Ristorante 1999 In Maratea

Strolling near the port, we were drawn to the restaurant's small terrace overlooking the sea. We were greeted by the friendliness and warmth of one of the owners, followed by the delicious food, which made us appreciate the place even more. Attentive service and quality cuisine! Highly recommended!

Pino, the owner, is a very friendly and helpful person. Fast service and high-quality ingredients. We happened upon it by chance for storage of our boat. The price is reasonable for the quality. A charming location on the port of Maratea.

The restaurant enjoys a lovely location on the harbor. I expected better, especially from the first courses they themselves promote: tortelli and spaghetti with anchovies. Everyone is friendly, from the owners to the staff, but the bill isn't worth the experience. The roast octopus with orange and ginger marmalade is excellent.

I give 1999 Il Ristorante 5 stars because it's a true gem overlooking the port of Maratea. The location is spectacular: dining with a view of the sea and the boats creates an elegant, romantic, and relaxing atmosphere. The cuisine is the highlight. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the quality of the ingredients is immediately apparent. The spaghetti with clams is flavorful and well-balanced, the paccheri with seafood is rich and fragrant, while the catch of the day is cooked simply yet impeccably, showcasing the flavors of the Mediterranean. The appetizers are also plentiful and carefully presented. The service is professional, friendly, and attentive to detail. The staff offers excellent recommendations for both dishes and wines, creating a complete experience from start to finish. The wine list is well-stocked and offers excellent local options. Not having a Michelin star doesn't mean a lack of quality: the guide primarily recognizes restaurants with highly technical and innovative haute cuisine. Here, the focus is on excellence, authenticity, and atmosphere, and the result is extraordinary. A memorable experience, high quality, and a unique view: a well-deserved 5 stars.

A place with a beautiful view, unfortunately the place is surrounded by flies. Long pasta dishes served with a priest's dish that is absolutely not suitable for the type of pasta. Excessive prices for the quality served. In short, absolutely not to be missed. The only good thing was the wine, but why don't they produce it?

A coastal village restaurant specializing in pasta, and very good pasta at that. I think the carbonara is made to order. It took them over 30 minutes for the first and only course: spaghetti carbonara, which was amazing—the best carbonara my daughter has ever had, wow! For my part, the Bolognese wasn't as special... but it was good. We would definitely go back. But knowing that it's a slow burn...

We had fish. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The service was good.
