14/12/2025: I called for Sunday lunch at the last minute, there were 14 of us without a reservation and Christian and his wife welcomed us with a hospitality that is not always taken for granted, we ate and drank very well, the friends, some from Milan, that I brought were all satisfied ... 01/06/2026: To get there by car, the road is extremely narrow and winding, perhaps for this reason. The place is authentic and original. The fixed menu at €30 per person, including a bottle of wine of your choice, is excellent value: - High-quality cured meats, equally high-quality cheeses, frittata with local herbs, and fried focaccia (I don't remember the name, but it's delicious and unique) - Handmade gnocchi with pesto - Pansotti with borage and marjoram with red meat sauce - Grilled sausage and ham with baked potatoes - Panna cotta with rose jelly (incredibly fragrant and flavorful) - Apricot tart - Homemade limoncello - Coffee - Bottle of Dolcetto di Dogliani €30 per adult and €15 per child. If you're not afraid of curves and narrow roads, this little gem, just 15 minutes from Voltri, is a must-see!

04/06/2026: A charming place! Attention to detail is evident everywhere, from the Genoa-themed paintings to the rustic yet elegant tables on the veranda overlooking the Superba. A wide selection of food, from their famous pizza by the meter (highly recommended, and even better if you're with friends), to traditional first courses and refined second courses. Nothing to complain about, a truly delightful place. Unique atmosphere and convenient funicular nearby.

28/05/2026: It was my first time there because everyone spoke highly of it. We chose a restaurant. But I have to say, it wasn't what I expected! For example, the first course, the walnut sauce was a bit dry. And the second course, meat with baked potatoes, was average—nothing surprising. It may be famous for its pizza, but as a restaurant, I've had much better elsewhere. Again, we went because everyone recommended it. I found it...normal...

06/02/2026: Trattoria Da Marino is a surprise: when you see the entrance from the outside, it looks like a place from another era. Once you step inside, a world of traditional dishes opens up before you, along with attentive and friendly service and a decent price. There's a reason it's been open since 1922...

11/05/2026: We even received an English menu as tourists. The food was excellent and the service superb. Dogs are welcome. The outdoor lighting was truly beautiful.

18/05/2026: There were three of us, and a friend asked for gluten-free pesto gnocchi. Our pesto fettuccine arrived, cold, but her gnocchi weren't, because they'd made a mistake and cooked them plain. While we waited, the owner went out of her way to bring her friend, who was left without a dish, a plate of octopus and potatoes. It seemed like a courtesy, a sort of apology for their mistake, but when it came time to get the bill, the octopus was added to the bill. Not even a discount or even an apology! I'll never go back. Terrible service, and the food was nothing special.

17/05/2026: Last night, we visited this stunning corner of Genoa for the third time. Everything was perfect. The place. The food was superb. The staff and service were truly wonderful. To those who criticized the tartare... well... this is the third time I've had it, and it's the best I've ever had in my life... I won't even mention the pesto because it's simply divine. I truly recommend it to everyone.

28/04/2026: We booked for lunch during the week. The dishes we chose from both the menu and some off-menu options were excellent and high-quality, both for the fresh fish and the lovingly presented food. The staff were friendly and welcoming, with a delightful Ligurian touch.

21/05/2026: This restaurant high up on the hill in Rapallo was truly an incredible experience! It's precisely these kinds of places that make a trip to Italy so special. The cuisine is simple, traditional, and simply unbelievably delicious. There's no attempt to make everything seem modern or artificially extravagant – instead, you get honest Italian food prepared with love and passion. You can taste it in every dish. The ingredients seem fresh, the dishes authentic, and everything is reminiscent of real, homemade food, just as you'd expect in Italy. You immediately sense that tradition and hospitality are paramount here. The staff is warm and friendly, making you feel right at home. An absolute must for anyone who wants to experience genuine Italian cuisine! Important: Be sure to reserve in advance, as this place doesn't seem to be a hidden gem anymore. However, if you're expecting a modern or particularly chic atmosphere, this might not be the place for you. This restaurant doesn't impress with luxury or design, but with honest, heartfelt, and incredibly delicious food. And that's exactly what makes this place so special! 20/05/2026: I gave the ambience 5 stars not because it's luxurious but because it's exactly what it is: a trattoria. Good, traditional food, carefully prepared with excellent ingredients, at a truly fair price. Just as a trattoria should be.

02/06/2026: The wait was a bit long, but acceptable, and was more than compensated by the generosity (we still ate and drank while we waited) and the quality of the food. Generous portions and reasonable prices. Reservations are required. Thanks to the manager and staff, we'll be back and will definitely recommend!

02/06/2026: A typical, historic restaurant with excellent food. I had a few reservation issues, so I'll explain. Towards the end of the morning, I went there to book for the evening. They took notes and told me they'd call me to confirm (this already seems strange to me because the place is either available or it isn't, but if that's their method...). Late in the afternoon, having not received any calls, I went back in person and they told me they'd called, but showing them my cell phone, I said I hadn't received any calls. They later confirmed, saying they'd called everyone except the first two numbers 😳😳😳. Finally, they told me, "OK, that's fine for two," and that we'd be on the veranda/courtyard. I don't remember exactly. We arrived at 9 pm, and when I asked for a table, they looked at each other a little shocked, and after a moment of silence, they said, "Over there," pointing to the inside dining room. Later, I noticed a bit of tension among the staff. It was only May 30th, so I imagine it was towards the end of the season. However, despite this mix-up, I recommend it because I think it's worth eating there, perhaps making sure to book in advance.

13/06/2026: The view is splendid, but the overall experience is disappointing considering the €75 per person price. While some dishes are well-crafted, the service is unprofessional and unbecoming of the restaurant's category: paper napkins and unnerving waits even just to order dessert, only to receive a knife while the plate cools. The quality-price ratio is unbalanced.

12/06/2026: I dined as a guest "I didn't pay" but the excessive prices do not justify the food.
