07/10/2025: Very, very disappointing. I had ordered a classic baba cake with cream, cherries decorated with fruit, and a mini baba on top. I was advised to avoid any type of red fruit (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, etc.) due to an allergy. On the day of collection, they presented me with a log-shaped baba filled with fruit, including blueberries. When I complained, they asked if they could make it in the shape I requested, but not in the shape I had requested, within half an hour. A total disaster, as the baba hadn't had time to mature, and the sugar parchment with the writing, as shown in the photo, had been patched up and thrown away so as not to displease the customer. On the other hand, the remaining pastries, marzipan and tea cakes, were nothing to complain about, and as always, very good.

06/10/2025: Unquestionable quality. The almond paste, in my opinion, is the best in Salerno.

15/09/2025: Nice and clean atmosphere. The pizza was good. The panuozzo had some cold pieces (they looked like they'd been taken out of the fridge). I removed them, and it was good. The only downside was that they turned off the air conditioning in the summer. We literally ran away. They turned it on when we asked, but it didn't help.

05/09/2025: A family-run establishment, it offers a nice selection of sandwiches, rotisserie appetizers, panuozzi, and pizzas, all of excellent quality and at fair prices.

18/09/2025: A delightful little restaurant on the lovely Scario waterfront. Delicious dishes, fresh ingredients, and attentive staff. The marinated anchovies, octopus Leuciana-style, and the mixed fried fish were excellent. Highly recommended!

07/01/2025: Terrible cover music, decent but slightly overpriced food (steak was good though despite being half literally raw), and extremely weird and rude service from our waiter for reasons I can’t fathom apart from his apparent hatred for working in hospitality. He must’ve been the owners weird son. Rest of the staff seemed nice though. Avoid like it’s Coronavirus. Looking forward to the owners hostile reply based on other reviews.

11/12/2024: Ich kann mich den positiven Rezensionen hier komplett anschließen. Das Lokal hat einen Schwerpunkt auf Fleischgerichten und das machen sie richtig gut. Service sehr aufmerksam, allerdings war bei miesem Wetter Mitte Oktober auch nicht so viel los. Das Ambiente ist sehr einladend und für ein ruhiges Abendessen als Paar gut geeignet. Natürlich ist Pogerola etwas abseits der Küste. Wir waren mit dem Bus da, Parken mit dem Auto am Strassenrand wäre aber auch gegangen.

29/10/2025: Service: The staff were standoffish and pushy, hovering to take our order before we had even looked at the menu. They continued to push the tasting menu despite our clear preference to share à la carte. Several staff members stood around watching guests’ every move, creating an uncomfortable environment. Despite so many staff waiting idly, service dropped off considerably once we ordered. Ambience: The space felt cold and uninviting – bright overhead lights, teal floors, and a few awkwardly spaced tables in the center made it resemble a cafeteria more than a restaurant. The room had an echo that only heightened the lack of warmth or atmosphere. With harsh lighting reflecting off the glass windows, there was no view to enjoy – only glare. View (or lack thereof): When we asked to sit outside on a clear, mild evening (around 65°F / 18°C), we were told the terrace was closed for the winter (early October). Given that other nearby restaurants had outdoor seating open with blankets or heaters, this seemed more like a choice of convenience than necessity. Food: The food was fine but unremarkable. The menu sounded more creative than what was actually served, and none of the dishes stood out. Prices were reasonable for Positano, but the overall experience was disappointing. I would not recommend dining here, even for those staying at the hotel.

04/10/2025: The food, service, and view are excellent. There are several tasting menus to choose from as well as à la carte and the wine list is well conceived and well priced. The entrance to the restaurant is a bit strange, as it is a hotel and the restaurant is down one floor from the lobby. Unfortunately, there was no one to greet us when we arrived, but we found our way. The one issue we had was the room itself. While the view is incomparable, the decor is dated and a bit sterile. Feels more like a wedding hall than a Michelin star restaurant. Once the tables filled in, it was a bit warmer, but the room could really stand a makeover. Food has a decidedly French flair and everything was perfectly cooked, perfectly served, and beautifully explained. Overall very enjoyable.

