02/06/2026: A typical, historic restaurant with excellent food. I had a few reservation issues, so I'll explain. Towards the end of the morning, I went there to book for the evening. They took notes and told me they'd call me to confirm (this already seems strange to me because the place is either available or it isn't, but if that's their method...). Late in the afternoon, having not received any calls, I went back in person and they told me they'd called, but showing them my cell phone, I said I hadn't received any calls. They later confirmed, saying they'd called everyone except the first two numbers 😳😳😳. Finally, they told me, "OK, that's fine for two," and that we'd be on the veranda/courtyard. I don't remember exactly. We arrived at 9 pm, and when I asked for a table, they looked at each other a little shocked, and after a moment of silence, they said, "Over there," pointing to the inside dining room. Later, I noticed a bit of tension among the staff. It was only May 30th, so I imagine it was towards the end of the season. However, despite this mix-up, I recommend it because I think it's worth eating there, perhaps making sure to book in advance.

02/06/2026: The wait was a bit long, but acceptable, and was more than compensated by the generosity (we still ate and drank while we waited) and the quality of the food. Generous portions and reasonable prices. Reservations are required. Thanks to the manager and staff, we'll be back and will definitely recommend!

06/06/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant, we celebrated my niece's communion and we ate well and abundantly.

05/07/2026: Sunday lunch, best to reserve. Very good traditional dishes, such as pansoti in walnut sauce, Italian-style fried fish, and cima alla genovese. Efficient and friendly service. Fair price.

28/06/2026: I'm a Beppa regular. They're absolutely guaranteed; there's not a single dish you won't want to miss. And if you find their carne salada, you're forced to order a second helping. The service is fast and attentive, and the location is the same as always: you either love it or hate it.

07/06/2026: A trattoria on the hills above Sori, serving traditional Ligurian cuisine, including focaccia with stracchino or gorgonzola. The first courses are delicious (we had pansotti with walnut sauce and chestnut lasagna, with both pesto and walnut sauce), and the Ligurian-style rabbit is superb! The welcome platter of small cuculli and panissa was very popular. They have an outdoor area where you can dine in the summer. The atmosphere is rustic and casual. A truly enjoyable dinner with a relaxing atmosphere. Excellent value. I highly recommend it. Just so you know, to get there, you have to drive 5 or 6 km on a very narrow, winding road.

01/07/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance while hiking in the hills. A fairly wide selection of both first and second courses. Portions are moderate, and the food is good. Friendly staff, a very homey atmosphere. Very close to the Acquasanta spa. Recommended.

02/06/2026: I'll be honest, we opted for this because the nearby restaurant "Drin" was, as usual, full when we booked. I'd say it was a good thing... an excellent experience, friendly staff, excellent food, fair prices, and adequate portions. Since some desserts weren't available, we even received a small discount. Thanks to the staff, and goodbye!

30/04/2026: In an environment where simplicity reigns supreme, a young literature graduate, Nicolò, decides to continue running this establishment with passion, offering excellent quality at very fair prices. It's definitely worth a try, especially for the rapport he creates with his customers.

02/05/2026: Delicious food; I recommend the paccheri and ravioli for the first course. For the second course, I ordered the rabbit after my girlfriend tried it. The staff were friendly, and the owner (?) was super nice. If I were to return to Genoa, I'd definitely dine here again!

03/06/2026: A small trattoria/osteria that, under new ownership and management (about a year and a half ago), has become more touristy and less value-for-money. The first courses were good (despite the small portions), except for the unforgivable presence of cream in the seafood scucuzzi. The fried squid was only decent: crispy and dry, but the smell of the frying oil was "heavy." Note the lack of vegetables (zucchini, carrots) and other fish/shellfish (sardines, scampi), especially considering the price (€16). The tiramisu (ladyfingers well-soaked in coffee) was good, despite the mascarpone cream being thin and lacking in egg. Service was a bit slow, but the staff was very friendly.

31/05/2026: In all honesty, we didn't eat very well, and now I'll explain why. As you know, my reviews always try to be constructive for the owners, hoping that the inconveniences I encounter as a customer can be interpreted as a criticism for improvement. I had a seafood first course, my wife had tagliatella with shrimp and bisque, and a mixed fried fish main course. Well, the seafood was nothing short of spectacular, an explosion of flavor that I almost struggle to remember such a good dish. Compliments to the chef, 10 out of 10, fully deserved. My wife's dish, in my opinion, was a poorly executed dish, a disjointed one. The tagliatella (delicious), however, had no other flavor beyond that. You can taste the egg, the softness of the fresh tagliatella, but you can't taste the three main ingredients together. The large-cut shrimp are lost, and the bisque is good, but the tagliatella should be cooked completely inside it, otherwise it becomes just a broth to mop up and nothing else. Three completely separate flavors that couldn't be combined in a single bite. In my opinion, this dish needs a complete overhaul. I don't recommend it. I'm sorry to say that the fried food arrived completely dry. The squid pieces fell apart in our hands, and we had to digest it for hours. I saw other decidedly inviting dishes pass by, such as the caponmagro, which apparently seemed impeccably prepared, and other dishes. That's why I'm limiting myself to giving our guests a 3-star rating, also based on the kindness of the staff, the attentive service, and the splendid location of the restaurant. I'll definitely be back, hoping to find the opportunity to add the missing two stars.

Spectacular views of the valley await you, as you savor flavorful dishes and time-honored recipes, such as appetizers with cured meats, vegetable pies, and other delicacies. Hand-crafted first courses include ravioli with ragù and pansoti with walnut sauce, followed by tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, lasagnette, or trofie with pesto. For main courses, the house specialty is a rich Italian-style fritto misto, enough to feed two. Meat lovers will appreciate Piedmontese Fassona tartare, roast beef with herbs, veal with tuna sauce, Ligurian-style rabbit with olives, battered cod with panissette, fried focaccia filled with cheese, fried porcini mushrooms, and more. Classic desserts like tiramisu, grandma's pudding with chocolate sauce, panna cotta, and a classic tart with homemade fruit compote. The wine cellar offers a wide selection of select wines, including house wines. Generous dishes and reasonable prices! The entire group was satisfied!

13/06/2026: The view is splendid, but the overall experience is disappointing considering the €75 per person price. While some dishes are well-crafted, the service is unprofessional and unbecoming of the restaurant's category: paper napkins and unnerving waits even just to order dessert, only to receive a knife while the plate cools. The quality-price ratio is unbalanced.

17/05/2026: I had lunch at Lo Stella restaurant in Portofino and was truly thrilled. The dishes were incredibly fresh, with authentic flavors and a quality that shone through in every course. I ate wonderfully: everything was carefully crafted, from the fish to the presentation. The service was also impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, perfect for enjoying a special lunch in Portofino. Highly recommended, I'll gladly return!

17/05/2026: Very disappointed with this restaurant. The prices are very high for the tiny portions. The service is adequate, but the value for money is simply not there. It has a lovely location in Portofino, but that's not enough to justify the bill. I don't recommend it. It's clearly a tourist trap.
