In fact there was a reason I must say high quality truly impeccable service the place is very nice and the price/quality ratio is practically unbeatable. Certainly among the best fish restaurants in Rende and Cosenza.

06/06/2025: Extremely high-quality food with great service in a fantastic atmosphere. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone when they're in Civita. I foolishly tried something else first and wasted an evening doing so. As for the food... The starter consisted of a delicious ball of carrot, bread, and almonds in a delicious carrot sauce. Next came a kind of potato croquette with bacon in an oregano sauce. Wow. To finish, there were three varieties of pecorino and a local ham. We regretted only asking for half a portion of the starter. It was delicious. For the main course, we had ragu bianco with homemade pasta, and for the second course, roast veal. The meat was divine and extremely tender. The sauce was light, and I drenched it all in the homemade bread. The homemade pasta was excellent. The ragu bianco was perfect. ``` We also ordered a great rosé from an excellent wine list (approx. 25 wines). The waiter gave us perfect advice. He was very friendly, and it was a pleasure to be served impeccably by him. The portions are sized so that you can truly enjoy the classic Italian menu, consisting of an appetizer, first course, and second course, without feeling gluttonous or hungry at the end of the meal. P.S. As a passionate amateur cook who has traveled extensively around the world, I have rarely been so impressed. Buon appetito P.S. 21/05/2025: Our group of cyclists arrived in San Donato on Wednesday 21st May. The owner, Mr. Luigi, opened the "Baita" just for us, preparing delicacies that satisfied our huge appetite! We were all really impressed by the availability, hospitality and friendliness of Mr. Luigi. Compliments for the beautiful place and for the love you put into every dish!! THANK YOU from all of us❤️

26/05/2025: The hotel is built close to the course of a river, which provides a relaxing background. Our room (a double) was simple, clean and equipped with all the necessary comforts. We slept pleasantly, the owner was friendly and attentive to our requests. The breakfast the next morning was plentiful and varied, from sweet to savory with the addition of scrambled eggs made on the spot. The room overlooks the woods and offers a beautiful view. The parking area is internal and large. The structure has different solutions for bedrooms, from singles to quadruples. The location of the Hotel is close to the center of the village, small but folkloristic. There are some places open in the evening and we participated in a nice village festival in the square. Thanks for the hospitality, we will be back!

01/05/2025: We booked a quadruple room for the long weekend of April 25th, spacious room, excellent location of the hotel, private parking, Roberto the owner very helpful, he advised us on the best places to see and where to eat. When I return to Laino Borgo I will definitely return to Palia's.

18/05/2025: Ritorno per la seconda volta in questo bellissimo locale dove è una gioia persino leggere il menù, ho apprezzato il sito dove ho prenotato con una facilità e comodità unica. Ho voluto provare la pizza dedicata al grande Brunori ed è stata una vera e propria melodia, io che non mangio friarielli, ho apprezzato invece tutti gli ingredienti, unica pecca è stato purtroppo il rilascio di troppo olio risultato quindi pesante, la pizza però è finita lo stesso. Alla prossima!!!

31/05/2025: We spent one night there with our camper. It's just a few minutes from the highway. The price was €20, including electricity and hot showers. The restrooms were clean and perfectly fine. The area is stunning. We had dinner at the agriturismo and were delighted. Antipasti, handmade pasta, meat, fruit, dessert, coffee, wine, water, and liqueur for €25. Absolutely delicious! The family was very friendly!

18/05/2025: Highly recommended! We stayed here for Labor Day. The place is wonderful, both for the general structure (rooms, etc.) and for the restaurant and food. The Italian-Argentine waiter who served us dinner was a very kind and pleasant person.

13/05/2025: We chose the masseria to celebrate our daughter's baptism and we couldn't have made a better choice. Location, food and organization breathtaking. Staff kind and available for all our requests. The chef delighted the palates of each of us with fish, meat or vegetarian menus. Each of us was delighted in the same way. The service equally attentive and precise. Mrs. Piera with her precision for details and with her kindness stole the hearts of each of us. Very happy for everything, we will definitely return.

25/05/2025: We went for dinner on Friday, attracted by the proposal of a barbecue accompanied by live music with the trio Tocci, Arnieri and De Rose. The premises were excellent: convivial atmosphere, good food and live entertainment. However, the overall experience did not reflect expectations. The staff was courteous, but unfortunately very difficult to find during the evening. The waiting times were long and even simple requests such as water, bread or cutlery required more promptness. We ordered three main courses, but only one arrived initially. When we asked for clarification, we were confidently told that everything was there, leaving us a bit perplexed. The quality of the meat served was uneven, with some pieces well cooked and others very hard or burnt. The ‘mpacchiuse potatoes, ordered in two portions, were served in a truly minimal quantity. A big round of applause goes to the musicians, who performed with passion and professionalism, even if the environment did not favor listening due to the acoustics and background noise. Unfortunately, the evening, which could have been pleasant, was disappointing in several respects. We hope that the venue can improve the management of the service, because the idea behind the event is valid.

13/06/2025: Beautiful experience! With colleagues we ate very well and the quality/price ratio is perfect. The dishes are all prepared with great care, you can see that the chef is really good. While his wife, in the dining room, is very attentive to the customers and is able to explain all the products well and give excellent advice for choosing one dish or another. In particular I appreciated the idea of ​​making half portions (as a base on 50 grams of pasta), so whoever wants can also try two different dishes or ask for a maxi portion. Go there with your eyes closed because it is so worth it, compliments to all the staff and the family! I'm sorry I didn't take more photos to be able to show the refined appearance of the dishes, I only thought about the dessert 🤤

11/06/2025: Taverna degli Ammirati turned out to be an extraordinary surprise!!! The cuisine offers Calabria in all its gastronomic facets. The proposal divided into "proteins" and "carbohydrates" is excellent, allowing you to choose many combinations of dishes. Skillful use of raw materials. Excellent wine list. Excellent and attentive service. Excellent value for money. A place to return to as soon as possible. Thank you!!

23/04/2025: We have chosen to celebrate our wedding vows in this wonderful place. It wasn't our first event that we celebrated at Villa Pergamena, but we always return to where we had a good time! Mrs. Ester, a kind, patient and big-hearted person; the maître, Franco Pistoia, a nice, kind and professional person, attentive to every detail; the cheerful and kind waiters, the exquisite food, the rich, exquisite, refined buffet of starters, with attention to the smallest details. What about the location, an enchanting place, the well-kept gardens and the starry sky create a unique atmosphere! We will keep another beautiful memory of this place and, without a doubt, we will return!
