04/08/2025: La nostra permanenza è durata poco,ma abbiamo avuto il piacere di essere accolti e coccolati da Rossana e Antonio...personale gentilissimo e disponibilissimo con noi e con la nostra bambina... abbiamo cenato,pernottato e fatto colazione...tutti prodotti tipici e homemade....la cena dall'antipasto al dolce fino all'amaro è stato un viaggio tra i sapori della Basilicata e la colazione ci ha fatto sentire a casa con una carrellata di ciambelle crostate plumcake da leccarsi i baffi... consigliatissimo!

27/07/2025: Siamo ormai reduci della "Locanda di San Francesco" siamo stati tante volte, sia in gruppo ma anche soli, ogni volta è sempre un avventura straordinaria. Il posto è bellissimo, pulito, profumato e ordinato, si mangia divinamente bene con prodotti tipici locali di alta qualità, si riposa serenamente, con un panorama mozzafiato e una brezza piacevolissima, e un silenzio travolgente..... Il proprietario Antonio, sempre attento e disponibile per qualsiasi esigenza del cliente, così come tutto il suo staff...... Consiglio una visita dopo aver svolto le molteplici attività che si possono fare in zona quali acqua trekking, rafting, river tubing..... Ecc... Ecc..... Volendo trovare un difetto proprio non c'è 😅

25/07/2025: An absolutely wonderful experience – it truly felt like stepping into a fairytale. We stayed here for 2 nights in July for summer holiday, and were completely enchanted by the surroundings. The cozy farmhouse overlooks endless wheat fields, which had just been harvested when we arrived. The golden landscape stretched out to the horizon – peaceful, dreamy, and simply stunning. Every morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast, beautifully presented and full of variety. It was the perfect start to the day, enjoyed in a calm and charming countryside setting. The host was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. They gave us great recommendations for hidden gems around Matera that we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. Everything about this place brought a sense of peace and warmth – the kind of countryside experience we absolutely love and will never forget.

20/06/2025: Un très bel endroit au milieu de la campagne du Basilicate et à quelques kilomètres de Matera. Accueil parfait, et en français. Une chambre très confortable et le lendemain, un petit déjeuner superbe, avec les produits de la ferme et venant aussi des alentours. À recommander absolument

13/10/2025: October 12, 2025 - A Meal of Irony First, however, I must offer a few words of praise to Mr. Pino and his family (staff) for welcoming me in the best possible way today for lunch. To Mr. Pino, I simply thank him because, with his politeness, genuineness, and lightheartedness, his ability to convey a love for his work is admirable; things that truly do the soul good. To his staff (family), I can only emphasize their excellent professionalism and friendliness. Why did I describe my meal as "ironic"? Simple, I don't eat fish, but I can't say no to a good plate of spaghetti with clams (delicious). For my second course, since I had a long journey ahead of me, I decided to have the green salad (Bravo! A healthy meal), finishing with a splendid and delicious Chicco di Caffè dessert (And here, I'd say I slipped up) and a classic coffee to round it all off. But before I left, I had the pleasure of chatting with Mr. Pino and "revealing my birthday." Ironically, he wasn't expecting that, and I greatly appreciated both him and his staff wishing me a happy birthday. I plan and hope to return to Mr. Pino's restaurant again, with whom I had the pleasure of spending a small part of my birthday. See you soon. Giuseppe

25/06/2025: Ho ordinato due pizze da asporto alle ore 13:50 . Sono le 15 e 10 e ancora non sono arrivate , e penso che non arriveranno più. Ottimo servizio , grazie per averci lasciati digiuni (abbiamo tentato 10 volte di metterci in contatto , nessuna risposta ricevuta).

15/10/2025: Quick lunch. Excellent friselle with delicious cured meats and burrata. Good wines by the glass, low prices. Very good.

13/10/2025: We stopped for an aperitif and two glasses of delicious wine. Finally, we ordered dinner and more wine. We were satisfied with everything!

06/09/2025: Nice, historic location. We had some desserts, but they weren't that impressive. The price was above average, so you expect to get above average food. That wasn't the case. Tasteless and colorless. I don't think I'd return...

05/08/2025: This review is exclusively for the della monaca, but that's enough to deserve 5 stars. The lightest Chantilly cream enhances the slightly moist dough, while the more intense pastry cream blends perfectly. Definitely among the best I've tasted in all of Lucania (and the surrounding area). Courtesy and an elegant atmosphere complement a delightful experience here in Matera.

09/10/2025: Very nice place, very clean, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I love sushi, but I've had better in other cities. Let's just say this is a good place to spend a pleasant evening with friends or family.

26/09/2025: Everything is top 😍 the Lucanian carbonara is excellent, absolutely a must try if you come to this place, the potatoes and cruschi and the battered cod are delicious and also the local red wine... the place is very welcoming and typical, the waitress Anna, an Argentine girl transplanted to Lagopesole, is absolutely kind, always with a smile, patient and prepared in explaining all the dishes... an experience to absolutely try again, highly recommended.

24/08/2025: Today we finally ate in this place, it is very difficult to find a seat because it is always full. Nice location near the sea. The staff is very kind. Good quality and well prepared food. Lunch was based on fish. I particularly recommend the seafood paccheri. We ate a series of starters and two types of first courses. The portions were so generous that we couldn't eat the second course. I recommend you try this restaurant. Book at least two weeks before the requested day to avoid disappointment.

17/09/2025: We had a crepe and if you are passing by or you want one I recommend stopping by for the quality and speed, the staff are also great!

30/08/2025: The gelato here is just the right amount of sweet and delicious! I tried the pistachio, caramel, and lemon flavors, and they were all delicious.

14/10/2025: A wonderful discovery in Matera! High-quality dishes that reinterpret Lucanian cuisine with flavor and creativity, ultra-fresh fish, and friendly service. The restaurant is in a splendid location in the heart of Matera, with a picturesque view and a welcoming atmosphere. The wine selection is also excellent and the prices are fair for the quality. A must-try!

15/09/2025: A good pizza that didn't make us wait long for the service, especially from a young worker who behaved really badly and rudely. If I had been alone, I would have left.

13/09/2025: On weekends, you'll have to wait if you've decided to order pizza, which is still very light and tasty. Prices are average. The desserts are also good, although the one I ordered, the namelaka, despite listing dark chocolate among the ingredients, had very little of it!

21/07/2025: Excellent food, dimly lit and unwelcoming location. Good selection of salads, overall quite comprehensive menu. I would have given the service a 5 if they hadn't messed up our takeout order: We put together our €8.90 salad from our cell phone with our choice of ingredients, specifying that we wanted salmon and cruschi peppers. When we got home, we were surprised to open the packages and find a plain salad WITHOUT ANY SALMON OR CRUSCHI PEPPERS... of a lower commercial value. Luckily we ordered and the menu was put together from our cell phone; a serious and unprofessional mistake. I didn't have time to return, but I'll definitely point it out, as I'll have the chance if I ever return.

02/08/2025: Posto appena fuori dal paese...accogliente e familiare. Siamo stati a pranzo, degustando antipasti fantastici, primi da leccarsi i baffi...e secondi di carne e di pesce squisiti. Posto consigliatissimo....
