table at the restaurant because the answers provided were rude and unrelated to my simple question, "Is it possible to book a table?" Not recommended for those who want to be sure of finding a table even if they're coming from far away just to try the restaurant.

03/06/2025: THE OSTERIA of yesteryear. Small but welcoming atmosphere. The owners—I apologize if I don't remember your names—were very kind. Excellent appetizers, the first course with homemade pasta, cardoncelli mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes—superlative. They truly deserve the compliments. We highly recommend them if you're passing through Ceglie. Keep up the good work, promoting local, locally sourced foods. WELL DONE. Francesco and Elena
