Great experience. Excellent food and plenty of it. The fried fish was delicious. The owner and his mother were very kind. The price was fair.

Lunch reservation on Easter Monday at 2 pm...accepted without a fuss!!
Delicious risotto and filleted sea bream (I expected it to be a little bigger), fast service, and a lovely, friendly waitress!!
Rustic, pleasant atmosphere with a very welcoming outdoor lawn area!!

Easter lunch, informal and fairly spartan atmosphere, what you'd expect from an osteria. The place was packed, with a daily menu featuring seafood appetizers, two first courses, two second courses (one meat and one fish), a mix of homemade desserts, drinks, and coffee. The food was average, nothing exceptional, but good overall. The wait was a bit long, but the place was busy given the holiday. Service was good; one guest's food intolerance was also resolved. The price was a bit steep for what we ate, but you know what happens when there's a holiday.

I was in Sestri Levante last night with some Genoese friends at this typical trattoria, and I must say the dishes are typical, too. The atmosphere is simple, as I think a trattoria should be. Family-run, everyone is friendly and willing to offer advice on the dishes. The fried anchovies and seafood salad were excellent, and for the main course, a stockfish with potatoes, which pleasantly surprised me. I also tried the boiled stockfish, and I have to say I couldn't decide which was better. And to finish, an excellent pear and chocolate cake, and, of course, a bitter. Osteria da Sergio is definitely worth a visit. I can't comment on the bill because I was a guest, but I understand it was excellent value for money.
