Luigi, the owner, is helpful and truly ready to fulfill every request.
The pizzas are exceptional, thin but not too thin, with truly top-quality ingredients.
The desserts are fantastic.
Absolutely recommended!

01/01/2026: An old Genoese trattoria serving traditional Ligurian dishes. The atmosphere is simple, with closely spaced tables, and the service is friendly and unfussy. I had farinata, mixed cakes (chard, rice, and onions), and Ligurian-style rabbit. Everything was excellent. Be patient, as they don't take reservations and there's often a line outside the entrance.

21/09/2025: A lovely place recommended by friends. The food was excellent and there was a wide selection of wines. The staff were very friendly, and Fabrizio, the chef and sommelier, was fantastic! I'll be back. The quality/price ratio was excellent.
26/08/2025: The best pasta we've tried in Italy. They make it by hand and use sauces that take 5 hours to cook, and they're spectacular. The service is a 10. We wanted to try several types of pasta, and they divided all the dishes into portions so my family could try them. The price is incredible, 100% recommended!

04/01/2026: Simple Genoese cuisine in an old-fashioned, slightly cramped restaurant in the historic center.
Everything is average but nothing to write home about, with portions and prices certainly not those of a trattoria. A very simple plate of commercial-style trenette pasta, topped with a cheap pesto, costs €14—it's truly unbearable. Likewise, three mini crostini with a slice of lard and an anchovy cost €13. The cima with Russian salad and fried anchovies are decent.
To sum up: 1 appetizer, 2 first courses, and 2 second courses with water and 4 glasses of white wine cost €90. Definitely too much for the context and substance.
There's definitely better!

21/12/2025: An unusual place whose theme brings together all the objects that are part of our childhood: comics and toys from every era—a veritable wonderland, in short. When you sit down to eat, however, things get serious, and the typical Ligurian dishes, with occasional Piedmontese influences, delight the palate, complemented by an extensive cellar stocked with wines from all over Italy (and even France).
A must-try!

23/01/2026: I happened to be in San Maurizio di Monti because an ancestor of mine was born there in 1794. Not surprisingly, there are still lots of people with the old family names.
Given the small size and remoteness of the location, I didn't know what to expect from the Trattoria. After glimpsing the kitchen I was encouraged. The meal was amazing! Fresh pasta ravioli, rabbit in herbs and garlic, a catalana, and espresso were all exemplary. With coperto and two bottles of water, the total was 22 Euros. No wonder the place was packed!

21/12/2025: Excellent, historic restaurant serving traditional cuisine. Authentic ingredients. Friendly staff, fast service. Since it was peak time, we had to adjust to the outside temperature, and it wasn't particularly hot, hence the 4 stars. The other 4 were for a mix-up with the wine, which was promptly and very kindly resolved by the owner.
In any case, a place worth a visit.

We finally made it to eat after several attempts to find a seat. Now I understand why.
25/12/2025: There's no need to mention it, but I'd like to emphasize its confirmation. Christmas lunch 2025 was excellent, with 12 tasting courses of fish-based appetizers that alone were worth the entire meal, such as ravioli with herbs and DOC ragù, etc. A fixed menu meal including drinks and a Moscato wine to finish. Plus, Adriana's friendliness... all at a reasonable price in a family atmosphere. Thank you and well done.
