09/08/2026: A splendid venue: nestled in the cliff that also houses the church, it overlooks the Gulf of Rapallo and Santa Margherita: a view that alone takes your breath away. The service is prompt and courteous, and the dishes (we tried the seafood) are truly superb: the mussels and the tagliolini with shrimp and zucchini (and curry) are truly exceptional. The fried food is dry and tasty. We will definitely be back; the venue isn't very big, so it's advisable to book well in advance, especially if you hope to secure a table with a view. It's not cheap, but it's the kind of place where you leave happy, even with a hefty bill.

01/06/2026: To get there by car, the road is extremely narrow and winding, perhaps for this reason. The place is authentic and original. The fixed menu at €30 per person, including a bottle of wine of your choice, is excellent value: - High-quality cured meats, equally high-quality cheeses, frittata with local herbs, and fried focaccia (I don't remember the name, but it's delicious and unique) - Handmade gnocchi with pesto - Pansotti with borage and marjoram with red meat sauce - Grilled sausage and ham with baked potatoes - Panna cotta with rose jelly (incredibly fragrant and flavorful) - Apricot tart - Homemade limoncello - Coffee - Bottle of Dolcetto di Dogliani €30 per adult and €15 per child. If you're not afraid of curves and narrow roads, this little gem, just 15 minutes from Voltri, is a must-see!

07/08/2026: Da Vittorio is a historic restaurant in Chiavari and a go-to for those seeking traditional Genoese cuisine. The place is clean and welcoming, with outdoor seating, ideal in spring and/or summer. Reservations aren't possible, but you can always find a seat even after a short wait. Highly recommended, the food is excellent, reflecting the lugure/Genoese culinary tradition. Here, the focus is on substance, not on showiness. Takeout is also available; my favorite dishes are cima, the Russian salad (which isn't Piedmontese), and cima, the Genoese minestrone.

21/08/2026: Unfortunately, a disappointing experience. Let's start with the appetizers, which were cold, dry, and hard. No, very hard, inedible. The first course: testaroli, cooked just fine. The potatoes were only on the menu. The green beans were raw, but absolutely raw. Not to mention the diluted pesto, a waste of money. The second course: sliced ​​steak, €28 per portion. It arrived lukewarm, but ultimately, perhaps the only thing that was slightly edible. The "magic" touch was the table lamp. Throughout the evening, the staff kept coming to dim it, without a "sorry" or "may I?" The owner, who changed his hat every now and then - nice but excessive. Circus. A nice comic book place, yes, but nothing more or less special. Wasted time and money.

15/08/2026: I showed up here on August 14, 2026, right after work. I looked like a nobody, but they welcomed me kindly and served me beautifully. I had the ravioli with baby octopus ragù, delicious, and for the main course, the skate wings, which were off the menu, were AMAZING. All accompanied by good house wine. Since I wasn't sure what to choose for dessert, they offered me two half portions (and who would offer that to you?). The wait between each course was just right. The fish is also their own; you couldn't ask for more traditional fare. Highly recommended!

08/08/2026: Everything was good. The only flaw I could find is that the dishes are always a bit the same. As for the service, I'd say it's fast and efficient, and the atmosphere is a bit outdated. But overall, that's fine because the restaurant is located in the center of Cavi Borgo, which is why I find it quaint. And then, the spaghetti we ordered had really small shells, all broken, so it was a bit of a nuisance. I recommend it, very good.

05/07/2026: In a quaint and very well-kept location, we ate excellent trofie al pesto. Both the pasta and the pesto were exceptional; you could taste all the care they put into the preparation and selection of ingredients. The service was very fast, and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to accommodate customers' requests. The limoncino also deserves a special mention. A truly excellent place to try traditional Genoese dishes.

06/08/2026: Excellent pizza and quality food. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place during the summer months, as it isn't air conditioned. We had dinner last night and felt like we were walking into a veritable furnace. If we hadn't had a reservation for the second sitting, we probably would have changed locations. Fortunately, the pizza fully met our expectations. It's a shame, because the place is truly charming and welcoming. My advice is to install air conditioning, which would make the experience much more pleasant during the summer.

17/08/2026: We had a fantastic dinner here. Everything we ordered was authentic and delicious! I had the Salad Genovese, my husband the Lasagna Genovese and our son the steak. Unfortunately we were too hungry to take photos of our dishes and we devoured them all before thinking of taking photos. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They managed to find us a table even though we didnt have a reservation and they were super communicative even though they didnt speak English and we didnt speak Italian:) Overall a great trattoria!

08/08/2026: Hidden away on a narrow street, this trattoria is worth the effort. You have to be there right when it opens, otherwise you'll have to wait in the street for a table to become available! The prices and the quality of this authentic Italian cuisine deserve a 4.5/5 rating. The welcome, in a mix of Italian and English punctuated with a couple of words of French, is more than pleasant.

26/08/2026: On TripAdvisor, you'll find a fixed menu with drinks and wine for €15. We paid €20 each for just an appetizer and a first course: a difference that would be acceptable if the quality/price ratio were adequate, but it wasn't. The ravioli with walnut sauce arrived poorly drained, still with the cooking water and the sauce simply thrown on top. The same goes for the fettuccine with pesto: pasta with little sauce and poorly prepared dishes. The veal with tuna sauce also didn't convince us: thick slices with too much fat. Regarding the service, while I fully understand the concept of a rustic, homely trattoria, I believe that "rustic" shouldn't be synonymous with sloppy. The staff seemed listless and unfriendly, with attitudes that left us quite perplexed. In short, the bill didn't reflect what we ate at all, and it was an experience we honestly wouldn't recommend.

25/08/2026: A very strange place, full of contradictions. A visit to Trattoria Rosa guarantees a beautiful view of Rapallo, even if you have to travel down a winding and, worse still, narrow road. The staff is very friendly. The lack of a menu is strange. The waiter comes to the table and lists the dishes currently available. Everything is very cheap and, unfortunately, mediocre in taste. Dishes cost around 8-9 euros. Coffee costs 1 euro and half-liter bottles of water 1.50 euros. Appetizers cost 2 euros and desserts 4 euros. Of all the dishes, the desserts were the tastiest. The grilled pork chop was dry and tough. Despite all this, I don't regret choosing this restaurant.

25/08/2026: A very nice, quiet place in one of the alleys of Lavagna's historic center. Super fresh fish, and the calamari salad was perhaps the best I've ever had! Relaxed atmosphere and friendly service.
