I went for lunch with my family and friends, and we had a wonderful meal. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I'll definitely be back. Antonio and his family are a guarantee. It was a wonderful day.

Good food is not just make you feel good. The service, the ambience and off course the food itself takes you thru an awesome journey. A great place to eat, whether after a hike, before, or even instead of it! 😀 The welcome is warm, friendly, and multilingual. The soup is delicious and hearty, and the roast meats are very generous. A must-visit when you're in Castelmezzano.

Excellent local cuisine, with truly exceptional traditional dishes and a memorable mixed roast. The only downside is the commercial desserts (we recommend the homemade local desserts, in keeping with the rest of the dishes). The owner and his son are truly kind, hospitable, and attentive. Overall, we'll definitely be back!

A quaint restaurant in the heart of Castelmezzano. Excellent food, fresh pasta. The vegetarian appetizers were also very well-stocked. The friendly staff made us feel at home. Thank you!

14/05/2026: This restaurant has a rich cultural heritage; it's nearly 100 years old, and the building itself is over 100 years old. That's why it received a cultural award, which is quite unique. The food is Southern Italian cuisine. Local red peppers (I didn't take a picture) are used in the dishes, and they're very fragrant. Please see the photos for food descriptions. Overall, it suited my taste. Personally, I think everything—from the sourdough bread and cheese platter to the raw meat platter—was delicious. If you're ever in this area, I highly recommend trying it. 👍🏻😊

Lanterna Verde

11/04/2026: Lanterna Verde, in the heart of Trecchina, is a place that manages to combine the welcoming atmosphere of an osteria with the attention to detail of a restaurant and the versatility of a pizzeria. The menu is wide and varied, with carefully presented dishes and an almost gourmet touch, making the experience enjoyable from the very first glance. The portions aren't particularly generous, but the quality more than makes up for it. I didn't have the chance to try the pizza, but watching it being passed around the tables nearby, it looked truly inviting, well-leavened and packed with fresh ingredients. I opted for the meat, which was tender and flavorful, accompanied by simple but well-prepared side dishes. The cod fillet was also excellent, tender, delicate, and cooked with great balance of flavors. The deconstructed cake served at the end of the meal was a pleasant surprise, delicious without being heavy. The service was courteous and helpful, with attentive but never intrusive staff. Overall, Lanterna Verde is a place worth a visit: a refined restaurant with well-crafted dishes and a relaxing atmosphere. It deserves four stars, and I'm eager to return to finally try the pizza.