The staff greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that instantly made us feel at home. Everyone went above and beyond, but Alejandro stood out as truly exceptional — kind, attentive, and always one step ahead of what we needed. His professionalism and warmth made our stay extra special. The terrace and breakfast experience was beyond amazing. Every morning we were greeted by the most breathtaking view of Positano — a panorama of colorful homes cascading down the cliffs toward the sparkling sea. Sitting there with a cup of perfectly brewed coffee and a plate of freshly baked cakes and pastries felt like something out of a dream. The breakfast selection was generous and delicious, offering everything from fresh fruit and eggs to croissants straight from the oven. The room was spotless, comfortable, and filled with natural light, with a view that we’ll never forget. At night, we could sit on our balcony and listen to the sounds of the coast while watching the lights of Positano shimmer below. What really sets Hotel Conca d’Oro apart is the combination of outstanding service, warm hospitality, and an unbeatable location. It has that perfect balance of quiet relaxation and easy access to the heart of Positano. Yes, there are a few steps (as expected in Positano!), but every one of them is worth it for the incredible views and peaceful atmosphere that await you at the top. We left with full hearts and wonderful memories, already dreaming of coming back. Hotel Conca d’Oro is truly a gem — elegant, welcoming, and unforgettable. 🌸☕️🍰🌅🇮🇹

11/09/2025: I am confused by the high score that this restaurant achieves. I also note there are no pictures of pizza which is odd for a pizza restaurant. But having been there I now know why. It's terrible! It must be frozen pizza, the dough was strangely chewy, lacking the lightness or outer crispiness associated with a good pizza. The "for Di latte" looked like extremely old tough mozzarella, and the tomato sauce had a colour that was simply wrong. They did however serve a decent wine, however I'm not sure of the cost.

11/09/2025: We (a married couple) were there several times seven years ago. A quaint restaurant in the front area. The back area is somewhat reminiscent of a campsite restaurant. The waiter (presumably the owner) is the same as back then. He seems a bit edgy, but he can also smile sometimes. I had pasta Bolognese and a salata mista, and my wife had stuffed ravioli and stuffed zucchini blossom. We drank beer. Everything was delicious. We will be back.

20/07/2025: Locale con tavolini praticamente attaccati gli uni agli altri. Se prendete un calice di vino, questo deve avvenire al tavolo. Loro invece portano via i calici e li riportano pieni. Ma chi mi dice che il vino è quello scelto? E poi di solito il vino si fa assaggiare. Abbiamo preso due antipasti passibili e due risotti di mare che erano con del brodo. Non erano stati tirati bene. Non erano cattivi ma neppure un granché. Diciamo che è un ristorante molto turistico per grandi numeri.

03/11/2025: We went to this pizzeria on Saturday evening, choosing it for its proximity to the cinema where we had a 10:20 PM showing. I'd been there before (not on a Saturday) and had a positive experience, but unfortunately, I can't say the same this time. We had a reservation for 9 PM, thinking we'd have plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely dinner before the movie. We ordered two frittatas—really good and arrived almost immediately—and then waited for the pizzas. Too bad they didn't arrive until around 10:15 PM, after over an hour of waiting. Several tables who arrived after us received their pizzas first: I don't think ordering two frittatas should cause such a delay in getting our pizzas. Furthermore, the waitress almost served pizzas that weren't ours, which further increased the confusion and frustration, as well as being a sign of the confusion in the dining room. At 10 PM, we asked the waitress for information, and she assured us they were on their way... but we still had to wait another quarter of an hour. We ended up eating in a rush to make it to the cinema on time, without being able to enjoy the pizza at leisure—and this, despite being delicious, completely ruined the evening. The pizza dough is excellent, I have nothing to complain about (other than perhaps the slightly excessive price of €8.50 for a sausage and fries), but the slow service, combined with the fact that no one at the cashier even apologized for the wait or asked how it went, made the experience more than disappointing. I don't recommend coming here on a Saturday if you have plans after dinner: otherwise, plan at least two hours in advance; maybe, unlike us, you'll be able to eat at your leisure without having to throw the pizza down your face...
