The cuisine is simple, traditional, and simply unbelievably delicious. There's no attempt to make everything seem modern or artificially extravagant – instead, you get honest Italian food prepared with love and passion. You can taste it in every dish. The ingredients seem fresh, the dishes authentic, and everything is reminiscent of real, homemade food, just as you'd expect in Italy. You immediately sense that tradition and hospitality are paramount here. The staff is warm and friendly, making you feel right at home. An absolute must for anyone who wants to experience genuine Italian cuisine! Important: Be sure to reserve in advance, as this place doesn't seem to be a hidden gem anymore. However, if you're expecting a modern or particularly chic atmosphere, this might not be the place for you. This restaurant doesn't impress with luxury or design, but with honest, heartfelt, and incredibly delicious food. And that's exactly what makes this place so special! Spectacular views of the valley await you, as you savor flavorful dishes and time-honored recipes, such as appetizers with cured meats, vegetable pies, and other delicacies. Hand-crafted first courses include ravioli with ragù and pansoti with walnut sauce, followed by tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, lasagnette, or trofie with pesto. For main courses, the house specialty is a rich Italian-style fritto misto, enough to feed two. Meat lovers will appreciate Piedmontese Fassona tartare, roast beef with herbs, veal with tuna sauce, Ligurian-style rabbit with olives, battered cod with panissette, fried focaccia filled with cheese, fried porcini mushrooms, and more. 17/05/2026: For every special occasion, it remains my favorite restaurant in downtown Genoa, and I'm never wrong, whether it's the à la carte menu or the daily specials, or the wine cellar, including "unusual" champagnes, which I adore. As soon as the weather permits, I love the outdoor space, especially for lunch under the pergola. For me, it's an oasis of tranquility, peace, and a culinary experience in downtown Genoa.

21/03/2026: Ligurian cuisine, tasty and refined. The dishes—those not on the menu—are based on seasonal ingredients: the cabbage rolls stuffed with sea bream are excellent! The capponmagro, although without the traditional vinegar-soaked biscuit, I found it simple yet flavorful, thanks to its generous green sauce. Very friendly staff, excellent service; perhaps the only thing that's a bit dated is the restaurant itself. Definitely worth trying again!
