17/02/2026: I recommend a stroll through Potenza and a visit to the historic Taverna Oraziana. Here, time has stood still, ensuring the respect for traditional, deliciously Lucanian dishes and the love for the environment, evident in the owner's splendid photos displayed throughout the restaurant. The food, hospitality, and atmosphere are truly superb!

11/12/2025: We stumbled upon Piaceri dell’Arrosto on the recommendation of locals. The location is immersed in nature, amidst the chirping of birds and the surrounding trees. The staff is courteous and friendly, not to mention the dishes, plentiful and excellent. I don't eat meat, but, despite the name, they have several vegetarian options, from appetizers to first courses. I'll definitely be back!

13/02/2026: Excellent café in a deserted area. Good coffee and pastries. Welcoming atmosphere. For those going to San Paolo Hospital, it's also a great choice for sandwiches and other items. Unfortunately, the hospital café closes at 3 PM and reopens only the next day. There's nothing nearby.

03/11/2025: Sala Ermica, the place that made us dream, the place that welcomed us for our wedding... Wonderful day 😍 And what can we say about Anna, the owner? She's a delightful person, very approachable, extremely knowledgeable about everything, very professional, and incredibly friendly. 🤭 We can only compliment Maitre Walter, who was so attentive to every moment; he even "sequestered" us at our table so we could eat at least one course the entire day. This truly touched us, because he showed a level of thoughtfulness we'd never seen before. Our compliments to the chef, he has golden hands. Whatever he cooks comes to life. Every single dish we tasted, every single one we ate, well, left you speechless. Every ingredient was perfectly proportioned, and even things we don't eat or like every day had a completely different flavor when cooked by him. Sublime. Everything was magically sublime! Sala Ermica, 5 stars and beyond 🥰

23/02/2026: The location is very easy to get to and very relaxing. The food is excellent, the house wine is excellent, and the attention to detail is superb. We were very, very satisfied! We'll be back for the "cartwheel" pizza.

16/11/2025: During a short tour of Basilicata, my brother and I stopped in Senise, home of the crusco pepper, and we really liked the Calycanthus restaurant, appreciating the delicious dishes, courtesy and location, it certainly deserves 5 stars.

03/01/2026: This review is for a dinner for two. The atmosphere is nice, a typical restaurant in the Sassi district. There's a limited selection of pizzas, but they're all delicious, including the one we chose. It's among the best we've had in Matera. The downside of the evening was the service. There was an excessive wait to order, and even worse after finishing the pizza. We waited a bit too long for dessert, which arrived a bit too late. Likewise, a couple of tourists at the table next to us left because of the excessive wait. Not good. One improvement I'd suggest is better communication among the staff (which probably needs to be improved on nights like this).
