20/08/2025: In the picturesque setting of Montescaglioso, the Gallitelli butcher shop stands out for its vast selection of meats, especially its horsemeat. The carefully prepared meats, both for takeout and for dining in, are grilled and top-quality. The spacious interior and outdoor space accommodate large banquets. Highly recommended.

16/11/2025: We arrived for lunch on a weekday without a reservation, and even though they were redecorating, we were greeted warmly. We ate the best crusco pepper pasta dish in Basilicata.

12/11/2025: I went to Ristorante Oliver in Senise for work. I couldn't have asked for anything more. The owner, who personally served us, is an exceptional woman. The food, which also showcases local produce, is high-quality and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is refined, clean, and relaxing: I had a room all to myself. And I was even able to choose the background music myself. Highly recommended if you're passing through Senise.

This place is much more than just a bar; it's a haven of authenticity and warmth, thanks to the owner's exceptional hospitality. From the moment you walk in the door, you'll be greeted with a warm smile and a friendly atmosphere. The owner is not only an excellent host, but is also always available for a chat, sharing helpful information about the city and its attractions. The quality of the croissants and our cappuccinos was excellent, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. Il Sedile is a place where even non-Matera visitors will feel at home. The owner is always ready to provide valuable information and recommendations for places to visit. In short, Il Sedile is highly recommended for anyone visiting Matera. The combination of warm service, high-quality products, and a welcoming, non-touristy atmosphere makes this place an experience we'll never forget. Stop for a bite to eat and a chat with the owner – it's definitely worth it!

10/08/2025: A highly recommended place – everything here is just right. From the moment you enter, you are warmly greeted and looked after by the extremely friendly staff. The menu offers a very good selection, the quality of the food and drinks is outstanding, and everything is offered at absolutely fair prices. One detail that particularly stands out: The restrooms are exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and – something unusual in Italy – equipped with a toilet seat and sufficient toilet paper. This shows how much emphasis is placed on comfort and cleanliness here. No matter what time of day you come – whether for breakfast, a relaxed lunch, a leisurely dinner, or just for a drink – you always feel welcome here. The location is perfect: right in the center and directly across from the church, so you can wonderfully observe the hustle and bustle of the town. A place you'll gladly return to and one I can wholeheartedly recommend.

16/11/2025: The place is very nice and the staff very attentive. I ordered a filet alla Rossini because I was craving meat. They asked me how I wanted it cooked and explained that it would come with potatoes and Madeira sauce. When I cut into my steak, it turned out to be a beet! I couldn't believe it. It wasn't even good enough for a vegan dish. A vegan dish is prepared, not just a boiled beet. Anyway, they replaced it and admitted their mistake. They brought me some very well-prepared meat, but a very small portion. And everything was very expensive. But the beet incident will go down in history as a funny anecdote.

01/11/2025: Welcoming and modern place, but it's a shame we waited an hour for service even though we had a reservation. The food was good, not excellent; we didn't find any local flavors. The kids' tomato pasta was made with pasta e fagioli sauce. The pizza was delicious.

30/10/2025: Very cute and rustic place. Fast and friendly service, and very good food. I only found one of the two starters and the dessert to be bland.

02/12/2025: The pizzas are excellent, as are the various menus. Prices are very reasonable. It's a shame that on some pre-holiday evenings there's a bit of a wait. But you know: where there are lots of people, the food is good and the price is low.

09/09/2025: I've been going to this place for at least 15 years: everything is good, and it's a quiet place that everyone can enjoy. The only downside is that, since it's often very crowded, Enzo (the owner) sometimes forgets to serve you at your table. Overall, I recommend everyone to come to this bar and pastry shop: it's truly excellent!

25/11/2025: A typical seaside hotel. The interior is showing its age, although some of the room finishes are appreciable. The staff is very young and helpful; perhaps lacking in attention, but certainly pleasant, and any small shortcomings are readily forgiven. The breakfast isn't particularly extensive, but the products are high-quality. The price, finally, is reasonably reasonable, especially considering the service received.

15/09/2025: A good pizza that didn't make us wait long for the service, especially from a young worker who behaved really badly and rudely. If I had been alone, I would have left.

13/09/2025: On weekends, you'll have to wait if you've decided to order pizza, which is still very light and tasty. Prices are average. The desserts are also good, although the one I ordered, the namelaka, despite listing dark chocolate among the ingredients, had very little of it!
