08/09/2025: A step back in time. Simplicity, attention to food and guests. Very generous portions, and if that weren't enough... a second helping is always ready. Kudos to the entire staff. One piece of advice, though: you need to have plenty of time.

22/10/2025: A great find! During our Ligurian weekends, we loved it the first time, so we wanted to return. Located in the historic center, this restaurant offers traditional local cuisine, flavorful dishes, and generous portions. I loved the fritto misto and the cod fritters. It's a very popular, welcoming place, with very efficient and friendly staff. When you sit down, a basket of delicious focaccia is immediately waiting for you. The desserts are also very good. Pizza is also available. Excellent value. I definitely recommend it.

19/10/2025: We had dinner with ravioli with amberjack (fantastic!), spaghetti with seafood (fantastic), mixed fried fish and tender and sweet grilled calamari, all cooked to perfection! Highly recommended.

31/10/2025: Excellent lunch with typical Genoese first courses (but don't forget the pansoti). A charming location next to the funicular terminus. Excellent service and very fair prices, especially considering the location.

15/10/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance while out riding with biker friends. We were drawn in by the photos of the dishes. We immediately knew it was the perfect place to enjoy traditional Ligurian cuisine. The appetizers were generous. The first courses were tasty and generous. All this was accompanied by the friendly host, who made us enjoy a full tourist experience with a touch of humor and lightheartedness. We'll definitely be back. AMPLE PARKING NEXT TO THE PLACE.

02/11/2025: --- I ate at Ostaia a Ribotta in Genoa on October 29th with my wife, and the experience was truly enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious dishes, especially the trenette al pesto and the mandilli al pesto, which were authentic and rich in flavor. Among the daily specials, we chose an excellent cod, cooked with great care. To conclude, dessert: a delicate rhubarb jelly accompanied by a sautéed fresh strawberry, a combination that won us over. The courtesy of the owner and all the staff was remarkable; they made us feel truly welcomed and cared for with kindness. 02/11/2025: Well, there's not much to add to the 5-star rating: excellent, homemade cuisine, exquisite and friendly service, and a unique seaside setting!! Highly recommended; not going would be a waste.

30/10/2025: Terrible experience. I was there one evening this summer. We arrived just before 9 PM, having booked a quarter of an hour in advance. We literally waited an hour for some trofie. The waiters, innocently I imagine, tried to curb the pain by apologizing, but we weren't told either on the phone when we booked or when we ordered that there would be a wait. Finally, at the cash register, the owner (I presume) didn't even look at us or apologize, and we weren't even offered a liqueur or a small discount (say).

13/10/2025: Trattoria Paladini in Santa Margherita Ligure is a true gem of Ligurian cuisine. The atmosphere is authentic and welcoming, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the dishes showcase local tradition with simplicity and flavor. 23/10/2025: One of the best cheese focaccias in the city. I've tried several dishes over the years, and what can I say, they're always delicious. Quick service and friendly staff. The almond and salted caramel pudding is my new favorite dessert.

03/11/2025: The freshest seafood I have had in a long time! We had mussels, pasta vongole and fritto misto. Everything was simply prepared but with such fresh ingredients, that is exactly what is needed. A lovely waitress somehow managed to run the whole lunch service by herself, everything being served fast, without mistakes to a room full of what looked like happy regular customers. Perfect lunch! 10/10/2025: Very tasty, authentic fish cuisine. They have very fine fish dishes. The service is attentive and the atmosphere is authentic. It filled up quickly; we were lucky to get a table; I think a reservation is worthwhile.

14/11/2025: The menu is primarily traditional Ligurian. The portions are generous, the flavors are delicious, and the taste and satisfaction are guaranteed. The price is within expectations for the location and type of restaurant. I return frequently and am always satisfied.

08/11/2025: The place is welcoming but a bit cold. The appetizers are good. The ravioli with ragù are tasty, even if the sauce is a bit watered down. The pansoti, on the other hand, are excellent. The main courses, however, aren't particularly outstanding. But it's worth the trip just to chat with the waiter, Giovanni Battista. We'll be back.

01/10/2025: Probably one of the worst veal tonnato dishes. The steak was ordered rare, but it arrived on the grill well done. The bill was €55 for an appetizer, steak, side dish, and coffee, which was definitely overpriced given the quality of the food.
