15/05/2026: I attended a children's birthday party, but I wasn't impressed. They asked for zero-sugar drinks, which arrived at the end of the party. There was a lot of confusion with the children, and when bringing something to the adults, they were thrown away so casually even though there was room for it to be arranged properly.

24/05/2026: Visited during the afternoon on a beautiful day. Quiet, charming town with the best pizza in the world!!!!!! Sit in the shade outside with a cold beer and enjoy a unique spot. The gentleman that served us was very kind and welcoming. Thank you!!!!

The quality of the ingredients is evident throughout, as is the dedication put into preparing the dishes. 💯 The place isn't very large, with plenty of space between tables, and it's tastefully decorated. The waiter was very friendly, helpful, and courteous! 🌟

25/04/2026: Well done. A pizza with a dough and a method that yields a very personal product. The ingredients are carefully selected, as are the flavor combinations. The savory maritozzo with octopus and chicken curry is superb. The wait staff is very knowledgeable. Service is fast. The restaurant is modern, understated, and clean.

07/09/2025: The pizza was good, and the terrace was beautiful for outdoor dining. The staff was friendly and attentive to customer requests. My only complaint was that the place was packed, so service wasn't the fastest, but that's okay. It was understandable and didn't cause any inconvenience. They're great, and I highly recommend them.

Since 2026, the menu has had new specialty pizzas that I highly recommend trying. I've dined here about 20 times, and each time, the positive story repeats itself...

19/01/2026: Emilio, the owner, was immediately available and friendly as soon as he saw us come in. He let us choose a table, and we took advantage of the opportunity to get one for six, but there were only two of us; it wasn't as crowded as the last time we came, so we were comfortable. Valentina, smiling and attentive, immediately offered us a taste of the IMPACCHIUSE potatoes, a local specialty. If I have to point out a flaw, I can only complain about the speed of service. I had a lamb tagliata on a red-hot griddle, which I had already had the first time; I remembered it as fantastic, and it once again confirmed Vernante's unique 450-day tradition of goodness. My other half had a Margherita with porcini mushrooms, exceptional; for us Neapolitans, it was a real surprise. They were great, friendly, and very fast. Our favorite place in Rende. In the summer, being outside will be even more pleasant. I forgot, they also offered us a Nutella donut 😋😋😋😋😋 at the end. 29/03/2026: The worst pastry shop in Paola, which sells defrosted croissants and desserts topped with ready-made creams in jars, reselling products such as pastieri, colombe, and eggs from discount stores, passing them off as artisanal.

01/01/2026: Exquisite pastries Top-notch mini pastries. Super fresh creams. Highly recommended if you're in Paola. Don't blame your doctor if he puts you on a diet.

27/04/2026: If you want to be poisoned, you can visit this place. My husband, children, and I will never return. First of all, the staff doesn't understand English, which is quite strange for a 21st-century resort. The interior is quite interesting, but the wine collection with dictator portraits caught my eye – this is unacceptable these days. There's a massive understaffing – the same people who serve you prepare food in the kitchen, without professional kitchen attire. Furthermore, instead of using the restroom, my husband accidentally peeked into the kitchen – it was very dirty and smelled foul. We ordered toast and found moldy cheese in it. And most importantly, and most surprising – they don't know how to make coffee in Italy, especially cappuccino: it's just foam, no creamy consistency. The place is located right in the city center, in a fairly good location, but the lack of hygiene doesn't compensate. There are also plenty of tables – if someone else is sitting next to you, you feel like you're part of their group. So if you want to get food poisoning and ruin your Italian experience, this is the place. We came here for vacation and it was recommended, but it turned out to be a place to avoid.

22/04/2026: On the main street, a stylish place with outdoor seating. Excellent coffee at the counter, a friendly welcome. Next time I'm in Scalea, I'll try the gelato; they say it's excellent.

08/08/2025: Marzia, the owner's daughter, was extremely kind and helpful with all my requests. She let me store my e-bike safely, provided me with a Wi-Fi extender since the connection was spotty and I needed it for work, and even gave me a discount on my final payment, even though the agreed-upon price for the week was already favorable. The breakfast included in the price was good and satisfying. The room cleaning staff were exceptionally kind and friendly. Just steps from the beach, it's the perfect place to relax on site or drive to nearby attractions. I can't wait to return.
