We dined at this restaurant with a breathtaking view during our three-day stay in Castelmezzano. The staff were incredibly friendly, the food was authentically home-cooked, and the prices were more than reasonable. We highly recommend it.

While touring Basilicata, we couldn't miss Castelmezzano. While waiting for the sledge lift to open (3:30 PM on a weekday in July), after wandering around the town, we decided to stop for lunch. We stopped at this restaurant and asked, but it wasn't the best impression. The first thing they told us was that the restaurant closes at 2:30 PM... There were two of us, and they only brought us one menu. No problem, we ordered an appetizer and two different first courses. While we were waiting for our dishes, another couple asked for the set menu, an option they hadn't explained to us. Luckily, when the dishes arrived, we were able to smile again. The appetizers were of good quality and quantity, and the two first courses were even better. So, all in all, the food was very good, well-served, and truly delicious. They should work a little harder on customer service.
