20/05/2026: Finally, the first good restaurant I found in the region. There are so many restaurants but many are very touristic and food is mediocre. The food here was delicious and tasted fresh and flavorful. Service was warm. A place I would come back to if I lived in the area. It can become a long meal if you order many courses as it’s run by a small team. We had nowhere else to be though and enjoyed the experience. Try to make a reservation to avoid disappointment! Or come early at opening and hope for a last minute table.

06/08/2026: A true highlight in Kaltern! As a motorcyclist on a road trip, I became aware of Spuntloch through the many positive reviews, and they didn't overpromise. The steak was of outstanding quality and grilled to perfection. The side dishes and sauces were also excellent. The service was warm and attentive, and you feel welcome from the very first moment. The stylish ambiance perfectly complements the experience. Anyone who loves good meat should definitely visit this restaurant. For me, it was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Thank you for the wonderful evening; I'll gladly return on my next motorcycle tour! 🏍️🥩

04/08/2026: Everything here is just perfect! A lovely atmosphere in the vaulted cellar, incredibly friendly and attentive service, excellent advice on wines and dishes, and of course, fantastic food. Even though the restaurant was packed, we felt that they always had time for us and wanted to give us the best possible experience. Sitting and eating right at the bar on the bench was unusual, but very pleasant, as we were always exceptionally well looked after. The steaks were cooked to perfection and delicious, especially with the dip. The cheese platter and the sorbet were also divine. We'll definitely be back!

15/07/2026: 5 ***** is too low!!! We had dinner this evening at Panacea and can say it was a unique experience. Our daughter enjoyed a first course that was nothing short of exceptional, with freshly made ragù. To give us an idea of ​​the quality she'd soon be eating, the owner brought us a bruschetta with the same sauce she'd be eating. For the main course, my partner and I chose a Chianina Angus steak, about 1.4 kg. 🤤 It was exceptionally high-quality meat, perfectly cooked and rich in flavor, something I don't think I've ever tasted before. It was all accompanied by two excellent glasses of wine and delicious side dishes: sweet and sour white zucchini and cannellini beans with fresh porcini mushrooms. It was all delicious. A special thanks to the owner, who, by explaining the different qualities and varieties of meat available, conveyed all the passion and expertise he puts into his work. It was a pleasure to hear his advice. Kudos also to the two waiters who looked after us throughout the evening: friendly, professional, and attentive. The service was truly impeccable. This is no small feat, as I'm lactose intolerant, and after a dinner like this I could finish with a lactose-free dessert (which is not a given, I can assure you). It was the icing on the cake of a perfect end-of-vacation dinner. Highly recommended!

14/08/2026: We stopped here for a aperitivo, it was lovely I have a limoncello spritz and my partner had a coke zero, they brought us out some Bruschetta and some cheese , it hit the spot exactly what we needed while enjoying some shelter away from the sun

The star of the show is, of course, the top-quality meat, but a special mention goes to the service, always attentive and courteous, capable of accommodating every request with utmost professionalism. 03/08/2026: I don't usually like writing restaurant reviews, but I am writing one today for the special reason. While traveling around Switzerland for eight days with local acquaintances, I faced complaints because we ordered regular steaks due to the prohibitively high prices (170 Swiss francs for a two-person Tomahawk). However, here, eight of us felt at ease and ordered two plates of Tomahawk steaks along with a few other dishes. The Tomahawk steaks we were served were surprisingly large for all of us, and the doneness was exactly medium-rare for us. Even my wife, who is usually quite critical of food, repeatedly expressed her satisfaction. I am not very good at describing taste, so I cannot write much more, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank the restaurant for providing a delicious meal that satisfied our entire group. In particular, the restaurant had a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, which made some of our companions even happier.

22/05/2026: We found this place almost by chance to satisfy our craving for red meat, and it turned out to be a wonderful discovery. We ordered the mixed grill with rib-eye steak for two to share (€55) and were truly impressed: the rib-eye steak, about 900g, was out of this world, cooked to perfection, with an excellent grilled flavor, and decidedly filling. The grill also included sausage, coppone, pancetta, and grilled polenta. Overall, a very generous portion, more than enough for a dinner for two. As an appetizer, we also recommend the Tuscan chicken liver crostini, if you like that kind of food: really good. The staff is also very welcoming and friendly, and the place is beautiful. We'll definitely be back!
