10/12/2025: A very well-kept and welcoming trattoria in the historic center of Aiello Calabro. We were a group of friends; they served a generous appetizer, then we ordered some first courses. The cold cuts were standard; I really liked the cheeses, but they were tiny pieces. There were some vegetables—broccoli, carrots, squash, and onion—that didn't make me say "wow." I tried two first courses: tagliatelle with truffle, which I thought was a little salty and a bit loose; tagliatelle with guanciale and fennel, which were really good! Of course, it's a matter of taste. Friendly and courteous service. Excellent bill!

04/11/2025: Today we went to this typical tavern, the appetizer was superb, tagliatelle with freshly picked porcini mushrooms... excellent... what can I say, everything was very good... the bill was reasonable... we will definitely be back...

16/11/2025: Sunday as the first king in Fuscaldo with friends, tasting exceptional Japanese-Calabrian cuisine from chef Akito, from deconstructed sushi, passanado to ramen with marinated egg and many other things. Well done everyone!

29/03/2026: The worst pastry shop in Paola, which sells defrosted croissants and desserts topped with ready-made creams in jars, reselling products such as pastieri, colombe, and eggs from discount stores, passing them off as artisanal.

07/12/2025: Excellent, excellent, excellent. I was craving meat and decided to go to this place on the recommendation of some friends. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing, perfect for a dinner for two or with friends. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Let's move on to the highlight, the meat: simply perfect. I had a classic tagliata with arugula, cherry tomatoes, and parmesan, followed by the fillet with pecorino fondue and crispy guanciale, delicious. The prices are fair, in line with the local average. I recommend making a reservation, as the dining room isn't very large. I'll be back!

01/08/2025: If you're looking for places that know how to cook meat well, you can't miss this place. Besides offering high-quality, well-prepared food, it also offers excellent service in a pleasant location on Via Rossini. Definitely worth a try!

06/03/2026: I've been to this sandwich shop twice, and the experience was overall very positive. The first time, I tried a zucchini and ricotta sandwich (I don't remember the name, though), which was truly delicious: even though I'd already eaten too many fries, it was so good I finished it all! The prices are absolutely reasonable, too. On our second visit, on a Saturday evening, we were seated right away, even though the place was packed, which is a huge plus for the organization. We grabbed some fries while we waited: they were good, although the cheddar had a slightly bitter aftertaste that didn't entirely convince me. As for my pumpkin cream and shrimp sandwich, I found a small piece of plastic inside (probably from the shrimp packaging). I didn't report it because it was late and I wasn't very hungry anymore, but I'm writing this as constructive criticism: a little more attention to cleaning the ingredients would make everything impeccable, though I understand that human error can happen in a busy kitchen. A note on the atmosphere: the tables are quite close together, and especially on Saturdays when the place is packed, it can get quite noisy. It's not impossible to talk, but the atmosphere is decidedly chaotic and lively. You may or may not like it, but then again, it's fine for a Saturday night. Overall, it's still a very good place for the quality of the dishes and the prompt service of the staff, who are always present and attentive to each customer.

24/02/2026: A beautiful pub, very refined and elegant. Excellent selection of international beers. Large menu of sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and much more. Professional and efficient service. Fair prices. Occasionally live music.

21/02/2026: Thanks to a friend's recommendation, today, February 21st, after a wonderful morning in the mountains, we decided to stop here for lunch... and it was a fantastic discovery! There were nine of us, and we were greeted with a kindness and professionalism that are not at all taken for granted these days. The owner, young but incredibly talented in the kitchen, shows passion, care, and expertise in every dish. His partner, equally kind and attentive, makes you feel right at home. We ate wonderfully: exceptional first courses, truly tasty second courses, quality ingredients, and generous portions (always a pleasure!). The house rosé wine? Simply fabulous, perfect with lunch. You can see there's real commitment behind this place. Knowing they've only been running it for a year makes it all the more admirable: they're doing an extraordinary job. We'll definitely be back every time we pass by. Best of luck to this wonderful couple: keep up the good work, guys, because you're on the right path! 👏🍷🔥

Mi sono trovata bene, il cibo è stato di mio gradimento, i prezzi più che ragionevoli, la carne buona e la pizza bassa e croccante come piace a me. Servizio rapido. 23/01/2025: A quiet, welcoming, and family-friendly restaurant-pizzeria where I dined à la carte once and tried the pizza a second time. I had a great time; the food was to my liking, the prices more than reasonable, the meat good, and the pizza thin and crispy, just the way I like it. Service was quick. The waiter and cashier were friendly and helpful. Recommended.

The elegant and welcoming location made the evening special, while the kindness and helpfulness of the staff made us feel pampered from start to finish. Special praise to the staff who, despite their professionalism, even had to deal with a table full of crazy and ridiculous complaints just to avoid paying the due amount: a petty and embarrassing attitude that bears nothing in common with the quality and professionalism of this establishment. For us, it remains a place of absolute excellence, which we recommend without hesitation to anyone seeking an authentic, tasteful, and classy experience.

15/03/2026: When you step foot into Gino's restaurant, you're no longer in Rende, but straight into China! There are places that aren't simply restaurants, but part of your personal history. For me, Gino's "Pechino" is one of them. I've been going there since I was little, and it's where I discovered what it truly means to eat properly prepared Chinese cuisine. In a city full of places offering confusing menus—sushi next to frozen "Chinese dishes"—Pechino is one of the very few places left serving authentic Chinese cuisine, with respect for tradition and quality. The difference is immediately noticeable: many dishes are clearly handmade (I highly recommend the egg rolls and the sweet and sour pork), with textures, aromas, and flavors that have nothing in common with the frozen or industrial products that unfortunately can be found in so many other low-quality restaurants. It's thanks to this place that I learned to recognize the difference between a prepared dish and a "reheated" one. If you want to experience real Chinese cuisine—the kind that's authentic, carefully prepared, and made with care—Gino's is a must. Recommended for anyone who wants to go beyond and discover something authentic!
