18/10/2025: The location is beautiful (sea view, in a shaded garden) and the food was delicious. The prices are moderately high, but you can taste the quality and spend it happily. We didn't have any problems with waiting (as I read in other reviews), but it must be said that we ate very late, in a nearly empty restaurant. The staff was very friendly, and the overall experience was truly enjoyable. It's a shame to read so many negative reviews because it's a lovely place, with authentic cuisine (fresh and beautifully cooked fish, including fried fish that was nice and dry). You pay for the view (and the fame of Castellabate).

09/09/2025: Leaving the spa, we looked for a nearby pizzeria and it was a pleasant discovery, rated 8+. The place is a bit hidden, an old-fashioned restaurant with a few modern touches. The whole-wheat pizza was excellent, and the classic one was good. We also had a first course and second courses with sides, both simple but tasty. The waitress was very kind and helpful, but unfortunately she was alone in the dining room and the service was a bit slow. A little background music (radio or TV) would have been nice. Prices are moderately low.

15/09/2025: Nice and clean atmosphere. The pizza was good. The panuozzo had some cold pieces (they looked like they'd been taken out of the fridge). I removed them, and it was good. The only downside was that they turned off the air conditioning in the summer. We literally ran away. They turned it on when we asked, but it didn't help.

05/09/2025: A family-run establishment, it offers a nice selection of sandwiches, rotisserie appetizers, panuozzi, and pizzas, all of excellent quality and at fair prices.

18/09/2025: A delightful little restaurant on the lovely Scario waterfront. Delicious dishes, fresh ingredients, and attentive staff. The marinated anchovies, octopus Leuciana-style, and the mixed fried fish were excellent. Highly recommended!

29/10/2025: Service: The staff were standoffish and pushy, hovering to take our order before we had even looked at the menu. They continued to push the tasting menu despite our clear preference to share à la carte. Several staff members stood around watching guests’ every move, creating an uncomfortable environment. Despite so many staff waiting idly, service dropped off considerably once we ordered. Ambience: The space felt cold and uninviting – bright overhead lights, teal floors, and a few awkwardly spaced tables in the center made it resemble a cafeteria more than a restaurant. The room had an echo that only heightened the lack of warmth or atmosphere. With harsh lighting reflecting off the glass windows, there was no view to enjoy – only glare. View (or lack thereof): When we asked to sit outside on a clear, mild evening (around 65°F / 18°C), we were told the terrace was closed for the winter (early October). Given that other nearby restaurants had outdoor seating open with blankets or heaters, this seemed more like a choice of convenience than necessity. Food: The food was fine but unremarkable. The menu sounded more creative than what was actually served, and none of the dishes stood out. Prices were reasonable for Positano, but the overall experience was disappointing. I would not recommend dining here, even for those staying at the hotel.

04/10/2025: The food, service, and view are excellent. There are several tasting menus to choose from as well as à la carte and the wine list is well conceived and well priced. The entrance to the restaurant is a bit strange, as it is a hotel and the restaurant is down one floor from the lobby. Unfortunately, there was no one to greet us when we arrived, but we found our way. The one issue we had was the room itself. While the view is incomparable, the decor is dated and a bit sterile. Feels more like a wedding hall than a Michelin star restaurant. Once the tables filled in, it was a bit warmer, but the room could really stand a makeover. Food has a decidedly French flair and everything was perfectly cooked, perfectly served, and beautifully explained. Overall very enjoyable.

20/10/2025: We were with the family on Sunday, a beautiful place, delicious food, courtesy, kindness and helpfulness of the owner, compliments, honest prices, I will return. I recommend it

19/10/2025: Sunday, October 19, 2025, family dinner, 6 people, a 2-year-old girl, the agreed-upon price was 30 euros per person. At the end of lunch, the gentleman who had served us while we were there approached and asked, "What would you prefer? A bitter or a coffee?" We ordered 4 bitters and two coffees. When paying, he charged a 30-euro supplement for a half-plate of penne for the girl, and for the coffees and bitters. It should be noted that the dishes seemed to be reheated in the microwave, with food missing from the menu, and to top it all off, he didn't even try to give me a receipt. I won't even drive by this restaurant again. I forgot, on a sunny Sunday, with all the advertising this place does and the reasonable prices it charges, there were only 6 of us + the girl in the restaurant, completely empty. The ending we experienced, I explain, is one to be avoided like shingles.

Everyone went above and beyond, but Alejandro stood out as truly exceptional — kind, attentive, and always one step ahead of what we needed. His professionalism and warmth made our stay extra special. The terrace and breakfast experience was beyond amazing. Every morning we were greeted by the most breathtaking view of Positano — a panorama of colorful homes cascading down the cliffs toward the sparkling sea. Sitting there with a cup of perfectly brewed coffee and a plate of freshly baked cakes and pastries felt like something out of a dream. The breakfast selection was generous and delicious, offering everything from fresh fruit and eggs to croissants straight from the oven. The room was spotless, comfortable, and filled with natural light, with a view that we’ll never forget. At night, we could sit on our balcony and listen to the sounds of the coast while watching the lights of Positano shimmer below. What really sets Hotel Conca d’Oro apart is the combination of outstanding service, warm hospitality, and an unbeatable location. It has that perfect balance of quiet relaxation and easy access to the heart of Positano. Yes, there are a few steps (as expected in Positano!), but every one of them is worth it for the incredible views and peaceful atmosphere that await you at the top.
