03/04/2026: We had lunch at this typical Genoese restaurant to celebrate my dad's birthday. We ate well, I can't say otherwise, but there were some areas where it could be improved. For appetizers, we chose panissette and cuculli, a dry and crispy fried dish, but a bit bland. The best choice was the minced raw meat, served with several side dishes. The first courses were excellent; we tried pansoti with walnut sauce, pesto lasagna (not the smoothest, but a bit grainy, just the way I like it), and tagliolini with mushrooms and tuna, a truly beautiful dish. For the second course, we sampled a generous and delicious fried calamari and artichokes, while the Italian-style fritto misto, which we had high hopes for, was a disappointment: for €22, it consisted almost entirely of vegetables; the only piece of meat was a 4x4 cm steak, along with a small piece of ham and cheese. Dessert was brought to us at the end of the meal, after the birthday cake: not exactly a good choice, given that one of the dish's strengths is the combination of flavors. Overall, it was a good lunch, although quite pricey: €50 per person, but not everyone chose three courses, and we brought our own dessert. The fried appetizer, in particular, at €8, is excessive; after all, we're talking about flour and water. The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, and the staff was very courteous; perhaps the younger waiters need a little more experience. There's a small parking lot at the entrance, so I suggest grouping diners in as few cars as possible.

08/04/2026: A very authentic Italian place. The food is simple and inexpensive, but oh so delicious. The service is quick, the waiters are busy, and sometimes they make mistakes, but it's really not a problem.

20/10/2025: It's become my new favorite pizzeria! The pizzas are really good; I've never felt heavy or thirsty overnight. They have a variety of flavors, many of which are truly unique. I've been ordering here for a few years now, and the quality of the pizzas hasn't changed. The pizza ordering service is also truly excellent; they're always friendly, and the pizzas always arrive on time (sometimes even early), and compared to many other pizzerias, the wait times are truly minimal. I now recommend them to everyone. My compliments!

08/03/2026: The atmosphere is old but welcoming, the food is excellent and the service is fast. The fettuccine with wild boar sauce is excellent, as is the mixed Italian-style fried food. We will definitely be back.

05/04/2026: Really rude waitress. While we were reading the menu outside the restaurant, a blonde waitress asked us if we needed anything. When we replied, "Thanks, we're reading the menu." She replied, "There's also French if you want," in a mocking tone. She then promptly went back inside the restaurant without showing her face. Even if we'd been interested in the food, we never would have gone in!

07/01/2026: The focaccias were good, as always. I had the mixed Italian-style fried food. A tiny slice of chicken that I didn't try (I thought there was no meat, but my brother took it without realizing there was nothing else), and raw, very hard vegetables. It's a shame because a month earlier, at my son's birthday, everything went smoothly. The ravioli were good, but overcooked.

17/02/2026: The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Even though we showed up at 3 PM, they were willing to prepare the dishes we requested and that were on the menu. The place is divided into two shops, one serving as a deli and one serving as a restaurant, making it very convenient for a quick but tasty lunch. We were very satisfied. We will definitely be back!

26/01/2026: Da Angelo is certainly no longer what I knew. The dishes served don't rise above mediocrity. Perhaps it was a quiet night, but the menu was rather limited. The service is inattentive, and the atmosphere is decidedly tired.

14/12/2025: Terrible. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and were told to wait 10-15 minutes. After at least 20 minutes, what appeared to be the manager came out and told us it would be a bit longer because he didn't have any tables, and offered to sit at two different tables, one for six and one for three. (I'm going out with friends and family so we can sit at different tables, after all.) Naturally, we said yes and that we'd wait. (I also pointed out that I had two little girls, a 5-year-old and an 8-month-old, and that he'd been told the first time we'd had to go to work.) Having said that, he came out for the umpteenth time and almost blamed us for the fact that we'd been accepted for the reservation we'd made the day before for nine people at 1:30 PM. Crazy. I repeat. I've never seen anything like this, and I'll start by saying that I'm not one to write reviews, but I felt truly mocked for the simple fact that he never apologized, not even once. A special mention goes to one or two of the girls who work for him, who are definitely wasted. Thank you so much.

20/03/2026: Excellent family restaurant where I go very often. The fried meat and seafood is always excellent and dry, the first courses are excellent, ravioli and pansoti are top notch, the fish always good. It's certainly not a place for a master chef, but if I go out to eat and find a clean, tidy, welcoming place with excellent value, I'll go back. Reading many reviews, I'm amazed. If you want a chic, modern place and want to spend 100 euros, go elsewhere. If you want to eat well in a setting that may be a bit retro but is clean and well-kept, this is the place for you. Kudos also to all the staff for their helpfulness and friendliness. If you sometimes have to wait a bit, be patient. They don't have a fast food sign outside.

18/02/2026: What a shame, really. An excellent culinary offering, featuring all the signature dishes of Ligurian cuisine, was literally thrown away due to the disorganization in the dining room and the resulting biblical waits before being served. I've been to this restaurant several times in the same week because I was staying in Chiavari for personal reasons. Whether it was a busy weekend or a quiet weekday, the common denominator has always been the slow service: a plate of ravioli, a veal cutlet with chips, and a dessert served in an average of an hour and a half. It's a shame, because the price is also highly competitive. The waiter is also smart and fast, but the problem clearly lies between him and the kitchen. I can't explain it any other way. Anyway, I repeat, in case you haven't figured it out, the food is very good.
