03/06/2026: We were there on June 2nd with great anticipation given the almost all good reviews and to tell the truth regarding the beauty of the place, the view, the garden, the large room and the kindness of the staff nothing negative to say on the contrary it was a pleasant experience but unfortunately the food although excellent, genuine and tasty unfortunately too much, too little in quantity compared to the price paid (40 €). Really good appetizers but a small piece just to make your mouth water for each person, ham not even a whole slice but half a slice even, mini, microscopic pieces of tastings 1pwzxo of salami per person not to mention the first courses, literally 5 in number of strascinati and 7.8 macaroni that not even children are given so miserable, never seen in other agritourisms such a microscopic quantity of pasta despite paying less, roast not even abundant and also dry and dry so much so that it was not finished. In short we got up feeling hungrier than when we arrived. Unfortunately, to top it all off, there was a bit of confusion at the time of payment. Not only was the post office out of order, which we hadn't been told in advance, but "strangely" €35 wasn't in the bill after the guy who already had the money in his hand got distracted by going to his colleague's room and when he returned, he couldn't find the bill anymore. Oh, mystery! I'm really sorry because the view is worth it, but the food portions aren't.

Beyond the beauty of the location, what makes the difference is the staff: wonderful, kind, and always available to help guests. Impeccable service and a warm welcome. Highly recommended!

27/05/2026: Wonderful restaurant Pizza was awesome beautiful! They even threw hot peppers on for me. Got the Zia Caterina and have to say I’m surprised how much I like tuna on pizza! I never would have guessed that I’d like it so much. Beautiful town as well. I went for a walk and enjoyed the views. Thank you Grassano! Jay Bird

03/11/2025: Sala Ermica, the place that made us dream, the place that welcomed us for our wedding... Wonderful day 😍 And what can we say about Anna, the owner? She's a delightful person, very approachable, extremely knowledgeable about everything, very professional, and incredibly friendly. 🤭 We can only compliment Maitre Walter, who was so attentive to every moment; he even "sequestered" us at our table so we could eat at least one course the entire day. This truly touched us, because he showed a level of thoughtfulness we'd never seen before. Our compliments to the chef, he has golden hands. Whatever he cooks comes to life. Every single dish we tasted, every single one we ate, well, left you speechless. Every ingredient was perfectly proportioned, and even things we don't eat or like every day had a completely different flavor when cooked by him. Sublime. Everything was magically sublime! Sala Ermica, 5 stars and beyond 🥰

Ideal for a break for those visiting the city of the Sassi with limited time but still wanting to enjoy the local gastronomic tradition as well as the history and culture of Matera.

04/01/2026: What a wonderful experience and what a warm welcome. We had the privilege of meeting Greg and Silvia and sharing a culinary experience with them, "experiencing" the beauty of learning to make homemade pasta (cavatelli and orecchiette) with a sauce we prepared in the kitchen, then enjoying it with an excellent sweet wine, olives, cheese, and strictly local cured meats. The owners' involvement was beyond friendly. We have so much beauty that deserves to be shared, known throughout Basilicata, Italy, and the world.

01/06/2026: Excellent hotel to stay in the area. Clean, comfortable, and very cozy. Perfect air conditioning and not noisy. They have an excellent restaurant and a private beach with sun loungers and a restaurant on the sea.

31/05/2026: A dreadful welcome, not even a greeting; we were asked for €10 per bike to park them in the garage, but after a bit of insistence, it was finally free; basic comfort, definitely not worth 4 stars. Good breakfast, with staff who were finally friendly. Following this review, the manager replied that my dissatisfaction was probably due to the charge for the bikes, and that it was disappointing to see a gesture of goodwill turn into dissatisfaction. Rest assured, this is not the case, and instead of wasting time imagining why I might have thought the way I did, I urge you to address the lack of courtesy of your reception staff, both in the evening and in the morning. 01/05/2026: May Day lunch.... As soon as you enter, you're struck by the authenticity and beauty of the place. The owner and the staff are super kind and helpful. And then there's the deliciousness of the appetizers, the first course, and the second courses, all locally sourced. Not to mention the super delicious dessert, I had seconds (which is very difficult). It was a wonderful culinary experience. Highly recommended.

23/02/2026: The location is very easy to get to and very relaxing. The food is excellent, the house wine is excellent, and the attention to detail is superb. We were very, very satisfied! We'll be back for the "cartwheel" pizza.
