29/11/2025: After a motorcycle ride through the breathtaking curves of the Alburni mountains, I let my instincts guide me and decided to stop here for lunch. A perfect choice. The owner welcomes me with a sincere smile and infectious passion: he describes each dish like a little family story. Everything is handmade, with local ingredients and zero compromise: only pure tradition. Intrigued, I start with an appetizer, continue with ravioli filled with ricotta and porcini mushrooms picked that morning, and finish with a house main course. Authentic, clear, almost forgotten flavors... the kind that immediately transport you to childhood, when every bite had a purpose. An address that exudes authenticity, perfect for those seeking sincere, local cuisine. I will definitely return.

04/11/2025: We booked this trattoria based on the high number of positive reviews, but upon arrival, we realized it left much to be desired, with its rather dated and shabby furnishings and style. Despite this, we sat down and were immediately greeted by the owner, who made us feel at home. The limited menu (since there were only eight of us, we were able to sample almost the entire menu) was brought directly to us on a large blackboard and explained by the owner. All the dishes were authentic and high-quality, without any frills. Highly recommended if you want to try typical Lucanian dishes.

09/12/2025: A wonderful experience. A very pleasant place, a quiet atmosphere. All the dishes were thoughtfully prepared, nothing was left to chance. The cod was truly well-cooked (I'm Roman), the fish soup was delicate and very balanced, and delicious. The cacio e pepe with mussels was excellent; perhaps the mussels were a bit lacking, but it was still an excellent dish. The apple dessert was very gourmet, and the crumble was delicious (perhaps a tad too much on the apples and cream). The wine selection was limited but unique. In short, amidst the plethora of Genovese and pizzas, it's a good thing someone is still resisting, cooking with pleasure and passion. Thanks for a wonderful dinner.

07/12/2025: Caseificio La Giara is a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience the true flavor of Cilento. The tasting menu is generous and excellent value. Fresh, artisanal, and high-quality mozzarella and cheeses are served. The welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home. Highly recommended!

A warm welcome, authentic flavors, and aromas that speak of the passion of those who work with love. We had a divine lunch, featuring exceptional first courses and cheeses, and took some of that unique flavor home with us. Everything was delicious, highly recommended!

14/10/2025: Zou is a super friendly waiter. He speaks several languages, including German and French. My first pasta Genovese was simply amazing. Also, perfect Neapolitan pizza.

02/11/2025: We ate divinely well, leaving aside the enormous dishes. We started with a huge house appetizer, then moved on to stuffed calamari and meatballs in grandma's sauce, and finished with amazing desserts. My favorite was the pistachio tiramisu. All this was complemented by the friendliness of the owner, accompanied by her two very kind twin sons. We'll be back soon.

19/09/2025: Vacation period from September 15th to 25th, as a couple. Characteristic place, fantastic views, beautiful clean sea, crystal clear waters, few free public beaches, small but clean and tidy. Private beaches are generally overpriced, especially considering our time of year. Parking and taxi fares for short trips are also too high. Even buses cost €5 per ticket for a 2km ride. It seems excessive to me. Very narrow and winding roads with significant climbs and descents, where even with a speed limit of 30km/h, residents (knowing the roads well) drive full blast, resulting in high risks on the curves, most of the time with no visibility. Also, for us, who are here in the S. Angelo area, 2km away. Getting there on foot is a challenge (especially for me, a 74-year-old who's just recently had a hip replacement) with steep inclines, and long, steep steps with steps higher than normal (like Lenten penances). Our hotel also has steps everywhere, no elevator, and it's certainly not wheelchair-accessible. So, all things considered, I don't think I'll be returning to Ischia unless I find a beachfront hotel with breakfast and dinner at a decent price that won't cost me a kidney for the stay! 🤭🙄😳😉

22/12/2025: The atmosphere is small but welcoming and well-maintained. The staff is very efficient. Typical flavors, generous portions, and excellent value. Both the meat and fish dishes are excellent. I recommend the Genoese-style first and second courses, both delicious and flavorful.

17/12/2025: We went last night (Tuesday, December 16th) following the reviews of those who preceded us. I can only confirm...we were thrilled with the dinner. The Genovese was exceptional, as was the pasta with potatoes and provolone! The meatballs, on the other hand...are to die for! We finished with the baba, which was also delicious! Add to all this the courtesy and professionalism of the wait staff, in a pleasantly refined and spotlessly clean environment! I will definitely find new excuses to eat here. Truly, congratulations!

Well done, The new management has greatly improved the menu, with unique first courses and richer presentation for the second courses. Their slight lack of experience is compensated for with great kindness and empathy...

26/10/2025: A lovely little restaurant with a sea view. The service was very friendly and extremely helpful. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes, and the wait between the starter and the main course took less than five minutes. The price of the meal, at around €20 per course, wasn't exactly cheap, but it was definitely justified for the quality. The dishes were beautifully presented, and both my starter and main course tasted almost like they would in a Michelin-starred restaurant. The restaurant is located right on the beach, and in the evenings, you have a wonderful view of the sun setting over the horizon. The decor is simple yet chic, and the cozy atmosphere is further enhanced by well-chosen, yet not too loud, music. The only contrast to this is the staff, dressed in casual clothes, which doesn't detract too much from the atmosphere. All in all, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

07/12/2025: Delicious pizza, attentive and friendly service. The only drawback is the location, which is difficult to find for non-Neapolitans, but once you get there, it's well worth the effort.
