10/11/2025: A truly pleasant experience! The cuisine is truly delicate, with attention to every detail and dishes prepared with quality ingredients. The place is welcoming, clean, and very well-kept. The staff is extremely kind and attentive; they even lent us an umbrella to walk to our car in the rain, a gesture that shows great courtesy and customer care. We'll definitely be back!

20/10/2025: We chose Palia's Hotel as a strategic base for exploring Calabria's parks by bike, and it was a great choice. Ample parking, including a covered car park, a private garage for bicycles (with tools for minor maintenance available), comfortable and clean rooms, and the kindness and enthusiasm of Roberto (the owner), who, along with his wife (an excellent pastry chef), recommended and prepared superb breakfasts for us, making themselves available for any needs we had. It's a shame they no longer have a restaurant, but the bar is well-stocked, and there's a large display of excellent local products you can purchase to create a wonderful memory of these beautiful lands. Thanks again.

07/09/2025: La Baita was a pleasant confirmation, the owner was extremely kind, and the staff was knowledgeable. They immediately set up a table inside because it was a bit chilly in the evening... but let's talk about the food! Excellent! The Aieta ham is always a guarantee of delicacy, the ricotta is top-notch, the pasta is all homemade, the tomato ravioli are delicate and delicious, as is the lagane (tagliolini) with local chickpeas... It's definitely worth the drive up to this village... a restaurant open all year round that "consoles" you with its food culture. P.S. Sorry for the photos... we dusted everything...

13/09/2025: I was traveling and when I saw the sign (mi'Ndujo), it caught my eye, and out of curiosity, I decided to stop in, without anyone having told me about it or having read any reviews. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the sandwiches were delicious, so I recommend it, and when I come back, I'll definitely stop in again. 😉

13/09/2025: The employee, Davide Muoio, displays the menus in a deceptive manner when ordering. I asked for traditional fries, without the added fondue or anything else, and my receipt included four packets of ketchup and mayonnaise, for a total of €1.20 more. The problem isn't the negligible extra charge, but rather the way he's fooling the customer. I reported the matter to the person in charge, who justified his actions by saying he'd offered me three different options: fries with fondue, with bacon, or classic fries with the added sauces. That's the problem! I wanted traditional fries, without sauces, so he should have offered a fourth option as well… A chain this successful can't afford these low-profile games.

10/11/2025: For work in Trebisacce, I stayed two nights at this masseria. Beautiful views, a beautiful complex, and excellent food. Excellent for events and vacations, with a lovely outdoor pool.

25/09/2025: We were here just for dinner. There are two menus: fish or meat. We each had one, and both were excellent. The service is very attentive and friendly. There's a good wine selection. We've been here several times now and will be back soon. Even when we bring friends, everyone is always impressed.

09/11/2025: We were in Calabria for 24 hours, yet we ate at Osteria San Francesco twice. A friend recommended this restaurant to us, and I have to say it was one of the most beautiful and authentic experiences I'll ever remember in this region. The restaurant, run by two brothers, is small but very welcoming. The food is amazing, and Francesco is a truly friendly person. What I also really appreciated was the atmosphere in this restaurant: there are only a few seats, and the people at the various tables chat as if they've known each other forever. 28/09/2025: A truly excellent family-run restaurant. We're obviously talking about a small town setting: you won't find Barolo risotto, Quiche Lorraine, Confit de Canard, or other gourmet dishes. But here in Santa Domenica and the surrounding area, it's one of the best restaurants: a truly deserved 5 stars, thanks to its simple, traditional, authentic, and delicious cuisine. There's nothing better for spending an evening with family or friends on a budget (I've attached the entire menu), eating well without feeling full, in a pleasant setting (a large, glass-enclosed terrace with spectacular views, suitable even in winter) with efficient and courteous service. Be careful with the appetizers, which are always generous: the house appetizer (€18 for 2) is supposed to serve two, but is more than enough for three. The first courses are excellent. The "della casa" and "bellavista" cavatielli are particularly popular, as are the ravioli and, for those who like spicy food, the "paccheri alla calabrese." A friend of mine comes here especially for the wild boar ragù: in his opinion, it's the best he's ever eaten. One small flaw is the second course menu: it's a bit limited in terms of selection and exclusively for meat. The positive aspects are that, after the appetizer and first course, you usually skip the second course and move straight to dessert; the meat is also excellent. The desserts are typically homemade: varied and traditional, that is, rustic, all homemade by Mrs. Michelle. Very good in my opinion, but those who don't appreciate this kind of thing can happily opt for the exquisite sorbets and Sicilian granitas. The pizzeria offers a wide selection, excellent quality (if you like your pizza not too thick, known here as "Roman-style"), and above all, affordable. Parking is on the street and isn't always easy. The restrooms are clean but space is limited, making it somewhat difficult for wheelchair users. Finally, the terrace is not accessible (it's on the first floor, with rather narrow stairs). The view, however, is spectacular even from the ground floor.

28/10/2025: Absolute luxury! One of the best pizzas I've ever had – the dough was perfect, crispy yet fluffy, the ingredients were fresh and the taste was perfectly balanced. The service was nice, fast and the atmosphere was pleasant. When you say Italy, this is exactly how I imagine a real pizza – simple, honest and irresistibly tasty. I will definitely come back here every time I visit Scalea! 🇮
