20/04/2025: A Pasqua la maggioranza dei ristoranti fanno menù fisso, bisogna prenotare con settimane se non mesi di anticipo, non mi va, preferisco pranzare alla carta. Le Mille e una Notte non delude mai, comodo parcheggio, bella la location, cortese il personale, ottima carta di terra e di mare, ampia scelta di vini, insomma tutto perfetto, prezzo in linea con location, qualità e preparazione delle portate, lascio alle foto i commenti.

30/03/2025: Per un week end in zona abbiamo scelto questo ristorante non sul mare a Camogli ma appena sopra, sullAurelia. Abbiamo preso due antipasti e due secondi di pesce di ottima qualità. E due dolci buonissimi. Servizio veloce e discreto. Locazione carina. Prezzo giusto per quello che abbiamo mangiato. Consigliatissimo. TOP

26/08/2025: Dinner, unfortunately, didn't start out very well. We asked for two glasses of Sauvignon and the waiter showed up with an open bottle, larger than usual, and poured the dregs of it for us. We pointed out that it was sour, and he brought us a second bottle, which was decidedly better. We continued with an appetizer, which we shared, and I won't comment on that because I'm speechless (though I'll leave you with the photo below). Fortunately, the main courses were fine. My husband finished the dinner with dessert, while I drank my still water (served in a nondescript bottle that we ended up paying a whopping €2). Total: €98, for mediocre food and equally good service. The view was undoubtedly beautiful, but only if you're lucky enough to dine in the front row. Not to be repeated.

19/08/2025: The location isn't the most convenient, but the exceptional view makes all the effort worthwhile. The terrace offers a stunning view of Rapallo and the Portofino promontory. The seafood is good and the menu interesting. The bill is a bit pricey but fair. Overall, a very nice place.

09/10/2025: A historic Genoese inn in a quiet neighborhood. Everything is always excellent.

07/10/2025: Very good local cuisine. Italian atmosphere, not touristy, more for locals. The menu is in the form of a chalkboard, brought by the waiter, only in Italian :) I highly recommend it. Prices are reasonable.

12/10/2025: Be curious to discover this restaurant located in the center of Genoa. The excellent menu combines Ligurian dishes with revisited Italian classics. Everything is delicious, from appetizers to dessert. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, and the chefs are excellent. Definitely worth trying again...

15/09/2025: It was probably created for a simple workers' lunch: first you eat the pasta, then the parmesan, and then the wine! The house wine isn't good (for me!), and when you ask what kind of red wine they have, the answer is so vague (almost everyone does) that you're left so perplexed that when they return to the table with a full bottle (but already uncorked), you wonder what you're drinking or paying for! It would be nice (in my opinion) to point out that the meat course includes potatoes, so as not to make people order a side of potatoes in vain!

08/10/2025: This was our second time at Trattoria da Mario with 7 years since our first. The meal was as wonderful as expected. 2 of us had the Vongole and one the Bolognese. We had a couple of appetizers and a beef stew which had very tasty and tender meat. Service was fun and engaging. We will of course return, hopefully sooner than it took this time.

19/07/2025: Ristorante casalingo, ben illuminato. Nuovo accogliente, ampi parcheggi. Servizio veloce e puntuale. Staff gentile, servizievole, con il sorriso e simpatici. Ravioli al ragù, fiorentine e angus abbondanti ben cotte e caldissime. Patatine a volontà e verdure grigliate. Tutto bagnato da un ottimo vino rosso Montepulciano.

31/08/2025: The focaccia was very good, the pansoti were undercooked, and we waited half an hour between the focaccia and the first course. The staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming.

22/08/2025: The staff is very courteous and professional. The location offers a truly picturesque view. The dishes we ate were neither good nor bad. I would recommend using more salt, as some dishes were decidedly too salty and the flavors of the ingredients were truly missing. I would also recommend not asking the customer specifically if they want to leave a tip when paying by debit card, as this could be seen as inappropriate, almost rude.

27/05/2025: Typical place, kind and knowledgeable staff, excellent food. Good and well cooked meat. I also tried the pasta with pesto, fabulous. A truly noteworthy pesto! I also recommend the cutlet for lovers of the genre because it is worth it. The desserts are delicious, especially the chocolate mousse!😻

16/04/2025: Excellent place, clean, always tidy and amazing food, excellent whatever dish you choose. I recommend it loudly. Don't miss it!!!!

18/09/2025: Avoid this place Run!!! Scammers …….they charged us triple for every order even for the napkins, they told us tip was not included which was not true . Don’t support that scammers they are using the celebrity pictures to get you in

11/09/2025: For my part, I had the trio of tartare, the salmon had no taste, too bad, the sea bass and tuna tartare a little better in terms of taste, but frankly banal. The quantities, a disaster because my trio of tartare was served to me with nothing (a few lamb's lettuce leaves and arugula around it) no toast or butter only the bread that had been placed on the table as soon as it arrived. My companion had the spaghetti allo scoglio which was rather good but once again the quantities were horrible. 4 mussels, a few vongoles and squid chasing each other. Leaving the restaurant we were hungry so we went to buy a slice of pizza to complete. The icing on the cake is the bill of 90€ for 2 dishes, a glass of white wine and a still water. I do not recommend it.

04/10/2025: I'm writing this review while I'm still here. It was a wonderful experience, from the food to the venue, and the icing on the cake, the kindness of the staff.

28/09/2025: We had booked an aperitivo, but when we ordered, some dishes weren't available: the cucculi were sold out, the panisse were missing from the menu, and the cheese platter wasn't ready due to its age. So, we opted for a small platter of vegetable pies, accompanied by a little Russian salad. To round out the evening, we chose two first courses: the flavor was good, but the pasta was unfortunately a little too al dente. We would have also tried the fried mushrooms, but since they're cooked in the same oil as the fish, we skipped it (allergy). The deconstructed cannoli, on the other hand, was truly excellent and a pleasant surprise. The location is simply unique: every detail tells a story, and nothing is left to chance.

15/09/2025: We celebrated my mother's birthday (89 years old) at the request of my father (90), who fondly remembered dining at this restaurant with his family since he was young/child, a detail that testifies to the long history of this place. The atmosphere is familiar and welcoming, the service very friendly, and the food truly excellent, with flavors reminiscent of tradition. It was a simple, authentic, and very pleasant lunch that made us feel right at home. A place we happily recommend and where we hope to return soon.

06/09/2025: Dedicated to those who love to eat well! Don't miss the spectacular cheese focaccias served with exceptional prosciutto. There are so many first courses, it's hard to choose. Then it gets even worse with the delicious, homemade dessert!

13/09/2025: Excellent experience. We ordered two glasses of wine and some tapas. During the aperitif, a table move accidentally spilled one of the glasses into the tapas. The waitress noticed this and promptly brought our order back to the table without adding it to the bill. We'll definitely be back.
