Excellent local cuisine, with truly exceptional traditional dishes and a memorable mixed roast. The only downside is the commercial desserts (we recommend the homemade local desserts, in keeping with the rest of the dishes). The owner and his son are truly kind, hospitable, and attentive. Overall, we'll definitely be back!

A quaint restaurant in the heart of Castelmezzano. Excellent food, fresh pasta. The vegetarian appetizers were also very well-stocked. The friendly staff made us feel at home. Thank you!

Everything was perfect, Antonio Santoro does everything, chef and service, he's an excellent person, the food is fantastic with a homemade taste, in the evening like almost everywhere in Italy it opens at 8 pm, it's definitely an excellent place to end a very peaceful day.

Nice place, traditional cuisine and well-prepared dishes, family-run, and fairly fair prices. I would make a few small changes to the portions; the appetizer is listed for two people, but honestly, one is more than enough. Considering the price, it could be better. Overall, a positive experience.

08/04/2026: A unique experience, led by the owner who, in addition to explaining the dishes, also shares the history of the ingredients and the Lucanian region. Handmade pasta, seasonal vegetables from the garden. Everything, from the appetizers to the rosolio, is made with passion and authenticity. Cruschi peppers and yellow eggplant are some simple yet characteristic dishes of Basilicata.
17/03/2026: We were there on Sunday with the "@kamnandazz" group. Excellent food, kind and courteous staff. A special shout out to the owner Michele, who has continued to run this place with passion, love, and quality for generations!!! Excellent Michele 💪💪 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ‼️‼️

Lanterna Verde

11/04/2026: Lanterna Verde, in the heart of Trecchina, is a place that manages to combine the welcoming atmosphere of an osteria with the attention to detail of a restaurant and the versatility of a pizzeria. The menu is wide and varied, with carefully presented dishes and an almost gourmet touch, making the experience enjoyable from the very first glance. The portions aren't particularly generous, but the quality more than makes up for it. I didn't have the chance to try the pizza, but watching it being passed around the tables nearby, it looked truly inviting, well-leavened and packed with fresh ingredients. I opted for the meat, which was tender and flavorful, accompanied by simple but well-prepared side dishes. The cod fillet was also excellent, tender, delicate, and cooked with great balance of flavors. The deconstructed cake served at the end of the meal was a pleasant surprise, delicious without being heavy. The service was courteous and helpful, with attentive but never intrusive staff. Overall, Lanterna Verde is a place worth a visit: a refined restaurant with well-crafted dishes and a relaxing atmosphere. It deserves four stars, and I'm eager to return to finally try the pizza.
