02/10/2025: A well-maintained and clean family-run country farmhouse nestled in the hills overlooking the coast between Torremezzo and Fiumefreddo. Excellent food. Perhaps they should organize a menu, otherwise you'll only get to try the appetizer, which is abundant with delicious homemade products. The formula is that they bring you the appetizer as soon as you arrive without asking for anything. Then, once you're full, they come and tell you about the two first courses of the day and the main course, which is usually a mixed grill (others are available upon request at the time of booking and subject to availability). We paid €25 for an appetizer, which, given the abundance and quality of the ingredients, is reasonable, but it's still an appetizer.

07/09/2025: First time there. Classic agritourism food. Everything was good. Service was a bit slow but friendly. The atmosphere was clean. The only truly terrible thing was the bad smell that probably came from the shoulders. It was nauseating. The price was normal, I think.

21/09/2025: We were there yesterday, and I have to say everything was great. The chef looked after us the whole time, and the food was excellent! We even had a dog with us, and it wasn't a problem! We'll be back 😊

I felt incredibly well cared by the staff, despite our language differences, we got along great. 22/10/2025: Ristorante Barbieri is a special place, tied to my family memories: it was my grandfather's favorite place whenever he craved mushrooms, and now I understand why. We started with an appetizer featuring porcini mushrooms, prepared in various ways—roasted, stewed, fried, and breaded—all truly delicious. The fresh pasta with mushrooms for the first course was equally exceptional, fragrant and rich in flavor. The quality was top-notch, with generous portions and more than fair prices. Special mention to Luigi, who pampered us and we chatted for a while. He's truly professional and kind. The shop is also beautiful, where you can buy their own preserves and products in oil. A simple but unforgettable lunch: I'll definitely return every time I pass through Altomonte.

10/10/2025: The restaurant enjoys a beautiful view of Altomonte's historic center and the surrounding landscapes. The cuisine is homemade, made with simple, authentic ingredients that are treated with great care and skill. We started off strong with an aperitif of homemade sauces, crusko peppers, and Sila potato chips. The hot appetizers were plentiful and tasty, as was the juniper-infused leg of mutton stew we ordered for our second course. The quality/price ratio is also excellent. Definitely worth a detour!

22/09/2025: We went on a Saturday evening. It's a true, traditional trattoria, simple, and has the atmosphere of old-fashioned eateries. The host is extremely kind and helpful. The mixed antipasto, fusilli all'aietana, and grilled veal steak with eggplant and mushrooms were all excellent and the portions generous. The prices were more than fair. It was a pleasure dining here.

02/10/2025: I rarely write reviews for average establishments. I usually do so if I'm particularly happy or unhappy with them. Almost never if asked. In this case, the review is extremely positive. Excellent staff in every area and excellent food. I'd say the fact that the establishment isn't modern allows for excellent value, and it's all managed by a great person, Rodolfo, a man of few words but great sensitivity. A place worth visiting because it does good in every sense.

25/10/2025: Pizza party with friends, preceded by an aperitif served in the entrance hall. The pizza was good and easy to digest, even though I had a "full" meal. The aperitif was accompanied only by a few chips, but the wine was good.
